After the first visit, I was placed on some expensive supplements and went to do some bloodwork. Second appt I receive a diagnosis of long covid and put on keto. A month in I began to get intense abdominal pain. I've had diverticulitis once in my life and I was sure this was what it was. Dr. Ennnen convinced me to wait out treatment because I wanted to avoid antibiotics and I agreed. This was on a Monday. I came in 3 times this week for treatment. By Friday the pain was so bad I could barely walk and went to the er. I had a 3 mm abscess on my sigmoid colon. In hindsight, With the amount of pain I was in, I feel Dr. Ennen should have urged me to go to the er but I trusted him. I ended up in the hospital with a picc line of antibiotics. I do not believe my diagnosis is Dr. Ennen's fault but I will say me trusting that I could wait is what increased the severity of my issue. Dr. Ennen helped me get my inflammation down by prescribing a paleo autoimmune diet since I now needed surgery. I keep seeing him through my surgery in May 2024. I'm diagnosed with various things by him and purchase more supplements. My appointments are all over the place with a bombardment of information which none of which was very helpful. He did call to check on me while I was in the hospital and immediately following my surgery. After my surgery I see him for about a month once I was healed and needing more treatment and supplements. Then a rental for a laser. I did not see any significant changes in my healing. After spending thousands of dollars I gave up on this type of treatment. I believe following this treatment plan definitely an inarguably made my condition worse. Once I stop going to appointments, there was no follow up no calls no concern. Appts take 60-90 min. I genuinely do not know how I could be diagnosed with various issues with the type of licenses that he holds. I also did not lose weight. So why such a review after years have passed? I am now at a healthy weight and I'm healed from my abdominal issues going a different route. I do believe Dr. Ennen cares for his patients, but also believe that my case was past his level of experience and expertise, and probably should've been humble enough to say that he could not treat me. I had some sort of hope he could help me and wanted to trust the process since he did help my friend in her condition. Maybe I was just a single case.

A few months ago, my friend gifted me a 90 minute Abhyanga Massage ($145 value) and it took me nearly 4 months to finally make my way here. I called to make my reservation with Tina. She was very professional and informative. I provided the gift certificate # and Tina was able to help me apply the gift certificate seamlessly. Since it was my first time experiencing this type of service/massage, Tina also gave me a friendly reminder that this service uses a lot of healing oils for the massage, so it is recommended that I wore clothes that I wouldn't mind oil residue on. Also I was emailed a reservation confirmation with the need to know information for the service. For anyone not familiar with an Abhyanga Massage, this is a full body massage with a generous amount of warm herbal oils that are abundant in antioxidants and adaptogens. This is meant to promote relaxation and rejuvenation. On the day of my service I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out my first time customer forms. Tina was there that day and she offered me water or hot tea. She asked if I needed to use the restroom before my service. Just FYI - the restrooms are disconnected from their suite. For my Abhyanga Massage, I was with Tanaz. She welcomed me back to the room and we had a quick chat about what pressure I would like, if there were any areas I would like extra work on, if there were any areas to avoid, disclosure about the use of oils, and all the usual. I really appreciated her guidance through the whole experience, and most importantly the massage was spectacular. We started off face up and we ended face down. I noticed some use of essential oils on the face to start to set the mood. They use SO MUCH oil here, in a good way. It really helps with the massage strokes and even when the warm oil gets poured onto each body part, it felt extremely relaxing. Tanaz is amazing!! What a treat to experience the Abhyanga Massage! I hear they recently added a 4 hands massage, where you have 2 massage therapists working on you simultaneously! I have never done that before and I would highly consider coming back.

April 23rd 2016 was a really bad day for me. I was having breakfast when a sudden hot sensation from my lower left jaw to the top of my left temple flashed thru my face. My left cheek on the inside and outside went completely numb. I lost all sensation. It felt like a dentist's Novocain shot just before drilling. I didn't take it seriously. As the day continued the entire left side of my face went from numb to paralyzed. Next day (Sunday) I went to urgent care. The conclusion of my visit from the doctor, Bell's Palsy. I was given some white pills and green viral pills. I was told there was nothing else they could do. 75% of people recover over the span of 3 to 6 months, if at all. It dawned on me after looking at my face in the mirror, how messed up I really was. I have seen people with their faces paralyzed on one side or another and recalled how bad that looked. What is just as bad are the facial limitations. Tuesday morning I visited my family doctor. His assessment was the same. Nothing we can do except give you the prescribed pills once and pray you get your sensations back. Not good! That same day later, speaking to 2 close friends, both of them recalled having known someone who had suffered Bell's Palsy and had recovered thru acupuncture. Not one doctor I saw recommended acupuncture at all. By Thursday the left side paralysis of my face was noticeably worse. The left side of my face had dropped about an inch versus the right side and my left eyelid would not shut at all. I could not blink at all. Fear set in and that is one heck of a motivator. I was very fortunate. Dr. Lee was not far from where I worked. I had no appointment but went anyway. Dr. Lee immediately fit me in between his appointments and began the acupuncture treatment. He was straightforward and candid about the treatment. By this time I was 5 days in with Bell's Palsy. Muscle atrophy had started to set in which is why my face was becoming more and more contorted. I can say much more but that isn't really necessary. April 28th was my first treatment. By May 20th 2016 my face was almost completely back to normal. I have a complete smile, I can eat and chew with no difficulty, I can speak and sound normal, I can wink with both eyes, make facial expressions without looking weird and last but not least, I can whistle again. Simple actions taken for granted until one is no longer able to do them. Dr. Lee recommended an aggressive treatment calling for 4 treatments per week for the first few weeks. He was very candid on what could happen and not happen. He also never doubted that acupuncture could improve my situation as well as my quality of life. Only one dreaded thought about the acupuncture lingered on my mind. Having it done on my face. I heard it could be very painful. Not thrilled about it, but was willing to suffer thru it. Anything to undo the physical symptoms of Bell's Palsy. I told Dr. Lee "Doc, do what you have to do, I'm cool with it". Dr. Lee never acupunctured my face. Not even once. Based on past experience he believes there is no need to treat the face with acupuncture for this condition. He has performed both and the results were comparably the same. True to his word, the results were even better than I had ever expected. I would recommend Dr. Lee to anyone who has ever experienced Bell's Palsy. I was lucky having it done so soon after the incident. Acupuncture works and works best with an experienced and caring specialist. You may not need the treatment but may know someone who has to live with the paralysis of Bell's Palsy. Loosing your facial functions is demoralizing, and challenging to live with. read more

As I was referred through my boss, at first I was very skeptical to invest the time specially with my tinnitus and what I've gone through. Upon meeting dr Lee I felt very comfortable, truly made me feel as I was a family member. Dr Lee was clear, as in we are gonna try to treat this and nothing is guaranteed. I've tried so many options before acupuncture from being treating at the House clinic, to physical therapy, as well as strict diets. I was so frustrated till I stepped my foot into dr Lee's office. After suffering from chronic sinus infections for years, Dr Lee put me on a specific program to boost my immune system. It consisted of regular acupuncture sessions as well as special Chinese herbs blended just for me. I am now enjoying 14 months straight without a sinus infection! I went to Dr. Lee for a bum shoulder that had been causing me pain for months. It got to the point where I couldn't put a shirt on or make other basic movements without feeling a sharp pain. Dr. Lee was great. He spent a long time with me discussing the problem and he was very up front from the beginning about the benefits and limitations of acupuncture as a treatment. Dr Lee shares his business with Dr Ta. Both are very personable. They use a technique that doesn't address the problem directly, but holistically. I completed 6 months of cancer treatment (chemo and radiation) and my body is a mess from all the poisons. He studied at the prestigious Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, and his expertise really shows. What makes him stand out is that he also practices Tui Na (Chinese medical massage), which is rare among acupuncturists. His holistic approach treats the root cause, not just the symptoms. I brought my 87-year-old mother, who had suffered from allergies for over 30 years. She had tried many Western medications that worked only briefly and caused side effects. (Long post warning) I've been seeing Dr. Hung since July 2019. I came to prepare myself for…read morepregnancy. I was so happy and excited at first when I got pregnant in November 2019 thinking Dr. Hung's herbs and advice really helped. However, I had a miscarriage in December 2019, after enjoying the good news of being a mom for just a little more than a week or so. I was devastated, thinking I must have done something wrong. Did I not sleep enough? Was I too anxious? Is it because my body wasn't ready? Or maybe it was the two sips of coffee that I accidentally drank. Dr. Hung tried to help save my baby with his herbs but it didn't work, which this was no one to blame for sure. I thought, maybe this just wasn't meant to be. Dr Hung had given me treatment with herbs to help my body recover from the lost, which restored my energy and body quickly. Shortly after there comes the pandemic. While I am still taking the herbs to prepare for my next pregnancy, we continued meeting through telehealth. During those 2 months of treatment online, my body had gotten worse. My heart beat has become much faster and I will easily faint. Dr Hung said it was probably due to stress and my body not having enough blood, so he adjusted the herbs. I also decided to visit him in person again as I thought maybe his treatment decisions would be more accurate if he can feel my pulse. A few months after, we've been trying to conceive but still have not succeed. I even took my husband with me to see Dr. Hung to get prepared. In October, Dr Hung told us we can stop taking the herbs and try to conceive (Officially). That's when I realized my heart rate has drastically increased even while resting. I would faint very easily and I have lost a lot of weight. I texted Dr Hung about my situation and he told me to go back to him if I don't get pregnant. With a rising concern of my health, I decided to consult my family doctor regarding my situation. After the blood test, I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, which I have no idea I had it prior to this check up. I was disappointed because Dr. Hung wasn't able to detect such issues until I did my blood test. But I still had a little faith in him as he rest assured that Chinese medicine can help with my condition. Constantly reminding me of his credentials and 30 years of experience, he said he can use Chinese herbs to help me and it would be better than taking western meds due to the known and unknown side effects that may even affect my next pregnancy. I asked him if taking the Chinese herbs would affect my thyroid going from hyper to hypo like what the western medicine do, and Dr. Hung said it will not because Chinese herbs will balance the values, unlike western medicine. One month into taking the Chinese herbs, my condition has improved but it also went into the other end of extreme. I became super tired all the time, and also gaining weight. My face would look super puff. I consulted Dr Hung and he said not to worry because the weather is changing and it is getting colder. It is normal to feel sleepy, tired, and feel swollen a little bit. A week later that appointment I took another blood test, before my appointment to the specialist. It was found that not only that I no longer have hyperthyroidism, but I went to the next extreme of being hypothyroidism. The TSH value was extremely high. I was so upset and disappointed with the result. After speaking to Dr. Hung, his explanation was "this proves my meds are super effective!". He explained how different people may have a different reaction to the medications, but in general his meds are effective. He reminded me again his credentials and experience with both Chinese and western medicine. But he refused to acknowledge his misjudgment on my situation, and his incompetence in listening to my concerns with my body even I've told him how I felt. He also went back and refuted what he said about the herbs wouldn't cause such situation by reasoning with how each body reacts differently. He also refused to let me know what are the ingredients in his medication which my specialist would love to know what's in my body and to make the right judgment for my treatment, saying this raises copyright issue. While I truly believe Chinese medicines has its own benefits and I am still a true believer in it, I would like to summarize by saying there are things Chinese medicine can't substitute. A good solid blood test is one for sure, which I think Dr hung would agree himself too. But on top of that, while Chinese herbs can definitely help in many ways, it can also masks the symptoms of what truly lies beneath your body. Do be aware that you won't get to know what you're actually eating and putting inside your body unless Dr Hung would graciously let you know the ingredients. I hope people who are reading this will be aware of the risks and make the right decisions for themselves, especially for people who have similar situation as me.

She inserted some needles, and she moved the needle position inside my skin! Again, I took acupuncture treatment and lot, but none of the acupuncture therapists moved the needle position after insert. After this experience, I went other acupuncture services and this therapist was the only one who did this. It's dangerous to take her treatment.

I've had treatment done in the past and it was through Kaiser NoCal so when I came here to my surprise my plan also helped cover some sessions here. However, if you do not health insurance does cover these kinds of specialty services, Dr. Won can let you know of the per session cost. I don't think it was anything outrageous though. He was also able to check if I was eligible to be covered pretty quick (in a few minutes or less at the beginning of our first session - and I was eternally grateful). He not only provided traditional acupuncture and cupping (not fire cupping FYI, it was suction based) for me that I was used to, but also added in some new therapies like electrostimulation, ultrasound, and red light therapy. Also added bonus since I came in with a tight back and shoulders that really added to my wrist and finger pains he also taught me some exercises to help loosen up the tension! Also, if you are a little nervous about needles like I have been I thought he was pretty gentle when placing them on the necessary points for your treatment plan! I am super grateful and when I'm back in town I plan to schedule another appointment with him - which is quick and easy to do!
