I came here on a Saturday afternoon after hearing great things about their sandwiches! There is indoor and outdoor seating, and the space honors a beachy cafe vibe. When I came, the line was put the door, but it went by relatively fine. I waited about 15 minutes until I ordered. I was given a pager and waited about 30 more minutes until I got my sandwich! I got the Smoke Show with tomato. It was super delicious! Meat was tender, yet not too overpowering. I love the stracciatella and the toasted bread added such a nice bite. It was the perfect size, lighter, very tasty lunch! I would come back to try their other items!

Seabright Deli is a pretty good spot to stop by for lunch. They have a variety of sandwiches to choose from and I enjoyed mine! I ordered The Grotto which includes Blackend Snapper with tarragon-basil aioli. The sandwich was delicious and very filling, the flavors were certainly delightful. We sat at the outdoor patio in the back and enjoyed our time eating here!

Holy cow, Batman!! How did we get so lucky that one of the best sandwich shops in the world is in Santa Cruz county? We got the Grotto (fresh, blackened snapper, chimichurri tomatoes, jalapeno-lime slaw, tarragon-basil aioli, arugula, francese roll) and the Sailor (New York style pastrami, Vermont white cheddar cheese, pickled onions, arugula, coriander-mustard aioli, francese roll). How are we supposed to try different sandwiches when these are so good you'd want to order them again and again? They had plenty of craft beers and canned wine. I tried a mimosa one and decided that Somerbella was the best canned wine I've ever had. I wanted to try every flavor so I bought all 6 ($7 a pop.) The owner saw me carrying all the cans in my arms and asked if she could send a pic to the supplier. I said sure! :) They also made the most perfect banana cream pudding for dessert. And sold Jeni's ice cream. I seriously can't wait to go back.

Though the line was long, it moved at a decent pace. Parking can be very limited and tight, but we managed to get a spot in the back parking lot. Menu options: 1) They have physical menus that give descriptions of what is inside the sandwiches 2) They have visuals above the service counter Decor - they have nicer, artistic and more appetizing looking photos on the wall My husband and I managed to get a table on their back patio - they have a decent amount of seating space. Sandwiches were pretty good! My husband and swapped half of each other's sandwiches so we could try 2 different ones. I really enjoyed the Neptune (turkey) - lots of flavor. The Grotto was nice (red snapper fish), but I wish it was seasoned more. Overall, we would definitely come back to Seabright Deli! Each sandwich is roughly $20, but they're the size of 2 meals.

Had a chance to try the viral Seabright deli, and Im really glad we got to check it out today. The line is long but thankfully moves quickly which is awesome. There are tables inside and outside although not too many. For our sandwiches we tried the Yacht Club - this was yummy and flavorful but our favorite was the Castle Cove. The brisket was top notch and flavorful and I loved the sauce that was in it. We had it with a side of sea salt and vinegar chips. The combo was fantastic! Overall fun experience!

We got there 5 min before opening and sure enough there was a line outside and I get it fr. Service was quick and our food was sooo yummy! The Mermaid - truly my fave, still thinkin about her mmm. The Surfer - I mean wow, also another banger. The Trailblazer - this was also good but kinda wish we tried the Castle Beach instead for the sauciness. Banana pudding - absolute must cop. We sat in the back patio which had plenty of seating and was pretty chill.

I think this is my new favorite sandwich shop in Santa Cruz. The lines are long due to popularity and going viral online but the workers have a system in place to move you as quickly as possible. We shared the Cubano, the Cove, and Mac salad. They were messy, but so worth it! Every bite had a flavor of everything listed on their sandwich. It was salty, had acid, fat, and a Smokey heat. I have no notes! Can't wait to return.

They house-smoke the brisket, and it's great. They turn off online ordering when it's busy, which is most of the time. The sandos generally have too much sauce, but you can scrape off what you don't want. 5/5: Banana pudding: exceptional. best combo of banana and nilla wafer. 5/5: Smoke show sando: excellent smoked brisket. 4/5: Mac salad: interesting flavor. 3/5: Yacht club sando: Not as good as an average club sandwich.

Delicious sandwiches and such a great menu! It was super busy when we came in for lunch, but I can totally see why. Despite the long line we got our food pretty quickly too. I ordered the Mermaid sandwich and I have no notes. I loved the bread, the meat didn't have any funny aftertaste, and the spreads were super flavorful! Additionally, the vegetables were fresh and well seasoned, and complemented the sandwich well. The sandwich was messy in the best way. There is a decent size menu so anyone looking for a really good sandwich will find what they are looking for here. I can see myself coming back for a good lunch and brining my family along too! And would highly recommend anyone come here. There is a good amount of outdoor seating and it's super close to the beach. Families could make a fun day stop by coming here on their way to, or as a break from, the beach.

Super long line on Sunday afternoon

Swing and a miss. Don't come on a weekend if you can avoid it! The line was at least 40 minutes long. We saw people in line at 10:45 (15 minutes before it opened) and thought it'd clear out by the time we came by which was 1:20 pm. No the line was 2-3 times longer. The restaurant was sweltering inside and there wasn't much shade to wait in the heat outside so we abandoned our mission. They had also sold out of their banana pudding. And they said they turn off their DoorDash when it's that busy. So unless you want to wait in a huge line, try on a weekday. We will try again on a weekday next time!

Yes yes yes 100 times yes I highly recommend getting a sandwich at this place and taking it to the beach for a perfect lunch. I got the trailblazer and thought this is the best dang sandwich I have ever had in my life! The brisket was amazing. There is some indoor seating but there's nothing like a sandwich at the beach. Walking up the place was packed so I knew this was going to be good.

This place has some of the best sandwiches I've ever had! The bread is mouthwateringly soft. The lines can be long, but the wait goes by quickly. They are very well organized and are able to get people in and out. The ambiance feels like you're on your way down to a beach. They have indoor and shaded outdoor seating which is great. The parking is a bit rough, but you can usually find some down the street for a short walk. Overall would absolutely recommend trying this place if you're in town. We loved it so much we had to come back a second time.

We stopped in and tried the Neptun and the Black & Blue sandwiches, and both were outstanding. The flavors blended together perfectly--the crisp bread, delicious sauces, pesto, bits of onion, and perfectly prepared meat all came together in a way that practically melted in your mouth. Ordering was easy, and although it's a small venue, it's definitely worth the stop. The menu leans heavily toward chicken sandwiches, but there are also several turkey, roast beef, and pastrami options. While I didn't notice any sandwiches with avocado, everything we tried was flavorful and satisfying. The staff was courteous and welcoming, there is both indoor and outdoor seating available, and a small parking area in the back. The wait wasn't long at all, and the quality of the food made it well worth it. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

Good Giant Dipper sandwich. Good value. For the sandwich, I think it has too much mayonnaise, but otherwise, I would order it again.

Just hop in line, grab a ticket, wait to be called to order, then head to the next register to pay! The place has that classic, old-school sandwich deli feel, warm and inviting. There's also outdoor seating, which is perfect if you want to catch some sun and enjoy your food. We originally found this spot on Yelp (and saw it all over TikTok), so expectations were definitely high and it didn't disappoint. My wife and I were on the hunt for the perfect beach sandwich, and this was exactly that. I went with the chicken parmesan sandwich... and wow. The cheese pull alone was worth it!! We took our food to the beach, paired it with a cold adult beverage and some BBQ kettle chips, and it absolutely hit the spot. Definitely a place worth checking out if you're in Santa Cruz and craving a solid sandwich.

On…read moreour first visit, we ordered two kids' grilled cheeses, and they were made with two full slices of bread. The very next day, we ordered the exact same thing, and they came on what looked like half a slice of bread. There was absolutely no consistency in the portion size. To make matters worse, we were charged $16 for two kids' grilled cheeses on the second visit, yet the day before we paid only $10 for what appeared to be a larger portion. Paying more for less made no sense. What was most disappointing, though, was the customer service. The employees were incredibly rude and acted as if we were an inconvenience instead of paying customers. Rather than answering our questions or addressing our concerns professionally, they were dismissive and made us feel unwelcome. We gave this place a second chance, hoping our first experience was just an off day, but it ended up being even worse. Between the inconsistent portions, confusing pricing, and poor customer service, we won't be returning and can't recommend this place to others.

The Surfin' Pig has ham, avocado, bacon & cream cheese, with provolone cheese added when ordered as a hot sandwich.
