My havanese had a couple matted spots and they shaved her down completely and nicked her behind. She has not been herself the last 3 days and is just laying around. They were very rude about the matted hair and pretty much shaved her down just out of anger and to upset me. Do not take your dog here. read more

I was very nervous taking my dog to a new groomer after moving and with him recently going blind. I showed the groomer pictures of how I liked him cut & told him that he responds well to touch and sound. When I picked him up he looked exactly how I liked and was wagging his tail like crazy. The groomer said he was very good and did well in the pen with the other dogs. When we got in the car he was showering me with kisses, a sign that he was happy there. Will def be back! read more

Called to make an appointment after I met someone who has a dog similar to ours who recommended them. No answer. messaged on FB, no answer. Called again and was told they don't see Old English Sheep dogs and that there's no way they see a Bernadoodle. I was confused. I have a dog, you're a groomer and you refuse business? It was a money conversation. She hasn't met my dog.... So why would a dog spa refuse a new customer and so rude at the same time? My dog isn't the easiest to groom- she has a huge fear of nail clipping. Fran has always cheerfully and skillfully handled her anxiety and got her looking great. My dog likes to freedom of running around with similar sized dogs while she waits instead of being crated. I have always been happy with the results- which we cannot say about a couple others we tried. read more

Took both schnauzers to be bathed and groomed last week. After about 4 hours, the groomer called and said she was only bathing one and not grooming it. She said it "moved around too much". Additionally, the other dog was not given a schnauzer cut. This is the second time I have spoken to this groomer as to whether she knew how to give a schnauzer cut. She assured me it would be done this time. Nope. She just cut the legs straight and beard was cut off. These dogs were not matted, so there was no reason for this. $125 for one wrong haircut and a simple bath for another. They lost us. My wife called about this issue and they promised to call her back. That was a week ago. No call. Will never recommend or go there again. read more

They cut off my dogs, long beautiful ears. They said they had mats. They were not matted. They were long, beautiful ears, and now they are cut off up to the leather. And then they have the nerve to yell at me on the phone and say "we will just send your dog home with knots next time." No they won't because they'll never see my dogs again. read more

Awesome staff- but difficult to get a last minute appointment even as a long time customer. No one will voluntarily offer to schedule a new one when you check out so you'll have to remember to request when you pay. Not the cheapest either but you get what you pay for. read more

Excellent at grooming but very bad treatment of animals. Recently we took our dog in at 9:00 AM, & he wasn't ready until after 5:00PM. No apology or even excuse when we picked him up. When we got him home, he was starving, &, after he ate, he pooped twice right away (never had done this). Clearly nothing had been done to take care of him all day. I understand that they're under-staffed & over-worked, but neglecting & mistreating any animal is totally unacceptable. We won't be going back. read more

When we got home from Pleasant Paws we found a SIGNIFICANT scrape on the side of our dog's neck that we were NEVER informed of. When I called I was told that this is impossible and that I was lying (this is without seeing any pictures of the wound). She also tried to back track and say it was caused by his harness (which doesn't even touch this area). A significant wound on my dog's neck should have been addressed instantly upon our arrival. Attached is a picture of the scrape. This is unacceptable behavior from a "5 star establishment" and I would not recommend this facility to anyone (let the picture and customer service show why) read more

I brought my dog home today and noticed that his right eye was bloodshot and he could hardly open it. I took him for a walk, and his poop was blood. I don't know what happened to him, but it made me cry. My appointment was at 10 but they could not get to him until after 4 o'clock in the afternoon. We brought both of our dogs here during drop off time in the morning, and they came out looking so fresh and clean a couple hours later :) the spa is clean and smells great when walking in. Our puppy also had a lot of fun hanging out with the big dogs, while our little dog (8 lbs) was taken to a different area for being small and older. They are detailed with needing vet records and have a thorough application to be filled out for each dog which I think is a great sign for great service. The owner and staff were very friendly and greeted both of our dogs when we brought them in. They are also reasonably priced for the wonderful service they offer. We will be back :) read more

We tried this groomer because of a recommendation from a friend and we were NOT disappointed. We have an American Eskimo (which can be temperamental at times) and many groomers aren't exactly sure of how to trim them. Our boy looks so good!! He smells so good!! I am allergic a lot of fragrance and the shampoo they use is mild and does not bother my allergies at all. He was so happy when we picked him up. I love that he gets to socialize with other dogs and people. I cannot say enough about this puppy spa!! They are amazing and we will not being going anywhere else!! read more

Although I have since relocated, Pleasant Paws was my go-to to get my Cairn Terrier, Bella, groomed. They were always so accommodating to my schedule, and my dog always left looking better than I'd expected. Their prices are comparable to other groomers in the area (whom I did use before coming here), but the results are more consistent than any other groomer I've been to. Now that I'm miles and miles away, I've been searching for a new groomer, but nothing has come close to Pleasant Paws! read more

I met her before she opened her own shop and of course followed her to her new location because I have always been 110% pleased with her work. The cut is always great! I got a second dog this past year and he loves Michelle just as much as my first dog does. Just took Jasper for a grooming today after leaving our mobile groomer of 15 years. I wish they would have been a little more explanatory in the services they would provide in a grooming, but loved that Jasper was free and not crated all day and hung out with dogs at his own pace (snail's). When he waddled back to hang out in the grooming salon, a puppy tried a little too hard to play with him. One of the workers instantly removed the puppy. I'm not huge on leaving reviews but I have to because Michelle did a fantastic job on my Murphy a few weeks ago. He usually hates visiting the groomer and he appeared the most calm I've ever seen when I dropped him off and picked him up. We had in the past been using the chain pet store for grooming our Bichon, $66 average bill however the consistency was never there as you would get a different groomer every time ( not slamming them as they are super friendly at the Belle Hall location) My daughter took her pup to Pleasant Paws and they did a great job so I scheduled our 11 y/o Bichon with Michelle and was very pleased with the results, and it was less expensive which is a plus. Michelle has been grooming my dog for years, so when she and Fran opened their own business, we happily followed her there. Michelle does a great job grooming my furry dog! He seems to know, too, because he is all smiles at pickup and prances around to show off his new do. When we arrive he trots right up to their door and is eager to go in. I hardly ever write these reviews but I visited Pleasant Paws after reading the two previous positive reviews and wanted to chime in. DO NOT take your pet there! Michelle was nice, but the other woman who works there is a nightmare! She was swearing at my dog when I picked her up and when she couldn't hear me on the phone she put the phone down and dropped an F bomb because she thought I couldn't hear her! This girl has no sense of professionalism and not to mention my dog always came home upset! She would continually pee all over the house but never does that after going to other groomers.
