I've spent thousands of dollars at this place over the years. I always felt that their prices are excessive but they're convenient to my home and they seemed honest and competent. Not anymore! $200.00 for a 50 cent fuse!!! My engine light was on. I told Plus One that it's for a system that speeds up engine warming in cold climates. Not necessary in SoCal but I needed it to power up to pass the smog test. They said it needed a fuse. Diagnostic Fee: $200.00 Dollars! I purchased four travel trailer tires from PLUS 1 PERFORMANCE at a cost of over $600.00. About 1,000 miles later one of them blew up on the highway in Texas! After being reamed for the fuse I'd had enough of these guys! I asked for a refund for the tire, THEY STILL BILLED ME FOR MOUNTING AND BALANCING! For a tire that blew up in two days on the road! Beware of their alignment capabilities. My partner and I live up the mountains, so it is crucial for our alignment to be as straight and consistent as possible. We got both of our cars done here after getting a set of new tires for both cars, and now roughly 6 months later both of our cars have SEVERE balding on the inside of the tires. Wires exposed, tread gone, balding. We never would have seen this if I hadn't need to take my car in for a break and lamp inspection; this could have killed us. Prior to this, we had our alignments done elsewhere and they also didn't do a good job, it wasn't perfect but it wasn't great. We suspect that this business took our money and didn't do a single thing to our cars, just robbed us. We took our cars to the much more reputable Synder's Tires here in crestline; it was more expensive but we got a complete report of how terribly aligned my car was, something Plus One didn't do. I have to give a backstory first . I drove down an unfamiliar road and ended up running over a rock that punctured not one but 2 tires on the same side . This was around 11am , I didn't get a tow truck until 2:45am ( AAA ) . The worst 3 hours EVER ! Called another tow around 8 am and had to wait 5 hours to get picked up. I had to pull off the highway on a trip to Big Bear due to a loud squeaking noise near my rear wheels on my lifted truck. I thought it was a bearing issue on one of my wheels. Brought it to this shop and they quickly diagnosed it as a driveline issue. They removed the balancer on the driveshaft, which had come loose, and I was able to get it to my destination and then home with some harmless vibration. They were really honest and definitely saved our family trip!! He gave me the part and told me what to order. I have an old but in good condition "94" Ford Taurus which unfortunately failed the smog test twice. My smog guy advised me to take it to Plus 1 performance and ask for Rami. I meant Rami also Joe and Paul and I left my Ford there while Rami checked for the problem. About 4 hrs later the Ford was ready and I took it back to my smog guy and it passed. They don't know what they're doing. If you have a high end car DO NOT bring it here. I brought my Mercedes s63 AMG in to replace my rims. I brought in my own rims and they charged a surprising price for each tire to be put on. It was emergency repair, so I figured I'd pay it anyway. I was called about 20 minutes after I dropped off my car and was told that my marker bulb was out. I asked the cost to replace it, he quoted me something I thought would be reasonable. I told him to go ahead and do the work. An hour after my car was supposed to be done, I showed up and see them still working on my car. Replacing the rims but my hood was open.... I waited, and when I got my car back, I asked which lightbulb they replaced. The mechanic who actually worked on my car said he didn't touch any of the bulbs. The only bulb that was out was a headlight bulb, not a marker light. Looking at my receipt, I was charged for a bulb that has been disabled on my Mercedes. The owner who called didn't know what kind of bulb he was talking about when he charged me for it. Not only that, I called him specifically to mention that the front and rear tires are different sizes. The mechanic never received the Message. So, of course, he didn't pay attention to which rims he put on which tire. Therefore my tires looked like this when I got home. (See pictures below) Before leaving, the owner personally went out to check the sensors on my car. He couldn't recognize that there was a message on my dash, therefore the buttons wouldn't work on my steering wheel. He tried to tell me my car had a different problem instead of knowing to cancel the message.... The lack of knowledge when being told they work on high end cars was severely disappointing. They clearly do not work on high end cars, and if you own one they can cause more damage. He claimed he could work on my car, and didn't know the first thing about Mercedes AMG rims, THAT THEY'RE DIFFERENT SIZES ON THE FRONT AND REAR. A mistake like that could cost my front end. I went to my regular mechanic and asked for a quote for the headlight bulb. I needed an alignment as well. He quoted me 1/5 the price including labor, and my mechanic SPECIALIZES in cars. (Lamborghini, Ferrari, etc.) The lack of professionalism despite Paul's "humblest apologies" is the reason we are never going back. Our whole day has been wasted on this issue. I now have to go back and get the rims checked by my regular mechanic, because even after bringing it back, I can't trust that the work was done right. read more

So, he gave me a mini-crash course in the different battery types and the reasons each was appropriate for the amount of electronic equipment required to run in the background even when the car was "off". Needless to say, service was friendly and quick - not like the hours/days it takes a dealership to fix an issue. A lady with green/purple hair assisted us saying she will have to measure the thread count first and went back inside to get something. THE LADY NEVER CAMEBACK! We were standing outside waiting if they would still provide us the service we needed but NO ONE CAME! We were waiting for about 25mins and finally decided to leave this place. We felt neglected. Called this fine establishment today because I ran over a screw. Normally a $10 - $15 fix, but not in Lou's world apparently... he charges $27 minimum. A little expensive but I needed to repair my tire and I was down the street so I was willing to have them repair my tire. The issue that led to me writing this review is that during my phone call, I asked the price for a tire rotation and balance in addition to fixing my flat. Lou took about 40 seconds to answer my question as he sounded as if he was looking up how much they charge for that service, like it gets performed there every couple of years. A TIRE SHOP!!! This was a red flag already. Anyone knows that you call a tire shop and they can spout off a price for a rotation and balance in less than a second. Not Lou. He chose to go the two bit shoddy salesman route and he said, "You know what, I will do the rotation and balance for $100." I almost fainted... I told him I didn't ask for an alignment, I asked for a rotation and balance. Plus if that was a price for an alignment, that is a dang expensive alignment too! Lou replied, "Yeah, I got to have my guys remove all four tires, balance and rotate them. Plus I'm not charging you to patch the hole in the tire." Anyone who is wealthy and stupid enough to spend $100 on a tire rotation and balance, this is the place for you. Needless to say, I took my business to an establishment down the street from a recommendation by a friend and I paid $10 for the flat fix. I needed four new tires for my ram 1500. Let me just confess right now that I know far more about making chocolate chip cookies than what I know about shopping for tires. I had a certain type that I wanted, wildpeaks for snow and regular Fwy driving, which was suggested for my truck from a friend. When I called Plus 1 performance they went above and beyond to find these tires for me during covid crisis and never made me feel embarrassed about my lack of knowledge. I have been going here for years. Normally the service is excellent and I am extremely satisfied. However today was a disappointment all the way around. I took my Jeep for an oil change which in the past has included tires rotated and aired if needed, fluids topped off and if air filter needs changed they ask me if I want it. Today they did nothing but change the oil period and raised the price by $28 since I was last there in February. They did give me a 10% off however they did less than they normally did. My car is lowered on Coilovers full adjustable and dampening and camber is adjustable. Tried to sell me camber stuff when they adjust ? ‍ then he marked the price up and when I refused he said he'll give me a discount. I went there once to test the service, they try to be nice, don't get me wrong. The problem is when I needed a repair they expect me to buy the parts when it was their incompetence that lead down to my suspension failure. I asked for a refund on the labor so that I may take it to my regular shop (further out) and was denied that, and instead was asked to deal with their techs again. I knew more than their technicians which I wish I knew sooner, and their technicians told me false information that continue to cost me time and money. read more
