Not knowing the area very well we kinda just stumbled upon this one. Well, no disappointment here, they have everything. They now have a soul cycle and my girl is stoked about that even more so because Lululemon is just around the corner. Oh I could go on and on but you get it. This is my favorite mall to shop. They have wonderful stores and it is such a clean and pleasing place to be. The play place is really great for kids but can get pretty crowded at times. read more

Lovely stores, awesome little fountain for kids, but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to walk from one side of the shops to the other - there really should be a light at the center intersection. Making a left turn out of the one side of shops is a losing battle. And seriously - no public bathroom? The folks at Marmalade Cafe were nice to let us use theirs and I hate to sound ungrateful - but it was a mess. Pretty gross, guys. read more

I love going to Plaza El Segundo. It has just about everything I need these days. I can go to Whole Foods, stop off at Dicks, and then run over to Veggie Grill for lunch!! During the holidays they always have great activities for the whole family too! My kids love going and playing in the fountain by Pinkberry too. I was looking for The Container Store in the area so I yelped it and ended up at the plaza. After spending 2 hours inside the store, I got in my car and was just about to drive off, when I realized how big the plaza was! Lol I kept looking left and right, and realized they have all my favorite stores! Why have I not been here before?? They definitely cater to a certain clientele. Parking was a little hectic. Some stores are on the other side of the street. It seems they have kid-friendly places, but I also would love coming here alone. That way, you can get your coffee from Starbucks, and just take your time going from store to store. Go to whole foods for a snack, or pinkberry for something sweet. Get your hair done at Drybar and your nails done at The Nail Garden. Then spend hours at sur la table, Cost Plus, etc looking at every single item and convincing yourself you need it... No matter what store I choose to visit (and let me tell you, there's something for everybody there!) I have always been treated with respect and as if I was the only customer in the place. Add to this the beautifully landscaped grounds and aesthetically pleasing appearance, and I have to give a big thumbs up to the developers who brought this jewel to the South Bay. Bravo! read more

Plaza El Segundo is a wonderful addition to our Manhattan Beach neighborhood. After getting to know all their great stores over the last 2 years, the Plaza is the first stop on all my shopping trips. Best land use in the area since they built LAX. Great stores, restaurants, layout. Much less crowded than Manhattan Village. Actually compliments the other shopping centers in the area with it's creative and balanced tenant mix. read more

I love the stores hate the people. Let me explain myself, the variety and quality of stores and eateries is amazing, but the snobby attitudes I can do without. I'll summarize my trip just to prove it wasn't a fluke. First stop: Anthropologie. The manager in the store somehow managed to NOT offer to start me a fitting room despite the arm full of clothing I had. Lucky they had the last sized dress I wanted at their location, and that I love Anthropologie more than life itself, otherwise I would have left empty handed. Second stop: Banana Republic. Walked in and the suuuuper flamboyant associate couldn't manage to actually break himself from work gossip to greet me. No purchase here. Third stop: J. Crew. somehow the 20 something year old folding clothes managed to stare me down like it was no ones business. Bleh. Fourth stop: Best Buy. As I meandered my way through one of the most ridiculous line mazes, I, the lone customer in line waited patiently for the two cashiers to decide who was going to ring me up. Then after a game of rps (j/k) was relunctantly called upon "I'll take the next customer in line." I looked behind me...yup, still the only one in line (nope not kidding). I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the stores they've got and I can't complain about the service I've had at The Counter, Veggie Grill, Whole Foods, or Active. I'm by no means an Orange County Housewife, but at the same time I don't dress like a bum when I shop. Come on Plaza El Segundo; tell your retailers to catch up to the image you've spent so much money to build. read more

My daughter has been asking for a pair of Lululemon's for a few months now, and I had promised her a pair for her birthday (which was earlier this week). We had already been to the Del Amo location a few times, and after trying on a few pairs she had decided on the style she liked. Fortunately (yes I did say fortunately) Del Amo was out of stock with her choice, so we headed over to El Segundo. We were immediately greeted, and then asked a few questions to help narrow down our options. Then we were "handed off" to Leslie, who proceeded to ask a few more questions and then began to offer us a few choices. Six pairs and a few size options later, a choice was made. I need to say that Leslie was great throughout the whole process, and we left with a different choice than we came in for. So happy she took the time to help my daughter make the right choice. read more

Do NOT use this store. It's a "Connect Wireless" store with a very lousy policy on returns even if they are unopened. Bottom line...ABSOLUTLY no returns after 15 days. My husband made the mistake of buying a $200 cell phone replacement for me there a month ago and he also purchased the car charger...thinking my existing car charger wouldn't work with the new phone. Well surprise surprise it did so when we finally got round to returning the un-needed car charger ($15 value) a month later we were met with a No Way Jose stance even by the "Manager". If you're looking for a Verizon product use the "real" Verizon store at Oceangate. The wait time at Oceangate might be a little long sometimes but believe me the Customer Service is far far far superior and they don't have that ridiculous nonsensical 15-day policy! read more

We normally shop at Bristol Farms so we thought we'd give Whole Foods Market in El Segundo a try. This is a beautiful store and they have a meat section and vegetable section that is very fresh looking and WOW, what a selection! We decided to purchase some of their already made dishes / soup for our dinner. Well, that was our mistake - it was about 4:30 PM on Saturday, April 21, 2012 when we purchased the barley / mushroom soup, lemon chicken soup, pasta salad, and a Greek salad for our dinner. ALL 4 dishes tasted OLD like it may have been there since the morning. Maybe we should have asked for fresh food. We did purchase a loaf of fresh French bread from the bakery that was very good - this is what we ended up eating and threw the rest of the dishes away - we're talking $52 later! read more

The people were friendly and helpful when I went in on Black Friday 2008. The problems caused didn't get resolved until January 2010. This "Verizon" store can do whatever they want to your account and they're the only ones who can "fix" it. The Verizon customer service can't help you until to get to the top levels of customer service. They had an employee scam one of my phone numbers and issue themselves this fancy phone for free using my eligibility. They eventually fired this employee but even after calling and going back to the store they didn't reactivate my correct eligibility on two of my lines. It took multiple calls & e-mails over 14 months to resolve the issues. Beware of "satellite" branches of Verizon! read more

Plaza El Segundo has the greatest shopping in the South Bay with everything in this beautiful center. Even the art sculptures are different from other centers--fun and quirky. There is a HUGE Whole Foods where you can have a great lunch--La Sirena Grill has amazing and healthy Mexican food and then you can shop forever in cool boutique-y stores like Varga, YaYa's and David's Shoes--in addition to the bigger ones we all know --Anthro and Sur La Table!!! I love The Veggie Grill! It is delicious and good for you! Everyone knows about the sweet potato fries, right? If not go there asap and order some with ranch dressing. I even take my kids there for dinner. Healthy food which tastes yummy! Next time I am going to try their carrot cake ..... I also love the yogaworks studio, beautiful. The boutique attached to the studio is also nice for gifts for yoga practitioners. Walk upstairs, don't be afraid. Anthropologie is a must stop for inspiration and drooling over the unusual and exotic window merchandising! Everytime I walk in, I walk out a refreshed person. Now I don't have to go to Santa Monica when I need a dose of bohemia. There's J Crew for when I'm feeling classic and Borders when its raining. Have you seen the beautiful birds at the Pet store? They are all unusual and inspiring. They have a dedicated crew who come in and take care of them daily. it's the cleanest pet store you have ever seen! It was all I could do to leave without commiting to a bird or two.Maybe someday! Whole Foods, restaurants, easy parking, Sur la Table, its all there. All in all a nice addition to the South Bay area. read more
