Alright people here's the run down, it was 20 minute drive from where I am, it's in Pungo Virginia Beach so get ready for a trip. Once arrived you'll be greeted by the valet homies! Get yourself a drink from my guy at the side bar bc it will be at least an hour wait. I'm down for that tho because the ambiance and outdoorzy garden area is always chill for sun vibes and photos. Once you're seated that wait time will be well worth it bc everything on the menu is A1 but those Pungonian Shrimp & Grits!..... My God! An banger every time no questions. This restaurant is probably one of my favorite breakfast spots in the Virginia Beach area. It's a small, quaint, and cozy venue tucked away in Pungo that has a welcoming, hometown feel. I highly recommend trying the cinnamon roll. It's served warm, loaded with sweet glaze, and is large enough to share with up to four people. We also ordered the biscuits with sausage gravy and a chorizo omelette, substituting the goat cheese for cheddar. Both dishes were outstanding and offered great value for the price. The wait can be long, especially on weekends, but the experience while waiting actually adds to the charm. There's an outdoor bar with plenty of drinks to choose from, covered patios for relaxing, and even board games to enjoy while you wait for your table. The service was excellent from start to finish. I have been wanting to patron The Bee & the Biscuit for TWO YEARS. I literally live one stop light away, but every time I would try the wait was ridiculous. But on this time we went on a weekday and got seated pretty much immediately. Side note they have valet parking which is clutch. Any who after we got seated we were greeted by our waitress with water and offered us drinks. My friends had mimosa's but I was the designated driver and didn't drink that day. Their drinks looked delicious though. The menu has a lot to offer at a reasonable price. My food was pure perfection, all of our food was. And they give you plenty on your plate so I had enough to take home. I have a special day coming up in 2027 and I am seriously considering inquiring renting this place out for a private brunch event. They were so warm, soft, and perfect with the jam and local honey butter they make in house. Seriously, so good. I kept my coffee simple with a cappuccino (added whipped cream for fun), which was exactly what I wanted on a rainy morning. For food, I went with the hippy breakfast burrito. Black beans, corn, tomatoes, avocado, potatoes, all wrapped up in a wrap and served with a tangy cilantro lime vinaigrette and fresh fruit. This place is my absolutely FAVORITE and a must visit during my trips to Sandbridge. The ambiance is incredible and has the coziest vibe. I particularly love the outdoor seating by the garden. I've never had a bad thing here and everything is so delicious. My most recent meal was the Farmstand omelet with a side of cheesy grits. But the real MVP was my oat milk latte! I usually will share my coffee with my husband but I told him to keep his hands off this one. Simply delicious and perfectly balanced. They were pretty accurate with the timing of when we'd be seated. I ordered the breakfast tostada. My sister ordered a cinnamon roll for the table. The roll was delicious! So warm and gooey. The tostada was good too. When I think of tostadas though I think of a handheld treat. There was no way I was going to be able to pick it up LOL. First time to B&B this past Friday for breakfast with a gal pal! Finally got to try this place in the off season (we won't come in the summer. Way too long of a wait). Highly recommend getting there right when they open. The complementary valet is a wonderful touch! We were immediately offered seating at the bar, which I found a little odd, considering they had spots on the covered porch. I asked for us to be seated on the porch and that was accommodated. We did have to move tables because, even if the porch was heated, there was still a draft on the lower part of the porch. They were kind about it. We started with lattes which were quite good and a generous portion! It was $2 off because we arrived before 8:30; lovely. I had the little farm truck for breakfast and my friend had some kind of Benedict with a biscuit and gravy on top. I tried hers and it was also delicious! I got my husband a cinnamon roll to go and that was probably one of the best cinn. rolls I've ever tasted. Yum! It's massive. Service was very good from our waitress on the porch. So we went on a Tuesday. No reservation, got right in. This might have been an indication a to this review. We sat down and ordered coffee and soda it came out quick. Another indicator. We ordered the biscuit basket. The server was great and took our order but our food came in about ten minutes. The third indicator. I totally understand turnover and speed but there wasn't anyone waiting for a table. We were done in less than thirty minutes for a 65$ breakfast. That was delicious but I wanted to slow way down and enjoy it but felt rushed by the speed. Now to the food. The biscuit basket was delicious. One was a cinnamon flavored thing the other was an orange flavored thing. Wow very delicious. My wife ordered pancakes eggs and bacon. All very delicious very wonderful. Our waitress was great making sure we had everything. The biscuits are a must to order when you go, the most amazing thing I have ever had added with butter and jam! I had the Avocado toast and added poached eggs, it is the best Avocado toast I have ever had, toasted perfectly and the added chili flakes and the sunflower toast was tasty. We finally decided to embrace the wait and try out The Bee and the Biscuit after many of our friends recommendations. Even though there was a long wait, there are plenty of tables to sit at outside and they have multiple fire pits going to help keep your warm. There is also a bar where you can get cocktails or other drinks like coffee. The inside is pretty small and very noisy. We had a long wait for our food, and our friend's two children were getting very fussy because of it. However, once everything came out it was delicious. The cowboy Benedict was very flavorful and everything was cooked just right. Their biscuits are huge and so good. Prices seemed a little high to me, but not too far off since I at least know the biscuits are homemade. The giant cinnamon roll looked so good. We would definitely get that next time if we come back.
