They were able to call me back during that 10pm holiday weekend panic to let me know when they could get someone to my home, just another service had faster availability for 2am that night. They still continued to follow-up with me after that appointment with another provider to make sure everything was okay and came back for that line service just a few weeks ago. No judgement at all from Above and Beyond on how it was I had forgotten two summers in a row about the vinegar. These guys are timely, communicative, and great on pricing. I have compared their pricing to at least six other local service companies and not only is Above and Beyond better, they are completely transparent on where the costs are coming from.

Water was leaking from our upstairs bedroom attic down to our first floor living room ceiling.1st…read moreCall came out and after 3-1/2 hours of looking at it and talking about it, gave us two proposals to correct the problem. The first was to replace the supposedly damaged and leaking evaporator coil and drain pan inside the air handling unit at a cost of nearly $7k, with only a 90-day warranty on certain parts and labor. The timing to receive the parts and schedule the installation was undetermined. The second option was to replace the entire air handler and outside condensing unit at a cost of $16.5k. We were told that this equipment was available from their warehouse and work could begin as early as the next day. In either case, they emphatically stated that they would not work with any home insurance company because they would not provide any required pricing breakdowns and they always tended to make them "look bad". It was recommended that we keep the unit turned off until the system was repaired/replaced and that we stay in another part of the house that has a separate unit until then. We contacted another HVAC company to look at the problem. They came out the next day. After an hour they had the unit checked out and determined that there was no air handling unit problem, the evaporator coil was fine. and that we had a plugged-up drain line. They flushed the line out with compressed air, vacuumed it out and had the system back on for less than $500. It has been working perfectly for two weeks now. We had used 1st Call for 2-3 years prior; never again. You can imagine the level of betrayal we experienced. Be cautious of companies that are either incompetent, untrustworthy or just out and out fraudulent.
