I reached out to a plumber through Yelp last Friday afternoon, to repair a broken sewer line to my septic tank, an urgent need. I agreed to Yelp sharing my request with other plumbers who might be able to do the work. The first plumber is out of business, but another plumber, PlumbSmart, texted me within a few minutes. I called them and they sent Herman out the same evening. Herman evaluated the situation. He was very knowledgeable and a good communicator. He did not have everything he would need for the repair on his truck, but I accepted his bid to come back the next day to replace the last 3 feet of PVC and tie it in to the septic tank. The next day, he did a top quality repair and fully filled in the ditch I had previously dug to expose the sewer line. Friendly, professional, and for a fair price, Hector took care of the problem before it could mess up Christmas week. I will surely call PlumbSmart the next time I need plumbing work done. read more

We couldn't recommend PlumbSmart more. We have had 3 issues in the past 6 months and have called them all 3 times. The first issue was for our rental property in Wimberley. Their quote was fair and the work was professional. The other 2 issues were for our personal home in San Antonio. The first issue turned out to not be plumbing related but hvac related. They had a hvac partner of theirs out here within the hour. The third issue was for a leak due to the freeze. They were so kind to work with our insurance. When our insurance was unresponsive, Brandon (the tech for the job) personally called me to make sure we were going ok since our water was off. I also love Amalia who answers the phone. She is so kind and knowledgeable. I have also spoken personally with the owner Adam. He is also super kind and easy to talk to. It seems they put a lot of thought and consideration into the people they chose to be on their team. They really care about their customers. They come in with a problem solving hat on and they make me feel comfortable and are never condescending or arrogant as some plumbers can be. With so many positive reviews, this was the reason I called. Unfortunately , I will never recommend these guys again. Long story but in end, my problem wasn't solved. They wanted to charge another $1,000, then reduced that to $600 and promised they would come back on a Monday to fix the issue for $600. Well they never showed up for agreeded upon day, no call/text. Well I saw SA Specialties advertised on KSAT and took my chances. Well it worked in my favor . The $600 job Plumbsmart quoted me ended up being $300. read more

Justin arrived early and assessed the situation with my water leak and gave me a few options on how to proceed with the repairs. They were very accurate with the estimate and even found me a less expensive route than we had previously discussed. They even applied a military discount for my wife's service in the Navy. He called in Devin for backup and the two went at it. Demolition was a lot cleaner than expected and we were able to salvage some of the cabinets if we choose to reuse them at a later time. The repairs were complete in a timely manner and the cleanup was thorough. They guys were very personable and well mannered. Most importantly the work was complete within the estimate that was agreed on. I highly recommend them for any of your plumbing needs. Do yourself a favor and stop looking for another plumber these guys are honest and professional beyond anything I can express in a yelp review. I cannot urge anyone enough to utilize this company as they are the only plumbers you will ever need. I had a different company come out recently and try and scam me out of $1400 for a new PRV valve and expansion tank that was replaced by the same scammers less than 3 years ago. Joe from PlumbSmart came out and diagnosed all of that to be false and did not charge me a dime. Honesty from a company is such a hard thing to find in this day and age which is a shame. Honesty cannot be purchased and the fact that they are of good character while also professional and knowledgeable beyond the power of money says everything. My water heater went out last week and I needed some help quickly. I called my existing plumber (large company in SA) to diagnose the problem but was always nervous they were going to try to sell me something or recommend a replacement when a repair would also work. Also, I was tired of haggling with them to price match with competitors and never knowing if I was getting ripped off or not. I started looking for another plumber on google and Yelp and called 5 of them to get quotes, to test their response times, and to ask about the preventative maintenance. Long story short, the last one I called was PlumbSmart and the rest was history! Their 5-star reviews gave me a first great impression, and then it was smooth sailing from start to finish! Their answering service got me in touch with one of the owners, Cody, that returned my call quickly, and gave me some friendly and candid advice and perspective. I called and they said it would be 30 minutes, 2 hours past the time and it was the first appointment of the day... took him 2 hours to pack up the truck the dispatch said. I wrote a review about a month ago about my buyers remorse, saying that it was plumb dumb to choose this outfit. I did not call anyone dumb, even though the reply stated that I did. In addition, the most inexpensive quote was still expensive at $225. As it turned out the repaired drain now has some unsightly caulking material around it on the surface which, unlike the original drain on the other side of the double sink, is well beyond the borders. Not a very good job. Finally, I did not ask for money back, but the responder said he would deliver a check, then left a message saying he would credit my card, but did neither. That's just to set the record straight. I've already written this off as a bad experience and a word to the wise. read more

First off, I've dealt with several Plumbing Companies in the last six months for various reasons. Cody & PlumbSmart are by far the most professional & honest company I know. Joe came to my house & was honest, upfront & all around great guy. He never once tried to push me into needing this done or letting them replace that. I had a slow leak develop in one of the cold water pipes in my daughter's restroom. The carpet in the adjacent bedroom floor in my daughter's room was wet and I couldn't find the leak. After hours of troubleshooting, I had to call in the professionals. I called PlumbSmart after reading many 5 star reviews on Yelp. I called PlumbSmart on 09/05/2023 around 4pm and PlumbSmart had the leaking pipe diagnosed and repaired in less than 24 hours. The plumbing master and tactical surgeon, Brandon Murphy arrived earlier than expected... I showed Mr. Murphy the area of concern and he got to work right away. Brandon entered the wall noninvasively and did so in a way where the piece of sheetrock he removed to locate the leak was salvaged (making the repair easy). Was in the market for water softener these guys came out right away buuuttt had no info on the actual softener. 3 worker 3 trucks and no info or pamphlet. Turns out they are plumbers installing softeners to which they gave me NO info on. Didn't test the water. They were quick with the on the spot quote though. Which was the exact same as an actual water softener company that offered way more info and an actual warranty. 2 stars for being prompt though. read more

We recently had a major backup in our plumbing system in both bathrooms, on a Saturday. What a stinky, nasty mess! Based on positive Yelp reviews, I called PlumbSmart and spoke with Roger. He stated they could be out the next day. When I conveyed my distress to Roger, their Operations Manager, he scheduled us that evening. He came out himself along with Devon. They were polite, respectful, and knowledgeable. They quickly cleaned the drain line and in the process found tree roots had grown into a joint in the line. They also found calcium buildup in the lines and recommended hydrojet cleaning. When I declined the hydrojet service because of the additional cost (husband recently had a stroke, no longer able to work) I received a call from Cody. He was most understanding and generously offered the hydrojet service pro bono. We were absolutely stunned and most grateful. Roger scheduled the digging crew quickly and Devon returned to replace the line within a day. The job was done right and fast. We couldn't be happier with the service we received from Roger and Devon and Cody's kindness. We highly recommend PlumbSmart and will call them first for any future issues we may have. read more

Called PlumbSmart after reading numerous favorable reviews on line. My hot water heater began spewing water into my garage so had to turn the water off to the house. Cody from PlumbSmart came out the same day and immediately determined that my 11 year old hot water heater had rusted out and needed to be replaced. He presented several options and never tried to up-sell me. I was impressed by that. He assured me that no matter which heater I chose, it would be installed professionally, would come with a warranty, and I would have hot water again. I felt so taken care of. George came out the next day and he and his helper (sorry, didn't get his name) took out my old heater and installed the new one. And in record time! They even added an overflow to the outside from the hot water heater closet so no repeat of water spewing into my garage. Hopefully this one lasts 11 years, too! We called our plumbing company that we have a monthly maintenance contract with; they scheduled us for the next day. Seriously? It was a significant leak, we had to turn our water off.
