Well the old saying goes if it seems to good to be true then it probably is. The staff was ok and decently friendly. Unfortunately the Doctor on the other hand was a little overbearing. He came on a little strong and I heard 3 times about this stupid $50 fee.. lol but I needed my teeth out and i really couldn't wait. So I went ahead and booked the surgery to take out my teeth. I felt it went ok. Come to find out he had to work for his money and I guess this aggravated him. He upset that he had to give me more medication than the average person. ( I guess I was costing him some profit ). So besides the fact that 2 separate places in my jaw was broken which I can happen. But he didnt tell me. When I went back for check up. He was extremely rude and mentioned that had he know I was from a different city he would of never took me in the first place. I feel this was very unprofessional of him to say a comment like that. And yes the rooms do need a better cleaning as someone else had pointed out in another review. I was extremely disappointed in this doctors professionalism. Thanks for making me feel uncomfortable and unwanted.

Doctor seemed very annoyed because he needed to come help me on a Saturday for all but 10 minutes. Was in excruciating pain due to the dry socket. Then i was getting sent bills stating i owed $0.00...ignored it then i get a call and letter from a collection agency one that will hurt your credit apparently i owed $50.... paid that off, and never want to come here again. Staff is not friendly at all. Office is old and antiquated and the vents are covered in dirt. It sickens me when health providers harass patients over $50 and less and threaten to hurt their credit. I will be spreading the word about this one as well. This is one place you need to watch out for or keep on top of with payments because their communication skills are non-existent.

I booked an appointment four weeks in advance for three cavities. I had to wait one hour before the dentist even acknowledge my existence. I've told the secretary that I have an inversion to Novocain, and that it needs to be put in pier, This did not happen, and when I brought it up to the dentist, when he finally decided to acknowledge my existence said "well what do you want me to do?" I had taken the day off from work which means I lost $300. I immediately called afterwards to try to rectify the situation and immediately I was to blame for not being patient and I have to wait two hours before getting cavities filled. This is not find the first interaction with them where they want to extract money instead of helping, the secretary even hung up on me. They even extracted a year ago a tooth, and I still have shards of it and my gums that are pointing out. When I called them, they had no words of solution and blame it all on me, so I will be taking this to the BBB. Save yourself the time and find someone else.

Their responses; 'the earliest we can see you is Monday 8am'. I repeated myself, 'this is an emergency, it's my front tooth and I cracked it to my gum line and I'm in pain' Which hinged me in a 2hr hunt on a Friday calling dentist call centers to find one that would take me. I was lixky to find another dentist whom took me at 930pm and 1 1/2 hrs away. Front office could use some compassion training and better guidance from owners, possible network with other providers for better coverage after hr rotations. The office isn't often crowded and I've always been seen within five or ten minutes of my appointment time (although there are plenty of magazines to peruse if the wait is longer than expected). It's a very clean, organized facility, but not sterile-looking enough to be scary. I've never dreaded going to the dentist here, and I've also never had a cavity. The schedule is flexible, the staff friendly (they know me by name, still, even though I don't go as often as they or I would like), and the visits are generally quick and efficient. I leave each time with a little goody bag containing a toothbrush, floss, and a pack of Stim-U-Dent plaque removers. The location is convenient; it's right down the street from the Loop shopping center, and there's always plenty of free parking. As far as I know, they accept both Delta Dental and MetLife. I'm not sure what other dental health insurance plans there are out there, but I've never had problems with either of those. All in all, Kalil Dental is a great place and you shouldn't hesitate to entrust them with your teeth's health.
