He inspected the wiring to the disposal and removed it. Showed me the issue and said the charge was 241.00 which did not include a replacement. Do I pay that and then go buy a disposal and hire someone else to install it or just have them complete the job. I had a 1/3 HP and he did not have it on the truck. Had to go get one. He brought back a 1/4 HP and told me the bigger one would cost approximately 300 more. It came out to over 600.00 when it was all said and done. I use to have a home appliance warranty policy for years and there was an issue every time I used them which was seldom so I cancelled them. Goes to say I don't have a lot of experience hiring for these issues but obviously they have figured out how to make money by limiting your options. All I can say is beware of these companies and the way they handle their service charges. I will not recommend this company to anyone unless they have extra money to throw away.

When the second expert, Roger, came by, everything was quick, simple, and straightforward. I have yet to have everything completed yet, but so far it's been a great experience all things considered. Oh and I love that they send me a text of who I should be expecting and that they're on the way. Great touch. 10/10.

We bought a home with a 5-year old Kinetico water softener. The water in the house would come out…read morefrothy and SUPER salty. We had Kinetico come and service it. They said that the issue was that we needed to replace the PRV out by the street, which would cost $1,000. We had a non-Kinetico plumber come out to change out the PRV and see if he could help solve the softener issue. The first thing he pointed out was that the Kinetico filter hadn't been changed in what looked like years - yet the Kinetico service peeps had been there "servicing" the system just a few days earlier! The non-Kinetico plumber noted that he wouldn't touch a Kinetico system, but he showed us how to change the filter and charged $200 to replace the PRV. (One fifth the price of the Kinetico quote.) The PRV and filter change made no difference in the salt water issue, so we had Kinetico come out again. (Another $250 even though it was under warranty.) They came out again and replaced some small components in the system head, BUT also said that they recommend that we replace the system with one of their newer models because our warranty was about to expire AND the salt would probably return. OR add a dechlorinator, but they couldn't say if that would actually solve the problem. The new system would be ~$7,500 if we bought it before our warranty expired. It would be more expensive if we waited a month (after the expiration date). (They try to upsell on the phone and when they come out. It is a constant thing with anyone we speak to.) Three weeks later the salty water returned - extreme frothy, salty water. When taking a shower, it is as if we are bathing with ocean water. I generally wash my face afterward with bottled water to get the salt off my lips. Obviously, we can't drink the water like that. So if you crave salt water and want a softener that will last less than 5 years and want to pay $250 per service call (when under warranty) Kinetico is the choice for you. It has been a very disappointing experience. We are replacing the system with a less expensive but hopefully more reliable system.

Dillon came out and located the leak, repaired, tested and advised the system is now closed and no leaks evident. Daniel and Dillon are very conscientious and thorough in their work. I reached out to several companies and they were all charging $5,000 to $9,000 for the same water softener system that I got with the Water Softener Nerds (WSN) for way less. WSN came right out, did an evaluation on the house and told me what I'd need. Didn't try to "sell" me anything by making me watch an entire show and explanation either. WSN set up an appointment, was in and out really quick and explained to me, in simple terms, of how it works, what everything means, and how to take care of it. Since then, my water has been clean and not hard, tasting like chlorine, not leaving me dry and itchy after a shower. I feel smooth and soft and my hair feels great. Great Service at reasonable cost. Our previous water softener had malfunctioned and clogged our pipes with resin. He was able to diagnosis the issue and demonstrate what had happened. Moved into our house 6 years ago with a very nice Pentair/GE water softener…read more Couple months ago, had a plumber from Goettl (also terrible) come out to check a leak and lied to me about a lot of things but did recommend I get my carbon tank changed...fair enough. Found San Antonio Water Solutions because they are an authorized dealer of the system we have and they came out to change the tank. However, after that, the softener started leaking with every charge. So I called them back and they sent out a tech to look at it. Told me there was a crack in the system and that the whole swoftener needed replacement. Ugh. And also charged me another service call fee...thanks. 1- When they came out to replace the tank, he did not have the correct parts. So the system sat in my garage for like 3 weeks before they figured the parts out and came back 2 - They arrived to change the tank and told me I needed to change my Pressure regulator valve...which i had already done the week before! So my father in law adjusted it and apparently that made it better. So after they installed the new one, guess what? LEAKED AGAIN. 3 - So they sent out their "service manager" to look at it and told me there was likely a clog in the drainage system, leading to pressure buildup and I needed to call a plumber. (Which he should have known wasn't the problem since the rest of the house was draining just fine.) 4 - Called plumber, he cut the pipe and scoped it, to find out there was no clog but the drain pipe was installed weird and there was a little standing water in it but that was due to the way it was installed and not a clog. Conclusion: Upon further inspection by us, the homeowners, it appears that the only problem was a crack in the drainage tube. We have since changed it and no leaks. I attribute it getting cracked to when they initially changed the carbon tank. I'm now into this a couple thousand dollars when I should only be into it a couple hundred. Take-home points: This company is a clown show. They are absolutely awful at diagnosing issues. Their "service manager" needs to look himself in the mirror and question whether he needs to hire someone who can actually manage service. When the homeowner is the one actually solving the issues, then that should tell you something about the kind of job a company does. Won't call them ever again. Happy to have them out of my life

This owner could have a) honored his assertions that he would swap out the filter and softener because we were experiencing smells from the second his equipment was installed [he also broke his word and did not swap out the units like he agreed he would], b) offered a refund and come remove his equipment and we both move on, or c) abandon the customer after ~60 days. The owner chose C. The owner also chose to call me a "Karen" and a Bozo because a customer expected him to resolve issues from his services and posted a low star rating of his company. His lack of customer service, professionalism, and installation are sufficient for a NO-star rating. This company is as big a joke as its name! The best advice this Neanderthal gave me was to place the system he installed in bypass for a month. We had to pay a real professional water company $500 to correct the poor installation done by Little Profit Water Softeners.
