This clinic is a stand-alone multispecialty facility offering a wide range of services, including primary care, chiropractic care, optometry (vision care), dentistry, oncology, podiatry (foot care), and treatment for traumatic brain injuries (TBI), among others. Compared to my previous clinic, this facility is much more advanced, as many veterans have noted. It's modernized, and I didn't notice many veterans waiting to be seen, which hopefully reflects a reduction in the backlog we know has affected the VA for some time. If you're new to this clinic or the VA system in general, there's an area in the center of the building for registration when you enter. It's also a good idea to create an account through the VA website or mobile app, available for both Apple and Android devices. The VA's mobile app is quite useful, providing a wealth of information on your service, benefits, letters, and, most importantly, details about your appointments and prescriptions. One thing the VA could improve on is giving clearer directions for appointments, as it can be overwhelming for someone new to the system. That said, the staff here have been helpful and informative overall, with plenty of people available to guide you through the process. While some employees may have the attitude issues that others have mentioned, I generally don't let it affect my experience unless it impacts my care. Speaking of care, my experience was a bit mixed. The nurse who took my vitals left the exam room door open, which didn't bother me at first, but I found it odd that the door remained open even after she left. Thankfully, another nurse noticed and kindly closed the door, which I appreciated. After a serious parachute accident and several surgeries, I spent almost 3 months at Stonebridge…read morerecuperating - most of that time confined to a bed with a "no weight-bearing activty" order from my Orthopedic surgeon. I found the facility clean and apparently we'll managed as the staff seemed cheerful and happy to work there - indeed some staff have worked there 10-20 years. A happy staff is a sign of good management. As my injuries healed, the Physical & Occupational Therapy (PT & OT) staff was extremely caring and helpful. Steve, Jim, and Gabriela, along with their staff assistants, helped me get ready to restore my walking ability when the Orthopedic restriction ended. I then progressed rapidly until I was ready to transfer to an in-patient rehab specialty facility to focus on restorative PT. The food was pretty good (for institutional food service) and the Social Services director (Samantha K.) was excellent at navigating all the insurance obstacles that seemed to appear every few weeks. In summary, I was very happy to do the majority of my accident recuperation at Stonebridge, and highly recommend it to others.

From the moment I walked in, the entire team was incredibly professional, compassionate, and efficient. Medical procedures like these can understandably cause some anxiety, but the nurses and doctors went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, clearly explaining every step of the process. The procedures themselves were seamless and completely painless, and the post-op care was fantastic. It is clear that this team truly cares about veterans and provides top-tier medical care. Thank you to the outstanding GI staff at the Austin VA! Now as we all know as veterans VA Health Care is by far not perfect, but through the years since I have been utilizing the VA Health Care system for all my health care needs for service connection, I have seen an improvement. I have run into a few rude staff members and the ones I have reported, I have seen the VA take accountability more serious then previous years. At this location people are friendly, helpful, providing clear concise communication and the wait times are by far minimum. I will definitely recommend this clinic to my fellow veterans.

They don't balance bill after your insurance pays them (plus whatever your portion is, under insurance). I did their detox program. While I didn't like not being able to interact with anybody other than staff (I mean, it's a hospital setting, so...), they have Roku Tvs with Netflix in the rooms, and you can sign into any of your own services. Jason and Tina in particular are amazing, but I had no negative experiences with anyone working there. I will say, if you're there long enough for a meal, it's going to be a frozen dinner that they throw in a microwave. The upside is you have an exact calorie and carb count, if that matters (I'm on insulin, I have to dose based on carb intake - they let me self administer since I'm on an insulin pump). At one point they apparently would order from restaurants, but that probably cut into the CEOs hush fund too much (joking) Thr care is great. The food is terrible (I mean... It's a frozen dinner). The bill will max out your deductible (and likely your out of pocket even on a HDHP). But they truly do care, and they've stayed in touch to see how I'm doing. We have visited the Bastrop location twice in the last couple months. The experience was better…read morethan any I've had at hospital ERs. We first went to a Hospital ER but the wait was unknown, nobody ewas even in the lobby to answer questions, there wasn't even a window to wait at (really Strange, and we used to go there every time). I checked the wait online for Ally. It was less than 15mins so we drove there and there was no wait when we arrived. Checked in online during the drive. Filled out a couple forms as we sat in the lobby for a few mins and were called in almost before we could finish them. The staff was very friendly and efficient both visits. The first visit was for my son with an injured finger. He was brought to a room, provided pain mangament and xrays quickly. Broken finger diagnosis was provided, we got a cd with the Xrasy on it, splint and supplies to adjust it. Out the door very satisified with the service. Our second visit was my wife having abdominal pain. Again, immediate entry, barely time to fill out the forms and we were in a room. They provided pain meds and a CT within 30mins or less. We ended up transferred to the Hospital and they arranged everything. It was seamless and the staff was great in helping her. The rooms were clean and nice. I highly recommend Ally. They bill insurance, and do not charge for anything insurance doesn't cover which is amazing! Will be going there again if the need arises.

After a week of just waiting and still nothing so I emailed her back requesting all services to be canceled...she did reply with an excuse that her brother passed and she would refund my co pay is i still wanted to cancel all services....fast forward to the day of my next apt n her portable shows that my apt was a late cancel/no show which is insulting since I have emails requesting that to be canceled with a 7 day notice....if ur looking for good care look elsewhere.
