This place is Huge. I can tell you that from my initial visit I was expecting this place to be a small sketch little pool hall with some questionable looking people hanging around. I was making assumptions based on the outside but once we opened the doors we were shocked to see how big of a pool hall this place was and how very wrong I was. I believe they had around 25 pool tables or more fitting in here with plenty of seating stools and enough spacing so people could enjoy their game. They had a bar which appeared to only serve 5 or 6 beers on tap. Out of the beer that they did serve, I think they do a really good job of maintaining their lines because I can tell you the beer tasted better here than at alot of fancy bars I've been to. Saturday night prices seemed to be $22 to $25 an hour so it might not be the cheapest but hey its local, clean and friendly so i would go again. read more

Contrary to the other review, I like Plush Pocket I like it just fine :) been a patron for a little over a year. There are plenty of tables, they do only serve beer (on tap and bottled) and soft drinks, and they also offer food to munch on, like hots dogs, and sandwiches, and your usual snacks like chips and stuff. Chuy, the attendant is a friendly guy, always greets us when we come in, and knows exactly what we like to drink. They have a jukebox, with perhaps yes a little outdated tracks, but that's what makes it fun! The Plush Pocket in Northridge reminds me of the old time pool halls that I used to frequent. The tables are well maintained and the staff is friendly. They serve quite a few beers and have some small snacks as well. If you are an avid pool player you will enjoy this place and watching some of the regulars run the table for practice. If you suck at pool, you can comfortably suck in a corner or abstain from sucking altogether by having a seat on one of Plush's many comfortable chairs. You can drink beer out of a chilled mug. You can watch sports and chomp on pretzels. You can challenge people who are way better than you and grandly embarrass yourself. You can act creepy, but no one will like you. No food served, great parking area. Friendly staff and players. If you are a serious player the front row tables are there with tight pockets, you are accused to be a gambler once you step in there with a nice set of cue and cue case. Many pros go there to play. I left my ID card and after a few days went there and they have kept it in a safe place for me which I appreciated that. A bit pricy for renting a table but I guess it is the reputation! Solid Tables - They have the full size 9 footers but they also had 3 baby tables for quarters. I guess that's good for the beginners. Beer only and some light snakes like Hot Dogs and Sandwiches. Chewy there is always nice and friendly. No bouncers so they probably don't get a lot of drunk idiots. They hold league games there as well. Overall, a nice quaint place to shoot pool. read more

Went here last night and had a good time up until it was time to pay. we got told our bill amount and asked if they could give us an itemized list of charges because the bill was pretty high. They then proceeded to get annoyed by my questions and concern as to why our bill was high. The manger then took a pad and began to handwrite the apparent charges. Bartender and manager insisted we got there at 8:15pm, when we actually arrived at 10:15, if not later. They they told us we ordered 5 pitchers when we actually only ordered 2. Then I began to ask the bartender and manager how they came up with those numbers and they sounded fluster and still could not prove there assumption we're correct. I then ask the manager to prove me wrong and look at the video footage from the camera that sits right above the bar. He refused. By the end of the discussion we still ended up being over charged an extra pitcher of beer. So if u plan to visit this pool bar in the future be sure to keep your own tap of all purchases, as well as your arrive time. read more

The old bartenders and workers were great, idk what the new girls name is (that's been there for a month) but she is BEYOND rude. My friend cut his hand on the table and asked for a band aid (which should be their responsibility to provide in a situation like that) and she laughed then told him "don't worry it'll stop bleeding." Later, I went to the owner to explain what happened me ask again for a bandaid and NOT ONLY did they have a whole drawer of bandaids but the owner had no interest in what I was saying nor did he care that his employee was rude. Great pool hall. The tables are well kept and the felt runs well. They have a few quarter operated Diamond tables if you're preparing for tournaments. I will give it to them the place has a lot of pool tables, is very clean and for the location has a lot of parking and food choices around. You can bring food inside. I was just disappointed they only had a couple bar sized tables that I'm use to playing on. They were all taken up with players so I was forced to play on the larger 9 foot tables they have a billion of, which I just didn't enjoy. If you love playing pool in bars, and are not use to the larger 9 foot tables, this place is not for you. ... The beer selection was thin, not much to choose from, decently priced though. No wine no liqueur, so if you don't drink beer, your not drinking, sorry! Great Pool hall in the valley, its very big inside with plenty of pool tables, unlike most places you are standing around waiting for a long time just to play, they have a full bar and they have pitchers of beer for a low price. they show all sports game events and any other kind of big events like boxing matches. its a real nice place to go with friends to hang out and play pool, i go there often with a group of friends and we all enjoy this place, if you are looking for a place to hang out with friends that is really laid back i recommend this place any time. read more
