Couldn't wait for this FRESH HELL to be over! It took the so-called "check cashers" an hour to decide... NOT to cash my check! The employee insisted they needed to speak with my Mother, the person who wrote the check, for reasons they couldn't explain. She didn't pick up her phone. So, I suggested he called the bank directly. He did, and spent quite a while on the phone... but never actually spoke with anyone. Then, he asked his manager, and told me they refused to cash my check. I asked him why, several times, but he just shrugged his shoulders. Was it because it wasn't from a major bank chain? It is from Camden national Bank in Maine. I didn't even know it was legal for a check cashing store to refuse to cash a national bank check! I only had one other check to cash. But, to make matters worse, they wanted $34 to cash it! My jaw dropped, as I asked why, and he said they charge 5%. At this point, he'd wasted about an hour of my time... when he could have opened with this information and saved us both the trouble: we only cash checks from major bank chains and we charge 5%. 0 I want to leave a big FAT ZERO (0) I try to always be honest on my reviews so here we go, Jared should NOT be working in customer service first of all he is obnoxiously rude, mean, miserable and just plain nasty. I really don't think he likes his job he does NOT follow protocol he argues with customers and just don't know when enough is enough. I am leaving this review bc I was not the customer he was helping I just happen to be in PLS at the time and witnessed his behavior. I was greeted by Kamisha when I walked through the door and it was clear she had excellent customer service skills. I was then attended by Corey at the window, and he not only cashed my check with perfect professionalism, we had a great conversation while i was there. Kamisha stayed attentive to not only her window, but several at once. It was obvious she was a shift supervisor. I enjoyed my time there thanks to those two employees. To whom it may concern, I visited the 781 Tremont location in Boston, Massachusetts. I was greeted by a young woman and a "Manager" named Omar. They were having issues with a reconciliation process. At first they were very nice and communicative on the matter. The young woman asked myself and another customer to return in 10 Minutes for a successful service. I made sure to ask the PLS team if I'm able to cash a money order purchased from PLS and how much would it cost. The woman stated " we do cash Money orders and it doesn't cost anything to Cash it. I was please so I waited in my car 15 Minutes. It now 11:30pm. I entered the location and waited in line. Omar called me for assistance. i provided my Driver Licence and money order. He had me sign it and add my phone number. He return and charges me $42.00. i was surprised because 20 minutes before i was told that there was no charge. I explained this to Omar and He became super defensive and combative. I kept quiet and listened to his feedback. I took in all that he had to say. Once he was finish I provided my feedback due to the waste of time and inconvenience. Omar was not having it. He was triggered. He became even more defensive and Combative. He shoved my Id and money order back to me and suggested i deposit it into my bank account. I was very upset on how he managed the situation. I felt attacked and quite frankly disregarded. I provided the ID and Money order back and asked to have it processed at the $42.00 fee. I also requested his name and a transaction reference number so I can provide feedback. He went on to ask me if I wanted it cashed. I continued to hand him my ID and Money Order. He would not cash it unless I verbally answered his question. i gave him a head nod, said yes, and even stood back and gave him time to relax. This only made him more upset. he walked away and refused to offer the PLS service to me. I'm not here looking for a handout, I'm not here looking to get things done free. I'm here to provide feedback and hopefully initiate a training moment for Omar. he's behavior was unethical and unnecessary. He cause a small issue to become something much bigger.I would like a higher manager to address the issue and offer some feedback. This is the first time I've ever had an issue with PLS. I just visited Boston check cashers pls on the corner of mass Ave and Columbia Road and the service there with extremely horrible I have on video the associate Angela was completely unprofessional she instantly gave me a attitude as soon as I came into the store and and she continually call me out my name she called me a b**** said my mother sucks dick and called me a f***** all on video I told her I will be posted this on Facebook and I will be writing a Yelp review on her horrible service this is not right and clearly I hope some actions will be taking against this employee read more

Only because I have to give a star to give the review. I went to the one on American Legion this morning because they supposedly open at 7am . Well here I am , at 7:15 standing outside with others , waiting to get in . Oh and this is the second time this has happened . When you have a job you take on the responsibilities of that job ! If a store says open at 7am it should be open right ? Well that goes for you guys as well , especially . Then the people who work there show no regards to the costumers that are waiting in line . I got this location from cardpool.com, they buy and sell gift cards. I searched for a location and from the card pool site this location came up. I drove here and I didn't like how everything went from there. The two girls working behind the windows were way more concerned with what they were doing on their phones than the only customer in the entire place. And once I did have her attention I said I'd like to get an offer for a gift card, she cashed it out instantly and gave me 100 dollars for a 200 dollar gift card. And it was a very desirable card, I looked up offers online before that were 70 dollars more than what they paid. I think she cashed it out without asking because she took a piece of it and pocketed 60 bucks but how can you get thru bullet proof glass and argue with two black girls running this place? I'm sorry I even tried here, and disappointed cardpool.com recommended going here. Never ever again for any reason would I step foot in that place. Go out of business please read more
