We've been here twice with our toddler. Everyone has always been very kind, but I'm feeling really frustrated after our second visit. During my daughter's appointment, I clearly explained that she has a penicillin allergy and told the doctor which antibiotic she had done well on in the past. As her mother, I know how she reacts to certain medications, but the doctor chose to prescribe a different one anyway. Unfortunately, that antibiotic is now giving her a reaction. When I called to explain what was happening and asked if they could please call in a different antibiotic, the one she has safely taken before. I was told they couldn't do that and that we'd need to come back in. I don't understand why we would need to pay another $175 just to be told what I already explained: that she needs a new antibiotic. It's upsetting to feel like my concerns as a parent weren't taken seriously. Update - I reached out to their corporate offices with my concerns and was never contacted. read more

We've taken our baby boy to this urgent care center twice in the past seven months. And I have to say, this facility is pretty good. In December of 2023, we took our then 18-months old to the facility because he was having a 99-100 degree fever. We waited for about 60-75 minutes (it was 2am in the morning). When it was finally our turn, the nurses and doctors provided quality care. We did some testing and later found out that our baby did not have COVID or the flu. Last week, we took our baby boy again for diarrhea and diaper rash. We only waited 15 minutes this time because I registered and checked-in online. The doctor was careful in her examination and explained our next treatment steps. Overall, I think this urgent care center is awesome. read more

Terrible experience. I don't typically leave reviews but here I am. My two year old son was wheezing and having respiratory distress so I took him in and was very worried about him. After filling out a lot of paperwork in the lobby, they finally took me back. The assistant was so rude throughout the entire visit, I cannot emphasize this enough. Additionally, in the beginning of the appointment the Dr offered my son a lolipop and I explained to her that he couldn't have it because he has severe food allergies to many allergens and I couldn't be certain the lolipop was not be cross contaminated. Well, later when she gave me the syringe of meds to give him, I noticed he started itching a lot after taking it. I stepped out of the room and looked where the medicine was and there was strawberry Hersheys syrup out on the counter. I asked the dr if she gave that to him and she said yes she put it in with his medicine because "the medicine tastes terrible"... but she didn't ask me before or tell me it was in the medicine I gave it to him. I told her that I had told her he had food allergies and she said "we try to use hypoallergenic stuff" and then asked me what he is allergic to after I had told them at least twice what he was allergic to. Regardless, trying to use hypoallergenic items doesn't really cut it when it comes to cross contamination and informed consent... especially when she was on notice of a food allergy and didn't tell me she was using food in the meds!!! Thankfully my son ended up not reacting other than itching but I was shocked that she wouldn't even tell me about the syrup or let me read the label and he was already in respiratory distress. Beyond that there were numerous other things that I was unhappy with during the visit, including but not limited to general staff demeanor. read more

I had a horrible experience here. My mom had arrived at 320 to get for us, told us there would be 60-90 minute wait so i got there at 415 and got our daughter's vitals checked. We waited for another 35 minutes to be seen by Dr Eliot, who is great. An ear flush was ordered so Dr could check that there for an ear infection. After another 25 minutes our nurse Gixy comes back to perform ear flush which daughter hated and said that it hurt and i spent almost 10 minutes trying to console her. The flush was done with no care for my daughter's experience. Another 15 minutes passed and on my way to the bathroom, Dr Eliot said we needed another ear flush. At the same time, daughter is telling me she's hungry which is a relief since she didnt eat much for the past 2 days. I let them know i am now on a time crunch and I did receive goldfish and a juice box. Another 10-12 minutes after that Gixy comes back with another nurse to help. So now its me, my mom, another nurse holding down my 2 year old while Gixy put the tube inside her ear and sprayed 4-5x in a row while she was screaming and crying. Looking back I truly regret allowing the second ear flush because it seemed very painful and she kept letting me know that her ear hurt all the way home and even at bedtime. We didn't leave until close to 7 by the way. I called Dr Eliot to let her know of my concerns with the flush and she did say she did not see any ruptures in the ear when she finally checked. If i got a glass vase in a plastic bag and stomped on it, the vase would have broken but the bag would still be in tact so I did not find that answer very comforting, but appreciated the call back in a timely manner. The morning after she told me her ear was still hurting which Dr Eliot had said the pain should be gone by the morning. Not sure why I had to wait so long, the whole appt took almost 3 hours, not including time spent in the waiting room. Not sure why Gixy was so mean to my daughter. Not sure if there will be lasting ear damages from the flush. Neither of us had a good time and we will not be coming back to this practice. read more

Brought my baby in for low oxygen levels (87%-93%) documented across three different pulse oximeters at home, both while awake and asleep. Of course, once we got to the urgent care, his oxygen level had improved--but even while resting, it still dropped to 95%. Benjamin Newman-Paul, PA-C was extremely dismissive simply because my baby looked fine. But he's currently fighting a respiratory infection, and as a parent (and a nurse), I know how quickly infants can decompensate. When I expressed concern, he told me not to "focus on a number." That logic makes no sense--this isn't just about a number; it's about an infant with a known respiratory infection who has been showing consistently low oxygen readings for over an hour across multiple devices. Ignoring that data is not just dismissive--it's dangerous. We asked for the bare minimum: to keep the pulse ox on for 5 minutes to continue monitoring. He had initially offered to observe a bit longer, but then refused to leave the device on, saying they needed it for other patients. That's completely unacceptable. How do you monitor the very issue we came in for--oxygen levels--without using a pulse ox? Do you only have one available in an urgent care setting? Even more frustrating was the poor assessment. He listened only to the front of my baby's chest, with his shirt still on, and didn't listen to his back at all. He also claimed to assess for retractions by touch rather than actually looking--didn't even lift his shirt. That is not a thorough or acceptable pediatric exam. I came in because I was truly concerned--something I don't take lightly. The provider's ego seemed to outweigh patient safety. If he's unwilling to take parents seriously or perform basic assessments, especially with infants, he should not be practicing in pediatrics. We left deeply disappointed and feeling unheard. I hope he reflects on this and prioritizes patient care in the future. read more

** 1/5** **PM Pediatric Urgent Care - Disappointing Walk-In Experience** We had a very stressful experience today as a family of four -- myself, my 1-year-old daughter (who was sick), and my 7-year-old son. Since it was Memorial Day and no regular pediatricians were available, we decided to walk into PM Pediatric Urgent Care around 1 PM, right after they opened. Unfortunately, we were unaware that appointments could be made online ahead of time -- this information wasn't communicated when we called prior to our visit. The receptionist told us no one was there and didn't mention any upcoming appointments. Naturally, we assumed walk-ins would be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, we ended up waiting for over **two and a half hours**, watching patients who arrived much later than us being seen ahead of us. When we asked the front desk for an update, we were told that scheduled appointments were prioritized and walk-ins would only be seen in between -- **without any clear estimate or concern** for how long that might take. This was especially frustrating because no one told us appointments were being booked while we were already in the waiting room. During the long wait, my 1-year-old daughter, who was already sick and fussy, **threw up twice**, and there was no assistance or concern shown by the staff. The waiting area was hot and **poorly ventilated** -- no proper air conditioning, and we were all visibly uncomfortable. It felt chaotic, disorganized, and frankly, **uncaring** -- especially for a pediatric setting. This visit felt like a clear **inequality in care** between walk-ins and those with appointments. I truly hope they reconsider how they handle walk-in families going forward. If you're planning to walk in without an appointment, **I wouldn't recommend this location** -- it felt like a complete waste of time and a very upsetting experience for our whole family.. read more

Be prepared that you have to wait at least two hours in the lobby on Sunday before you can see the doctor. I had an appointment, however they don't see the patients by the appointment schedule. It seemed they saw the patients in order of arrival time. So don't bother to book appointment, which is waste of your time. Nobody contacted you while you were waiting. After you saw the doctor, you need at least one more hour to discharge. read more

There is something to be said about those who sincerely care about what they do. I recently visited this location in the middle of night for my daughter who was wheezing and while in the frenzy of it all, I had left my wallet at home. As I was telling the staff that I had to come back, she insisted I stayed because of the condition of my daughter. She was seen right away, as it was a slow night, and was assessed and treated efficiently and effectively. The nurse and the doctor were both quite kind and caring with helping my little one feel at ease. I appreciated that the doctor took the time to discuss the treatment plan with me as well. When it was all said and done, I left with a happy and healthier kid. I can't thank the staff enough for being so accommodating in putting my child's health above all else. Super conflicted on what rating to give PM pediatrics because when we finally saw the doctor and nurse they were extremely friendly, helpful and great with my son. But getting to that point was a NIGHTMARE. My son had what I thought was hand, foot and mouth so we rush him there to check. They told us the wait would be an hour, okay fine we didn't have an appointment. We decide to go for a walk because there was some sick looking kids in there with no mask on. After roughly an hour we received a call saying it would be ANOTHER HOUR. Mind you, they have a handy dandy wait list that said there were 3 people ahead of us while the receptionist on the phone said there were 6 when she called. At this point we could've really easily gone home and waited there instead of walking around with my poor sick son trying to figure out what to do. So after waiting almost another hour we return to the office and the reception told us it was be another 30 minutes. The good news? She called us in 15 to come back in. The bad news? Once the nurse took us back we waited another almost 30 minutes in the room before anybody come back in to see us. So essentially I was trapped in a room with my screaming, sick, 2 year old until I finally marched into the hallway to see what the heck was going on. The nurse was incredibly friendly and said that it was only her and the doctor all day and they had been crazy busy. It happens, I get it. It sounds like from other reviews this isn't the first time. Dr. Edgerton (sp?) was great like I said and made me feel much better. But to the practice as a whole, maybe hire more staff? Because that experience was *bleeping* torture. read more

I had brought my son here 11:30pm I get that yall close at 12:00am but for a concerned parent and this is my first child the service sucked. Everything was rushed , the nurse didn't even care what I had to say then 2 secs the doctor comes in . I went because my son was having an allergic reaction to the medication his pediatrician gave him earlier on in the day when we went to seen him for a sick visit . Clearly my son has red bumps and hive like things on him the doctor said oh it looks like eczema. I will not come back here ! I would give them a zero if I could ! read more

I've had to bring my baby here on multiple occasions - mostly due to the fact that her primary at Complete Care for Kids is useless - and I have never had a bad experience here. The staff has always been kind, and courteous. The Doctors/Nurses really listen to you, and my daughter has loved everyone she's seen so far at this clinic. You can really tell they love what they do, because they seem to really connect with their patients. I wish I could give them higher than 5 stars, because these people are amazing! read more

The waits are insanely long for kids. When you call ahead and ask the front desk always says no wait and there is no one in the waiting room. Then 10 minutes later when you arrive we were told by the very unfriendly front desk person there's a 45 minute. We actually waited 90 minutes just to get called back to a room to wait more. Seriously really poor office experience, especially for young kids who don't feel well. There is certainly nothing 'urgent' about their services. It's really unacceptable. If I could give less than one star for the care and lack of consideration I would. read more

This is by far the best Pediatric Urgent care facility and we are so happy it is right in our neighborhood! Our daughter was seen here twice and we couldn't of been more happier with the service we received. The front desk staff is extremely friendly. I can not say enough about the nurses and doctors here. They all come with a smile! The center is kid-friendly and clean. Each room is perfectly decorated! Our dautghter loved her visits and wasn't afraid of "seeing the doctor" :) Hoping we don't visit as much...lol, but happy to know that PM Pediatrics is right down the street!!! Making an appointment here does not seem to make a difference in wait time. The location is convenient and staff are caring. My daughter was given a choice if she wanted a "post surgical shoe" and I asked if they could check to see if insurance would cover it. They did not check, insisting that insurance always covers it. Four months later I just got a bill for that shoe. read more

They are honestly so amazing! The check in process was so easily, and we didn't wait much to be taken to the back. First, the nurse who attended us yesterday was amazing. My daughter started coughing a lot, and the nurse assisted us, and gave us advice on what position to hold her best while she coughs. The nurse was so kind and caring!! Then, once the Nurse Practitioner came in she listened to all our concerns, and answered all our questions. She throughly examined our daughter and explained everything in detail. Beware. Overconfident and arrogant doctor (Dr Shoaga.) I brought my three year old in who had a history of viral infection that had developed respiratory signs and excessive tiredness over last two days. Her respiratory rate was increased with increased effort (you could see her abdomen pulling for air through her shirt). Her spo2 was taken a number of times using two machines because it was consistently reading at 93, there was one reading at 89 percent and one reading at 96 percent, but probably 7 or so readings at 92,93 percent. On the vitals sheet, the nurse wrote her spo2 was 96 percent - which is considered normal, but in this case, like 89 percent, was the outlier value and not a true reflection of her low spo2 and inadequate oxygenation. The doctor did her exam, felt her lungs were clear and her rate was normal and informed me the spo2 was also normal. I told her to retake the spo2, where she also got 93 on multiple readings. Even after realizing the spo2 was actually low, she told me the exam was normal and her physical exam was the most important part. She mentioned atleast 3 times that her exam assessment took priority to diagnostics (vitals like spo2.) She mentioned catheterizing her to collect urine to rule out a UTI, due to the days of fever, completely ignoring the fact that the presenting problem was nothing to do with her (normal) urination or the fever, but more so about my concern she had developed something underlying (like pneumonia) due to her symptoms of exhaustion and worsening cough. I said- can we do X-rays? She said we could, but again continued to tell me that her exam was the most important and she felt my daughter was fine. X-rays we're done and showed a multiofocal pneumonia, which was no surprise to me. We were sent with a prescription for antibiotics and that was it. My daughter continued to look bad with increased respiratory rate and effort after the appointment, so I basically went right to the ER after her appointment because I felt that should have been the guidance I received rather than REPEATEDLY telling me that the doctor's exam showed no abnormalities- even with ABNORMAL VITALS. I asked the doctor how do you explain a spo2 of 93 percent without anything else going on, and she could not give me an answer that would support her decision to dismiss us after she did her physical exam. I had to ASK for X-rays. If I had not, my daughter would have been sent home with nothing. At the ER she was immediately admitted, put on IV fluids, IV antibiotics, and received multiple breathing treatments, received bloodwork, and X-rays were repeated confirming bilateral pneumonia. The doctor there said she had significant diminished lung sounds on the right on his exam. The ER dr kept lifting her shirt to asses how much effort was going into her breathing, which NEVER happened at the PM ped appt. I am a doctor, and I believe that the spo2 being recorded inaccurately at 96 percent to reflect a normal value when the majority of readings were abnormal could be considered malpractice. The complete dismissal of hard evidence of decreased oxygenation once the doctor repeated the spo2 herself and the obvious increased respiratory rate and effort showcased during her exam, leaves me appalled and disheartened that someone would send a toddler out the door. I should not have to advocate this much for my child who is so clearly ill that she was hospitalized right after the appointment. read more

Only negative was no child play area in the waiting room. We've only had positive experiences at PM Pediatrics. We had a very specific issue with a toddler's GI system and it was very stressful for us but the folks here made it as easy as they could. Billing stuff could probably be improved but the staff were very nice and the doctors/nurses very helpful. read more

I have visited this location on several occasions (3 small children at home). I really appreciate how conveniently located they are to my home, in addition to their hours of operation. My primary care is extremely difficult to get same day appointments with and PM Pediatrics is a much less jarring experience for a child than going to the ER. The office is always spotless and the staff I've had encounters with are always pleasant. On my most recent visit I utilized the online registration and check-in and liked it. However, I would have appreciated knowing what the actual wait time was. I booked a 1pm appointment and was told on the app there were still 7 people ahead of me, I didn't think much at first assuming there was more than one doctor on duty. Unfortunately at check-in with the front desk I was told it was at least an hour wait and if I wanted to wait in the waiting room or in my car (it was a 90+ degree day). I've worked in the medical field and know doctors can run behind but I thought that was a bit much and to mention it as an aside was an unpleasant surprise. The front desk did suggest another location that might not be as busy and was once again very nice but when you have a sick child every minute truly counts. I will book here again but with a note to self to call ahead and see what the schedule is like. read more

This clinic offer the service of the most professionals and kindest people on earth. We couldn't have had a better healthcare experience at midnight, on a Sunday. My son was so sick with a flu, they took care of him with so much attention, patient, care and compassion. Although my son was so sick we had pleasant experience with this place. kid friendly decor, doctors that really care about their patients and making sure that you receive quality care. They even call you the next day to make sure you are feeling better, the wonderful doctor called me three times. I hope we will never have to use urgent care, but being realistic I know we probably will and for sure we will use this clinic. The best! thank you for taking such a loving care of my boy. I took my 13 month old daughter to be seen at this location. The doctor was horrible. I took my daughter there to be seen. My daughter has been sick with 3 illnesses in the pass month. I told them everything that was going on they listen to her lungs and she don't me she and bronchiolitis. For those who don't know what bronchiolitis is it is a common chest infection that affects babies and children under 2. It's usually mild and can be treated at home, but it can be serious. Bronchiolitis is different from bronchitis, which causes a cough with lots of mucus and can affect people of all ages. It is a common symptom of RSV. I asked the doctor why wasn't a test done she told me that the test was not needed. Now I'm not at doctor and I don't know much about medical stuff but I would think I test should be done. As a first time mother I had my questions when asking her what can I do what should I do to help my 13 month old. She seemed annoyed. I know exactly where I won't be going back I rather drive to laurel or take her to the emergency room. read more

Unfortunately, I have 2 dare-devil children and have had to visit PM Pedi on multiple occasions. They are always quick to get you triaged and seen, offer popsicles and cartoons to distract the kiddos, and the staff is helpful and kind to my kids. They have done stitches on one child, x-ray and splinted another, treated a severe head/neck injury, all with grace and a smile, which just makes you feel comfortable. My kids aren't huge fans of doctors but we've never had any issues when them being scared here. I would absolutely come here first, before going to the ER with my kids. read more

Dr. Suggs and staff were very professional. Observed all staff cleaning their hands before and after touching my child. The waiting room and patient rooms were impeccably clean. All staff have experience in pediatrics and emergency medicine. Our network pharmacy was closed for the night and PM was able to dispense meds. Will definitely make this our go to urgent care center. Took my son in for high fever and he was discharged with having hand and foot virus which I found odd because I don't see the signs. The doctor said it's not strep but didn't test for strep. The next day I took him in to see his primary care physician which confirmed my doubts because she herself didn't see signs of hand and foot virus but she tested him for strep which it came back positive. read more

Our 5 months old daughter was recovering from RSV infection. Our pediatrician said that she might develop an ear infection so I was alert. When our baby started to cry inconsolably it was too late to get her into our pediatrician office because it was Saturday after 12 PM. We brought her to PM pediatrics. Dr. Choi checked her ears and throat and said that everything looks good. She could not find the reason why our baby was crying non-stop so she suggested to give her Tylenol and see what happens. So 1,5 hours later after Tylenol, she was still crying and Dr. Choi said that she can't help us and that our baby needs more extensive lab work and we have to go to Shady Grove Pediatric Emergency Department. So we drove there and Dr. took a look in her ears and said that ears are fool of wax and he can't see anything so he put special drops to make ear wax soft and then cleaned them. Her right ear was inflamed and there was a pus behind the eardrum. The solution was easy - some more Tylenol and antibiotics. So my point is that Dr. Choi is a very nice and attentive doctor but she is absolutely useless in a situation like ours. Waste of time and money. read more
