For minimal fees, they offer: apple picking, train rides, and informational tractor rides that provide information about the farm's establishment. There's also a store on site with all sorts of canned goods and tasty baked apple treats. The ambiance was so lovely- relaxed without crowds of people, plenty of parking and beautiful color-changing leaves to appreciate. We enjoyed our visit to Sunrise River and are looking forward to it being an annual family tradition.

Delivered regularly and they even worked with us to order 8 dozen (the one thing I am willing to prep a d freeze or can for the year...that is, whatever is left over after grilling at least a dozen to eat right away!) They have a self serve set up. You park by the little store, go in, grab a bag and shop for what you want. Write down what you are buying and put the paper into the basket- and the money in the cash box. (Cash only operation) They usually have change of you need it in there). They do have cameras but hey, they are trusting us to be honest and if you ask me, they deserve every cent and then some for all the work they do! In the…read morepast, the Farmers Market was held at Gammelgarden Museum (across the street from the Scandia Community Center). However, due to COVID-19, it is now at the Community Center to ensure that there's enough physical distance between vendors and customers. We were welcomed by Gammelgarden Museum's intern who showed us where to wash our hands before entering the market. There were clear in and out directions to ensure an easy flow of customers. Customers and vendors all are required to wear masks, making this a safe and healthy place for people (especially those who have underlying health conditions and/or are seniors) to shop for produce, baked goods, meat, wild rice, plants, and crafts. There were a variety of vendors on Opening Day, and it was so much fun to visit each one and see what was being offered. Despite not having music or entertainment, or food to eat on site (because of the CDC guidelines), it was still a festive and welcoming place to be, and a fun way to see neighbors and friends. We are looking forward to going back to the Farmers Market again next week!

Yesterday we picked up a freezer pack. I told the woman at the counter I had calked and ordered the pack on Wednesday. She was pretty rude questioning whether or not I had indeed ordered this since she had nit taken the order. Eventually things were straightened out and another worker brought our box of meat out. A little help carrying it to the car would have been nice. My wife and I are in ok shape in our late 60's and could do it but an offer to help would gave been appreciated. Meat was good though.
