You will require this, as well as the outdoor bar and large outdoor seating area, because it is likely that you will be waiting before you have the opportunity to be seated and take advantage of the food offerings. With the parking out-of-the-way, and your expectation that you will be waiting about the length of a feature film behind you during busy periods, let's get to the food. There is a straightforward charm, and there are biscuits, but the value add really isn't there for the amount of time investment and at the price point. Service is workmanlike and pleasant, seating is tight as you might imagine. To be fair, there is some creativity in the dish naming and drink presentation. Taken on its own merits, I would rate it as a three out of five. Finally got to stop in while we had friends in from out of town. The wait is usually pretty long- but there is a reason for that. Some of the BEST breakfast food in Virginia. While we had to wait about 30 minutes for our table, they have a lot of great outdoor seating options , including board games to play while you wait and an outdoor bar to enjoy a yummy drink while you wait for your table. But on this time we went on a weekday and got seated pretty much immediately. Side note they have valet parking which is clutch. Any who after we got seated we were greeted by our waitress with water and offered us drinks. My friends had mimosa's but I was the designated driver and didn't drink that day. This place is my absolutely FAVORITE and a must visit during my trips to Sandbridge. The ambiance is incredible and has the coziest vibe. I particularly love the outdoor seating by the garden. I think The Bee needs to find a new hive. The food is good but not great as the hype would lead you to believe. I can certainly understand for a large party but we were only four people. This was not a cheap endeavor, $180 for four people...wowzers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance sucked. We sat on a porch in the heat and humidity, jammed in amongst everyone else...it was tight![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers flew in and flew by. Again, they are doing the best they can with the exhaustive conditions. No one smiled, they just satiated folks and moved them along at the amusement park. From the moment the valet approached us, we were hustled along the process. The Bee is making a mint at the expense of the patrons. We won't be returning and it's okay they won't miss us. So we went on a Tuesday. No reservation, got right in. This might have been an indication a to this review. We sat down and ordered coffee and soda it came out quick. Another indicator. I totally understand turnover and speed but there wasn't anyone waiting for a table. We were done in less than thirty minutes for a 65$ breakfast. That was delicious but I wanted to slow way down and enjoy it but felt rushed by the speed. Now to the food. The biscuit basket was delicious. One was a cinnamon flavored thing the other was an orange flavored thing. Wow very delicious. My wife ordered pancakes eggs and bacon. All very delicious very wonderful.
