    Fresh but $16
    Charles M.

The Plum Market stood out from the many other eating options at DTW to my wife and me because of its relatively healthy pre-packaged meals, protein and other type of bars, and different types of drinks, like juices and kombucha. On this layover, I chose the Green Goddess salad with grilled chicken. I enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients especially since my prior meals were on an international flight back to the States. I think the amount of chicken was a bit short of a normal protein serving, and the salad was $16. I understand I'm in a limited options location so prices will be higher, like the bottle of kombucha for $10 that is priced around $4.50 in a grocery store. No, I did not purchase it. Shelves full of snack items and a coffee bar are also located here along with an adult beverage bar. Two checkout locations ease the wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A few high top tables are available for sitting and eating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Located near Gate A36.

it's a really nice option to have in dtw with a good selection of fresh and healthy foods, but it's also a bit expensive. the service/people who work there are hit or miss in my experience.

Stopped in for coffee and a croissant before my flight. The coffee was good. The croissant was meh (sad for Zingerman's ). The baked items are just not fresh enough for the Zingerman's brand in my opinion. This Plum market at the center of the Delta (McNamara) terminal is my go-to for coffee when I am flying Delta out of Detroit. It is not the disaster that is an airport Starbucks. The ladies normally working the coffee/bakery are usually friendly, which is nice in an airport. The market has several areas, one of which is the coffee/bakery. There is a small counter with chargers to sit and work. Everything is priced on the high side, of course.

Plum Market is a casual restaurant that has locations in certain states. This particular location is inside the Detroit airport. While my husband and I waited for our flight, we ate lunch here. The line of customers was long, and the employees served us at a moderate pace. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Some tables and chairs were available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I picked out the kale-brussels sprouts salad, which I rate as 4 stars, and the vegan bahn mi, which I rate as 1.5 stars and threw away. My husband thought that his ham-cheddar sandwich and his chicken-tenders combo tasted OK, perhaps 3 stars and 4 stars, respectively. I did appreciate that some healthier foods were available. Including these four foods and two bottled beverages, our total bill was $67, which we thought was high for the quality.

I forgot this place was here as the bridge over Anthony Wayne drive to 3rd Street got taken out,…read moreseemingly forever and the bridge over Second was awol for the longest time, getting replaced by a new one that's trying really hard to be a landmark. All that made this area a big dead end it made no sense to venture into if you're not a Wayne State student or employee. This Sevs does some serious business. I'm guessing it does the most volume of any 7-11 in Detroit. Only the one on Jefferson between downtown and Belle Isle and the one in Cadillac Square offer any real competition and I'm guessing this college Sevs crushes em. Parking here sucks. I'm not keen to feed the meters and even if i was spaces are scant. Late night on the weekends, though, after metered hours, when I'm getting off my restaurant job grind and have a taste for some junk food this place is banging. Like crazy busy. Like I almost feel like I'm in an 80s movie or TV show where the convenience store is this happening hangout. There's more space here for hot food - pizza, wings, hot dogs, taquitos, etc - than I've ever seen at a Sevs and they keep it moving, too. The hot dogs are no doubt unhealthy but I at least feel like they haven't been rolling around on those metal cylinders for hours. The slurpee and Big Gulp stations are bigger than usual as well. And there's usually three employees on as opposed to the one or two you'd usually see. Even still the line at the checkouts gets stacked pretty deep - seven, eight or nine at times. One night I came in a bit earlier, around ten and it wasn't jumping, only a couple other patrons besides me. Late night, though, students with snack attacks are rolling deep. As you can imagine things can get pretty messy here sometimes with all that foot traffic. The employees do a reasonable job I'm sure but the customers just work even harder at tearing this place up. The trash can by the hot dog station just isn't close enough to it either. The cops are ALWAYS in here, too, even more than a regular 7-11. That night I came in earlier than usual was I think the only night I didn't see police in here and I've probably been to this Sevs at least 7 or 8 times by now. No good cheap dollar beverages here, they only stock the big Arizonas and even waters run more than a buck. They do actually have a couple functioning water fountains, though, for some reason. This 7-11 is just really extra and sometimes I'm in the mood for that and sometimes not. If you need late night convenience around here after the mighty Marcus Market closes and you don't feel like fighting the crowd here I recommend Midtown Market.

This ladder up the side would never fly in old Detroit. There'd definitely be graffiti at the top
