Although the serving size was HUGE, I was not a bit fan of the dish. Note, I didn't think the dish was prepared badly, I just didn't get the concept of the fried grits (this from a grits lover); however, everything else with the dish was pretty good. If you are a Bloody Mary lover, you might some interesting varieties of Bloody Marys here. Additionally, I really appreciated that The Egg Bistro ranks the Bloody Marys based on spice level. The food looked really good and hot when it came out. I don't normally do a waffle, but that waffle was really good. I only put butter on it as I didn't want to add even more sugar to the meal already. The bacon was nice and crispy as requested. I wasn't sure how the Cheese Grits would be, but they were surprisingly good. The last item I had was the Fried Biscuit. Wow that one was a highlight for sure, though I won't do that one too often. My mom said the entree she had was good too and there were no issues. Overall, this was a good visit. I would give it 3.5 stars but rounding to 4 in this case due to the great food. The biggest negatives were the noise levels, as it was hard to talk to anyone there, and they automatically add an 18% tip for all transactions, regardless of party size. Given the circumstances, the service was good too. I will come back in the future, but maybe not on a weekend or around a holiday where it gets busier than normal.
