This clinic is absolute garbage. I took my kids here for years and they have awful service, you will never get to see your preferred provider and the staff are not very friendly. I see a new pediatrician who are friendly, on time I always get to see my provider and I'm incredibly happy now. Don't waste your time going here. We are glad we switched from this pediatrician office to our current one. We probably went to this office a dozen times before we gave up. It was rare to be able to see the same provider more than 1-2 times, so continuity of care was lacking. Medical assistants appeared miserable, not friendly or smiling. They would administer vaccines in a very cold manner, with little effort to try to soothe or connect with my child. We didn't know better, being first time parents, and they convinced us to have our son's circumcision performed there. We wish we didn't. Unfortunately, what's done is done. The experience was what we consider traumatic; for us and our son. We figured out later that the provider didn't do a good job. They should have referred us to a urologist. Our new pediatrician referred us to a urologist to have our 2nd son's procedure done and it was a completely different & much better experience and outcome. In the past year or 2, I was using this office as a back up to our new pediatrician since they are open on Saturdays. That is, until they turned our newborn baby away. They canceled on us within an hour of our appointment. I was actually ready to get my family in the car when the receptionist called. They wanted me to verbally commit to using them as my son's primary care provider before they would allow me to keep the appointment I made. I would not commit at the time, so the receptionist canceled my appointment, stating that "because the provider has not seen him before" they would be unable to see him for his appointment that day (a Saturday). That sounded like a made up reason to me. My newborn was 2-3 weeks old at the time & had uncomplicated birth/no medical conditions, so not much medical history was available that could have possibly helped them better understand his acute condition (upper respiratory infection) that I could see. I had to ask the receptionist what I should do with my really sick newborn since they refused to see him. She admitted she was unsure, but that maybe I could try an urgent care. I went to an urgent care out of desperation and learned they do not take newborns. FYI, I learned from the urgent care, your best bet in this situation is to go to an emergency dept like at Phoenix Children's. I felt so alone and stressed because of this horrible experience. This office is horrible. My son had a virus from early December to Mid March and went into this office to get him checked at least 8 times within that time frame. They only perscribed my son amoxicillin one time and it helped him tremendously in that time frame. But then I ran out of the antibiotic for my son. After a few days with him not having his antibiotic he got really bad again so I took him into get seen by Dr.Campbell and Charlotte multiple times. BOTH DOCTORS REFUSED EVERY TIKE TO GIVE HIM AM ANTIBIOTIC!!! They sat there and saw my son struggle. For a while I refused to go back to them. That same night I went and schedule a video phone call to goodnight pediatrics and guess what the first thing they did was after seeing my son?? PERSCRIBE HIM A DAMN ANTIBIOTIC AND 3 refills. My son is doing amazing now, he will not see them ever again. IT DOESNT STOP THERE!!!!! My daughter was born in December and I took her for her 4 month checkup. She was supposed to receive vaccines during that visit but THEY GAVE MY DAUGHTER THE DAMN WRONG ONE!! I would never go to this office. They don't triple check Jack shit, they don't help your kid, their way or the highway. PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!! read more

My son had fever for 2 weeks when I took him in the first time. The first Doctor didn't schedule any tests on him. I took him in again, that same month, the 2nd Doctor didn't run any tests knowing he'd had fever for a whole month. That same week, I took him in again to tell the doctor to run tests on him. I explained my dissatisfaction to the front office on why I didn't believe I had to pay for the 3rd visit. If the 1st and 2nd Doctor had done their job in ordering lab work and tests, I wouldn't have to be there, again, in the same week! They understood and told me they would waive the 100.00 fee. After they did a nasal swab for the flu and for Covid, they determined he had an upper respiratory infection. We insisted that they provide antibiotics which the PA charlotte Ruiz said she would. I get to Walgreens to find out she only prescribed a Zyrtec allergy syrup. When I called to ask them if they just forgot to put in the prescription I was told that she will not be recommending antibiotics because it's not a serious infection???? How do you figure it's not serious if my son can't breathe?? Went to take my baby in to see Dr. A. Osborn and I was very saddened by the lack of communication and candor by everyone at the office. We were rushed in and out , the provider wouldn't take the time to discuss options with us , it was there way or the highway. If you had a good experience here that's great, but we will not be going back to pleasant peds. We like to have a say in our children's development and don't agree with the in and out manufacturing process of this practice. The office is very patient and schedules my son right away when he has an infection! They work with you, unlike Great Destinations that schedules you way out weeks to 2 months, even when when your child has an infection! I was amazed at how quickly Pleasant Pediatrics made appointments available after the CDC both approved the initial Covid shots and the boosters for kids. I miscalculated one of my kids' eligibility dates and they were able to switch things on the fly so that my daughter could be vaccinated instead and my son was able to be rescheduled for his date of eligibility. They have been nothing but professional and helpful and I really appreciate their service. read more

My husband and myself received our second vaccine from Pleasant Pediatrics on 4/17/21 (which is a weekend). The staff was very organized and pleasant. We both were happy to be able to get an appointment so close to home. However, a claim was submitted, to my insurance company, from Pleasant Pediatrics for a weekend office visit. WHAT!! There was nothing on the website about being charged for a weekend appointment. Additionally, prior to the vaccine, the staff didn't mention that we would be changed for this. Very friendly staff and providers. Overall, I've been generally satisfied, but there have been a few instances where it feels like the providers are rushed and don't provide a thorough examination. We also had a PA tell us our son was "probably just cold" when we brought him in because he woke up with purple hands, feet, and lips - which, don't even get me started (he responded well to a breathing treatment, so we decided to bring him in vs. going to an ER). There was also some confusion with an old insurer of mine, and the lady who runs billing or the back office functions was over the top rude about it. Threatened to cancel an appointment because our insurance hadn't paid claims (not my problem), and closed my son's chart. Thankfully, I had a new insurance when I called to make another appointment, and they were happy to reopen his chart. It's one of those situations where I'm happy to stay, but I also won't hesitate to leave the next time something happens. read more

First off, I called this office before scheduling, explained my children are medically complex and asked if that would be an issue. I was told providers had no issues with that and could handle it. I visited the same provider 2 times with 2 different kids. First visit was great, no issues. Second visit was a nightmare. The provider arrived to the office late and seemed rushed. I started listing my child's complaints and the provider said that was too much for a main visit, what was my main concern. She then asked if I felt my child was faking. My child and I both left in tears and my child was hospitalized days later for almost an entire week, I feel like it reflects on this providers negligence. Sorry but you can't fake biopsy and mri results. We called back with an insurance update and the receptionist was incredibly rude and said we would have to call billing,she couldn't help. My family and I will never set foot in this horrific establishment again, as I prefer my kids happy and healthy as opposed to crying and near death. read more

However when I asked to use an alternate vaccine schedule that doesn't dump higher than recommended levels of aluminum and toxins they said they no longer allow parents the freedom to use alternate schedules to protect their children. Despite their being ample studies supporting alternate schedules. Take a look at Dr. Paul's Vaccine Friendly plan, or look at actual research. We love Dr Osborn, she is our favorite. She unfortunately though is the only reason we stay at Pleasant Pediatrics, the nursing staff and MAs are horrible. I have yet to have a single good experience with one of them. They are unprofessional. I cant even think of a particular instance because they have ALL been bad. We had a nurse randomly walk into our room and say my son needed a rectal temp. After I argued and said I wasn't sure why, I finally let her do it. Afterwards she said "oops I think im in the wrong room" and she ran out without saying a word to us. I called yesterday in a bit of a panic as my 11 month old was having a sever allergic reaction to a nurse answering the phone telling me she had no advice, she didn't know what I could give him and she had no one else to ask because everyone was at lunch. I asked if I should take him to the ER and she said " I don't know, if you want." I asked if i could give him Benadryl and she said "I dont know what babies that age can have" I asked if I could bring him in then and she said " were really busy today" I litereally dread all experince with all the nurses. I wish Dr Osborn would leave so that we could follow her to somewhere with more competent and better trained staff. read more

I took my son here to get circumcised and we had to rush him to the emergency room immediately, Dr. Vinodh vasudevan cut him to much and couldn't stop the bleeding, during the procedure he left the room to go get his glasses, he was distracting himself by to his assistant about how her schooling was going, the ER said that he cut one of my sons arterial veins which is what was causing the bleeding and is still abnormal weeks later, so we have to go get the procedure done again elsewhere, the dr also took his shoes off during the procedure which I thought was kind of awkward, he advised us not to contact the ambulance because he did not want them at his office to transport our son to the hospital so we drove 20 minutes while he was still bleeding. we were able to get refunded for the procedure but I do not recommend you taking your child here as we are completely devastated by the outcome of our sons circumcision and worry about what his future may be like as he gets older. read more

I visited this office 4 times frequently based on my new born check ups and every time She was seen with the same nurse. Yet every-time she asked the same damn questions and read it from her computer like a robot! Her first question was always was if we were the mom and dad!!! Well who else we would be? You don't remember us from 3 other visits??? Or how is she ? Is she taking any medication? No compassion at all either when asking the same questions! Like I said like a robot! I mean don't they save those questions in the computer? My point is that the doctor and nurses never remembered us! I mean the least they could do to read the chart and make us more comfortable that at least they care! The entire office look so lousy. It is not even designs for kids. And no sick room either. It seems like an office that you go to a third world countries. Perhaps they can make it more Kids friendly rather than cramping tons of seat to make as many as patients to wait and make as much as money possible. Then you go in the room wait for another 2 hours to see a nurse who asks you same questions and waste another hour. Then they bring my poor baby naked, all the way to the front of office right in front of staff and patients to weigh! I mean you guys make enough money maybe put some toward upgrading guys! Also the two doctor we saw were not helpful at all. My daughter had reflux and they didn't diagnose that. It's funny how what ever I would mention for cause of the diagnose she would repeat after me! I had such a horrible experience there today. I took my son in for an ear check and when I walked in the girl (Sara) at the front desk stated that today's visit would be $100. I was so confused since I have never had to pay out of pocket and have very good insurance that covers all of his visits. Sara then explained that I have to pay a deposit of $100 to be seen and THEN they will bill insurance and credit my account. She then went on to say that I would have known that If I would have read the billing agreement during my first visit. I have never heard of having to pay over $100 for a check up even with insurance??? I had a $57 credit on my account already which she never mentioned. I had to leave since they wouldn't see my son without paying $100 and they wouldn't use my insurance?!? I loved Dr. Osborn but unfortunately we won't be using pleasants ever again after this. I cried the entire way home after being greeted that way and after they refused to see him until I payed a deposit. Please make sure you know about their deposit policy before you choose them. I was referred by my OB but she was shocked when I told her what happened and how I was treated. read more

This rating is solely on the office staff and 1 doctor. They have recently opened a new office on 99th and Glendale and I feel they are understaffed. I had to schedule a sick appointment for my newborn and saw a Dr (no longer there as of 5/31/18) and she hurried us out by prescribing colic and acid reflex medicine. The reason for my visit was his ear and possible flu. The next day my son's ear released the puss from his ear infection which she overlooked. I took him back and demanded them to run a flu test and he was positive for type A & B flu and an ear infection. My poor baby was in so much pain. The office manager refunded me my $100 sick appointment charge. Also during my newborn circumcision follow up appointment that Dr V asked for they decided to charge me another $100 sick app charge! They refunded that as well. My most recent visit 5/30/18 was not a great experience. Dr V is amazing however they called me the day before and didn't bother leaving a voicemail and changed my appointment from 8:20 to 9:15 without notifying me. My husband showed up at 8:10 and the lady said the doctor is not in until 8:50 you can wait in the lobby or come back around 9:15. The lady at the front desk was not apologetic at all and said well the notes here said they called!!! This is not the first time that they have messed up my appointment times or had to reschedule my times. I am currently looking for another pediatrician now. read more

We recently moved to the area and needed to find a Dr that was close, as our old Dr is now 1hr away. It was one issue after another with this office. We were there for 2 hrs for a sick appt that turned out to just be an Allergy induced asthmatic episode. When I made the appt, I told the girl that my daughter was sick but that I also wanted to discuss additional concerns. She advised to talk with Dr. Ravi at the appt. When the Dr came in, I got out the first concern and then she interrupted me to discuss the concern at hand. With no opportunity to get my other concerns out, I thought I would mention them after she worked on the first concern. She kept interrupting me. She said that they don't diagnose asthma until there are at least 3 episodes. She said that they wouldn't allergy test as its seasonal. I can understand that. But she didn't go over exactly what it was, just talked about what it wasn't. Then she wanted to do a nebulizer and said then she would come back and we would talk. I explained that I wanted to talk about additional concerns. So far it seems like a normal appt. Then it went down hill. She asked if it was related to the primary complaint or other issues. I stated other. She became very worked up and anxious as if I asked for something crazy. It was very startling to have such an abrupt behavioral change. She said that she didn't have time for that and I needed to make a separate appt. I said ok and that I only asked because I told the girl making the appt of the other concerns and she said to address them with the Dr directly. She again said that she didn't have time for that and she would be back, then rushed out of the room. Moments later, the office manager came in and wanted to talk with me about how my type of insurance worked because we have large out of pocket amounts and how they would need to bill me differently if I wanted extra time with the doctor. I explained to her that I understood how my insurance worked and that it made sense, but that I just wish I wasn't told differently when making the appt and more importantly that the doctor wasn't so rude about it. She then went on to apologize for the doctor and explained that she acts that way sometimes because many patients yell at her and it makes her uncomfortable. I explained that first, she made an assumption about me based on my type of insurance? And then because that makes the Dr anxious that she gets to be rude and then send someone else in to clean up the mess? In addition, I still wasn't fully sure what the problem was with my daughter, I only knew what it wasn't. The office manager apologized and agreed that it was handled incorrectly and asked if they could send someone else in to finish out the appt and go over those other concerns. I okd. Well that person didn't come back. Dr Ravi came in and apologized that I miss understood her (not for being rude). Then she went on anxiously about how she did tell me the problem and starting asking my daughter to confirm that she did say so and then after bringing my daughter into it, asked the nurse to confirm, stating that she was right there. They both looked at her blankly like they didn't know what to say. It was very odd of her to have an over anxious need for affirmation. Then, we hit our next hurdle. She said the nurse would set up to have a nebulizer delivered to our home. Having previous bad experiences with a supply company, I had asked which company they use. She stated that she wasn't sure and she would have the nurse come talk with me about it. I advised that I would like to know that before signing off. So the nurse comes in with nebulizer in hand wanting me to sign off that I received it. I told her what I had told the doctor about wanting to know the company name first. She was very confused and said she wasn't told this. She told me the name so I asked to see the paperwork for the nebulizer. Looking it over, that had incorrect information (despite giving them the correct info). So the claim would have been denied if I hadn't caught it. It took 2 office people to fix it. I asked the girl if she knew the cost. She said it's no charge and I wouldn't pay for it. I explained to her that there is always a charge and just a matter of if insurance or the patient pays for it. Since we have a high deductible, 100% we would pay for it. After some convo of her insisting that nebulizers are free, and me explaining that it depends on your insurance, I declined the device. We are done and sent on our way. Still never seeing the other doctor to discuss my other concerns. The whole experience was just a nightmare. I can't say I feel comfortable trusting Dr Ravi. She has high anxiety and insecurity issues and no conflict resolution skills. Since the appointment, we have received the bill. Dr. Ravi charge for an office visit was four times what our old Dr charged! I paid more after insurance is contractual discount for this visit than what most charge before discounts. read more
