Went for dinner with my sister the other night. We have been here multiple times and let me say the food is always consistent- hence 4 stars and 5 other times. However, we have noticed a server issue the last few times we have been. This most recent time, it took over 10 minutes to have someone come and take our drink order. We had multiple servers and employees walk by and interact and finally after making awkward eye contact another server got ours. We ordered everything at once- cheese dip, 2 pollo Guadalajara, and 2 margaritas on the rocks with salt. The food was absolutely delicious like always, however the margaritas were so bad we both left basically full margaritas when we left (server never asked or anything because she really never came back) We paid the check and not only were the bad margaritas on the check (we didn't complain so expected to pay) but they were also full price even though we had been there for happy hour (half the price) We paid the check and didn't want to ruffle feathers especially since our food was delicious and left but please work on customer service and make margs taste like margs not way too sweet sugar mix read more

This place is a joke! I have a legally registered support animal which mind you has been in there numerous time without objection by anyone until this rude employee who claimed to be the daughter of the owner refused me service, even though I was just getting carry out! I take my support animal with me everywhere as I am legally permitted to do! They will for sure never have my business again. I ordered Door Dash, food came and I was missing the chips, we had about $20 dollars worth of dips along with our entrees so I called the restaurant to let them know that our order was wrong, I told them I was t asking for anything just mad because it was a lot of dips that was going to to go to waste. Lady on the phone told me Door Dash forbid them from sending chips out unless I specifically asked, I told her why would I need to specifically ask for them when I bought several dips, what did they thing I was going to do with them??? The food was good... don't get me wrong. But it seemed understaffed because of how long it took for us to get our orders taken and our food to us. I only ate half my food because I filled up on chips... because it was taking so long!! I do applaud them for doing their best to deal with the large party I was in, but the waiter we had did not speak very good English and sadly not many of us could understand. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME... Server was rude af. We were interrupting there soccer game. Margarita tasted soapy! Taco salad had a river of oil and water on the plate in less than 5 minutes at the table. My wife was disgusted I tasted the meat just for GP... literally tasteless like nothing but oil. "Barf". Texas fajitas??? The closest you'll find to authentic Mexican food in the Ocean City area. Having tried both Taco Junction and Tequila Mockingbird with mediocre results, I found Plaza Tapatia and was pleasantly surprised. First off the server was great. Really made me feel like my business was truly appreciated. Restaurant was fairly clean and the prices were very reasonable. I had the beef tip enchiladas with a side of guacamole, everything was delicious. I highly recommend this establishment! The food came out fast and fresh, and was absolutely delicious! Here's how good the food was: My father (who dined in with me) is notorious for never finishing his food, but by the end of our meal he had completely eaten his food and was scraping the bottom of his plate lol! Poor service and a decline in the quality of food. I considered giving this review a one star, but I've been coming here for so many years that I just couldn't do it. I'm not sure what has happened to this restaurant. The only thing that seemed to be on point was the salsa - everything else was poor at best. For starters, it was a Saturday night and the restaurant was not busy, possibly due to the heavy rain storms. It took about 15 minutes for our waitress to arrive at our table. She arrived with chips and salsa and took our drink order and appetizer order. Twenty minutes later, we still had no water or drinks and we had to track our waitress down and reminded her of our order. The margarita was not like the ones I've had in the past...almost like they used a different recipe. My family always orders fajitas. When our fajitas finally arrived, everything was over cooked, like it had been sitting in a warming tray all day. The shrimp were dead and the chicken and steak were dry. Once we asked for our check, we waited about twenty minutes before we had to send someone to the bar area to find out waitress (who was chatting with other employees) and remind her that we had asked for our check. I truly feel like i'm on vacation when I go there. Their beverages are amazing. If you like piña coladas, I highly recommend theirs! My favorite dish is the Quesadilla Tapatia. Their white sauce served with their chips is also to die for. The food is so savory. If you have room, due to their large portions, for dessert they have the best fried ice cream. Delicious food and very good service- Kathy was awesome! I had the Quesadilla Tapatia, which contained very tender, flavorful beef that was kind of shredded, with cheese. It came with rice, beans, a little salad, sour cream and guacamole on the side. It was excellent! My husband enjoyed his chicken quesadilla, and my son had a mixed enchilada plate with 4 different kinds, and he loved it. My daughter had a beef chimichanga and she said it was delicious too. The sangria was just okay. Next time I'll try the margarita instead. They have a good Mexican beer on tap too. Ordered via Grubhub. My grubhub driver was awesome! she texted me to tell me the restaurant was out of black beans, olives and corn. What?!?! Then I notice I have not one but two emails from grubhub saying that the restaurant has up charged me for my order! And addition $11! All of our instructors were not followed. The items we did get were not even made to their specification! then the food was packaged in such a way that everything was a giant pile of mush.
