My college girl self loves this place as much as my mom self does...my kids also love it. We love the vibe and the setting as it is a spot where you get a slice and dine outside or are getting ready to head to the beach. We were lucky enough to have a sunny day and enjoy our slices on the patio while mom and dad reminisced about UCSC life. Staff are great while managing all experiences of guests and the ranch is herby and so good- and if you follow me, you know I've already established my #1 pizza joint. While they don't top my Toppers, I'd still make a special trip for it just because my kids think it's the best. And I love that. Doughy and delicious. The Hawaiian and specials are worth looking at. I was crystal clear about what I wanted on my pizza when I ordered it. I even went into the restaurant to order face to face , rather than ordering over the phone, because they screwed it up before. I didn't want any mistakes. They got it completely wrong, again! The dude who took my order didn't communicate properly to the cook. I watched him hand my ticket to the cook, and kind of mumble to the cook what I wanted. I knew he wasn't clear, so I spoke up and reiterated my order once again. They still got it wrong. I couldn't have been more clear, but their attitudes and professionalism sucked. Not only did they get the toppings wrong, but the pizza was soggy and wet. The toppings fell right off. We walked in thinking it would be a good get-and-go pizza place. We sat down and ate our pizza but then when we looked back at the kitchen behind the register we saw a rat sitting on the pizza boxes. A dead rat. We thought it was a fake rat or something but when we asked, it confirmed to be a dead rat. Who knows how many more there are? Hopefully we don't get a terrible rat sickness...? This was, for many years, the best pizza in town. Sadly, not anymore. I had 3 bad experiences so I can say I gave them a chance but there's no quality to their pizza anymore. The first time I ordered the pesto shrimp pizza. I picked it up took it home and had a cheese pizza with 4 shrimp thrown on top. Next we got a pepperoni pizza where the dough was much too thick and horribly underbaked. It was actually inedible. Today I stopped by for a slice of pizza There were 2 employees who ignored me for a while. I was the only customer. I got a slice of cheese pizza. The slice had no sauce on it. Just bread and cheese. The waft of pizza was intoxicating, and you can sit outside with your slice of 'zza under the sun and a few blocks from the beach! What can be better than that?!! There are many cute boutique-y shops nearby, so there is plenty to do before or afterwards. Parking can be a little tough sometimes because it's mostly street parking, but I've always found a spot within 10 mins so it's doable! The only "ding" is they didn't heat up the slice very much, so it was only warm in some bites. We were starving so we didn't ask them to heat it more, but next time we will because the pizza was delish. We just know it'd be even better tasting if they were hot. read more

The server heats up your pizza, and calls out the order when it's ready. There is open seating in this very surfy-like restaurant, so we took and seat and enjoyed our slices. I got the Santa Barbara pizza, as per recommendation from the server. I loved how crisp the crust was, and how plentiful they were with toppings. I wish they had more pizza options available! Each size is gigantic so I was full after one slice. There are various options- we got the 1. Pesto pizza- it had an abundant amount of basil pesto (this one was my favorite) 2. Juliet'a garden- pesto, feta, red onions and red and green peppers 3. Santa Barbara- Mozzarella, Parmesan & pepper jack cheese,spinach, artichoke hearts, and green onions. Stumbled upon pleasure pizza one afternoon with my family. So glad I did. Pizza was delicious, they create pizzas with a variety of toppings, and there's a pizza for everyone. I had their meat lovers pizza (that's what I'm calling it), my wife had an awesome artichoke, spinach and pepper jack pizza. And my 6 year old daughter crushed one of their HUGE cheese slices, and she never finishes her food. She loved it! Everything was delicious. The restaurant is a bit of a throwback, but it screamed pizzeria - and as a born and raised New Yorker, I've seen my share of pizzerias. It was a quiet Monday afternoon, but I can see it being very lively in the spacious, open dining room. I got some heavy owner vibes from the gentleman running the place. He was friendly and accommodating, and by the taste of the food, I feel like everything is scratch made, including the delicious ranch dressing which we dipped everything in. (I'm in my late 30s and went away to college so I've had my share of pizzas) I picked the Santa Barbara pizza that was on display: spinach, artichoke, mushrooms. They put my slice to reheat in the oven. Taste... The crust was delish! You know that's the indicator of the dough is good. The blend of flavors, white cheese, sauce, with EVERY bite was heavenly. Even tasted the delicious flavors in the back of my throat! I tried to contact the owner. I did. Numerous attempts. Ive never been treated in such a way that I was here. My experience happened May 15, of this year. I felt compelled to message the owner is because myself and my bf deeply love patronizing the business. We often ride our bikes to the location and get a slice before riding the cliffs. The pizza is great. My upset is not due to that part but more so the refusal of being allowed to get one because of a sexist woman working there. It had been the most uncomfortable situation that had recently happened to me. I unfortunately did not have a mask to enter the business. I lifted my shirt and asked if I was okay to enter. The girl said No very firmly to me, and told me that they sell masks next door at the liquor store. Than my boyfriend walked in with his shirt on over his face also. She said he would be okay to enter. What? I am puzzled by the reason why she would allow him yet not me. As we were both wearing our shirts as masks... yet she told me No, and said he was okay. I felt the sexiest gesture was not a right representation of the business. After we went to the liqour store next door, I felt compelled to later ask her for her name. So that I could maybe let you know of the situation and how upsetting it was to feel literally discriminated against by this particular person because of what seemed to be my gender. I also asked her why I wasnt allowed and why he was... she couldnt answer. Anyhow, I am sorry to bring this to your attention over Yelp. Yet I gave months of trying to contact the business owner and I feel it was necessary to publicly say something on behalf of my experience of Pleasure Point Pizza, that I felt was wrong and I definitely thought it was worth mentioning... as I wanted a slice of pizza... I wanted to support the local business I love during this time, yet I was denied service due to some sort of sexism.
