It's really disappointing when a local business seems to be trying to rip off local consumers. My husband went in and bought a part for our faucet - he knew which part and was told that he had 14 days to return. We ended up not needing the part so I tried to return it (unopened, with receipt, within the 14 days). The man said that the receipt says that "service parts" can't be returned at all And insisted my husband was told this. I said it was within 14 days and he said they tell everyone that service parts can't be returned because something about people "getting their free part from Moen" instead. My takeaway is - it's disappointing that they know that there is free part available for this (must be a common problem) and they try to instead sell to consumers for over $40. It is also apparently available on Amazon for around $20. I'm all for supporting local but I also don't think it is fair to be ripped off. Finally, he kept pointing out that it says on the receipt that it can't be returned. You have to buy something before you get a receipt...how does that even make sense? The clichè "...everything but the kitchen sink" sort-of applies here, except they HAVE the kitchen sink. Also the vanity sink, the stationary tub, the toilet and all the valves, handles, elements and faucets that go with it all. PLUMBING IS ALL THEY DO! Along with it all is a level of expertise you might not find in the big blue or big orange store. I've had a leaky lavatory faucet for awhile so I went to my usual outlet for good stuff. The faucet is is probably older than most of the 414 Yelpers and came from the hardware store I always go to. There was a guy who worked there that knew everything anyone ever threw at him, but he retired and his replacement? Not so much. He threw up his hands and sent me here, to PPP. The counter man instantly recognized the obscure part as coming from a Sterling faucet, reached for, and grabbed the proper element off the peg hook. Within seconds, had the new element in the old fitting. I told him I might as well buy the other one, because once one starts to leak, it's not long before the other one will, too. He said, "Good plan" and showed me how to install it. There are some things that you just can't tackle yourself and will require a plumber. Leaky faucet? Hardly. You can do it yourself, like changing a light bulb, and these guys will supply you with the parts you need and the knowledge to tell you how to do it. I now have a dripless faucet. No doubt, Plumbing Parts Plus is the best place in town to take a leak - and they'll show you how to shut it off once and for all. read more

I really hope these guys never retire or close up as they are an incredible resource and exceptionally helpful. Just yesterday I had an old kohler shower mixing valve that needed a complete rebuild. They had all the parts on hand they did it in about 15 minutes. They stock all sorts of odd parts I can never find anywhere else. What sets them apart is there willingness to help you work through a problem even to the point that they've told me to email them a picture then gave me advice on what I needed to do and bring in. Great place, great people, fairly priced. Saved me a lot of money over the years in helping me do things myself that I would've had to call a plumber for. read more

I brought in an older Kohler shower assembly, thinking that I would need to by a whole new assembly because my kids were forcing the lever and stripped the cock. We had the worst experience at this place. Our plumber broke our sink accidentally while trying to remove the 65 year old nuts underneath that had sealed themselves to the sink with corrosion. He went to find a sink here and found one that he thought would work. They told him they could order it but would charge a restocking fee if we returned it. They then told us they would sell us the floor model but would not accept a return. My plumber pushed him a bit and he they said he'd accept it as a return but charge us $50. My husband race back to return it and got to the store 5 minutes before they were supposed to close at 5:00. The place was locked up with the lights out. When he brought it up to the salesperson the next day the guy was a complete ass and complained the entire time about having to put it back out on the floor. He also said we didn't show up at 4:55 because they were still in the store. Liars and thieves. Do not use this place. read more

Horrible experience. My husband went in with a supply list. The person he spoke with said he was too busy and to send it in an email. I sent the parts list in an email. I called to follow up and was placed on hold and then told I would receive a call back because they were too busy. I called back two days later after no call. They had no idea what list I was talking about, because nobody brought it to their attention. When they found the email I was told that they were too busy, it would take five hours just to find pricing, and another four to five days for the parts. Unfortunately they are too busy to help customers. I was looking forward to supporting a local store. We are building a bathroom, meaning the opportunity for them would have been great. read more

This is a warning to consumers who purchase from this business. If you happen to buy an item or two that you thought you would use to do repairs at home and attempt to return new, unopened, never-removed parts from the original packaging with your original receipt, you are screwed. I attempted to return 2 unneeded Kohler parts purchased 48 hours prior from this store and they refused to take them back. Note that there is no sign (among the numerous signs posted everywhere) that states "final sale" or "no returns allowed". In their defense, they do print that no-return notice on the bottom of your receipt in small type. If you are not in the habit of reading the minutia and the other miscellaneous garbage at the bottom of a receipt, that's the only place you'll find the warning. Be warned, buy only parts that you cannot locate anywhere else and be prepared to use them because you are stuck with them. And believe me, when challenged, tempers flare immediately. This is a store living example of a "screw-you, you're another sucker" frame of mind. In a world of where customer service is king, Plumbing Parts Plus earns a D minus. P. S. I didn't rank them at the bottom only because they likely have the parts you want. You'd be foolish to rely upon them as your source, however. Go find another competitor or go online. It's 2017, there are alternatives. And no one deserves the attitude they dish. read more
