There's the special sign by the door, the wall of pancake options, the other wall with specials, the orange photocopied sheet with specials and the main menu. Oh so many options that sounded so good but I was on a pancake mission. Service was immediate and my coffee and water were quickly in front of me. My awesome charm-focused waitress nudged up to me with a mile long smile plus recommendations if her favorites almost leading me to change but no I was destined to have pancakes!! Coconut and banana pancakes were my choice ... three of them The kitchen obviously knows how to do pancakes because these had all the traits of pancakes you lust for ... well not sure I was lusting for the pancakes but they were really good. Offers to refill my coffee cup were consistent so I felt well served. Coming here, all I heard about this place was how they had some of the best pancakes around. Of course, as someone who would go to great lengths for a good pancake and/or waffle, we had to make the drive out here to try it for ourselves, and boy am I glad we did. Not only was the lady who served us beyond nice and helpful, but she also helped us make up our minds on what to order and was constantly checking up on us, but never in an annoying way. As for the food, it was absolutely amazing. The portion sizes are more than good enough, and the pancakes were silky smooth and packed with huge flavors. With so many options to choose from, they definitely have a flavor for everybody. The eggs Benedict were some of the best I've ever had. The hollandaise sauce was rich, creamy, and had that perfect buttery flavor without being too heavy. The muffin the eggs came on top of was fluffy and made for the perfect pairing. The breakfast platter was also very good and came with a great selection of meats and eggs. Everything was cooked well, and there was more than enough food to leave you satisfied. There's two options here, you may dining in the small porch area outside or the small dining area inside. As it was 90 plus degrees outside, we chose to dine inside and the wait was long. The metal benches and chairs outside didn't help as it was blazing outside so we chose to stand. As we were called in and sat, the place was packed and there's not much room to move around but they make it work. Our waitress was attentive and handed us menus and took our drink orders. Upon bring our drinks see let us know about the house specials and the specialty topping for pancakes they were running currently. The menu looked like it had seen better days, it had obviously gotten wet at some point and was dried but still legible so I guess that's what matters most. We placed our orders and chatted. Looking around the establishment, it's probably more of a neighborhood spot. One thing that did catch my eye was the wall behind the bartender, it was packed with alcohol and different beers, made it easy to what the places served and draws your eyes in. Anyway, after about 25 minutes, our food was brought to us. The food, I can't speak honestly say my pancakes were good, my omelette was okay but the hash browns were too thin and overcooked to a crisp. So I recommend the pancakes if you're thinking of trying this place out and anything else you'd have to decide on your own. read more

Great place for breakfast, brunch and lunch. It gets pretty busy for breakfast and brunch, especially on the weekends. They have a full bar too! Try any of the pancakes they are super delicious. I ended up getting a Paloma to drink and a country style breakfast for my food. Overall, the food and beverage were good. If you like pancakes, they must have 20 varieties to try! They have great breakfast dishes, they are not stingy either. The coffee flows freely! You don't ask for a refill or top off, it's there! Lunch menu is top notch, the big boy special is just that, the other half is dinner tonight. The hours are 7am to 3pm. We seem to hit around 1pm and no wait. The prices have increased but the portions have not. My omelet ($16) was more like a couple of folded over eggs or a crepe. Hash browns were scant but the bacon was FINALLY crispy!! My husband had the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancakes were delicious, but again, the value is no longer there. The prices have jumped about 20% since last summer. There were multiple leaks from the ceiling!! One was right in the walking path, an accident waiting to happen; the other one was right onto the only large group table inthe restaurant. Sophia and I made the long trek from Newport News to Virginia Beach to check out this little spot. I first came across them from watching a piece on Channel 13 where they were part of the Friday Flavor segment. They opened up shop in 2020 and have been a local favorite ever since. Truly a hidden gem tucked away within a strip mall. First off, I gotta say the mason jar of water and the coffee cup were neat. You do not need a refill at all. I read that if you want to order one to take home, it cost $6. Maybe I should've done that, but I have enough glasses in the cabinet. Oh yeah....the food. I ordered one of their Summer pancake flavors: peanut butter and jelly. Also, I included a side of sausage patties and hash browns. I'm gonna use my favorite words in the Yelp dictionary: pretty damn good. The pancakes......oh my God were they delicious. You do not need any syrup nor butter to add to this bad boy. Each flapjack was cooked perfectly and full of PB&J spread. Homemade batter like this tasted even better. The sides I ordered....I didn't even touch them. They were boxed up and will be a nice little lunch. And everybody at our table enjoyed their meal. Huge thumbs up. Well, there you have it ladies and gents, a local spot that checked every box. Yum! What a great place to have breakfast at! Found this place using Yelp and the ratings did not disappoint! Service was kind and friendly! Our server made us feel right at home even being first timers. All the staff was nice that we had interactions with as well. Food was great. The food was good. The wait time was very long and the dining room was very small. They will not tell you up front how long the wait is, which is frustrating. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated. Once seated they were very quick to wait on us, and we ordered immediately as we all knew what we wanted. It then took another 30 minutes+ to receive our food order. Its been a while so its my 2nd time coming to order take out I ordered steak and eggs platter the steak to a medium rare which is lovely. The hash browns good and the scramble eggs and toast were also good the sweet tea I had was good as well. Very friendly and friendly ask or reminded me if I wanted utensils. First timers here and really liked it! It's a small, quaint and homey spot, very nice homestyle southern-industrial vibe. We were sat immediately. Their paper menu isn't all that they offer, they have a couple of chalk boards that have other meals and pancake flavors that they offer. I went with the Grilled chicken and spinach omelet, per the waitress's recommendation. I'd give it a 7/10, it was fresh and yummy but on the blander side, if it wasn't for the tabasco sauce then I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it that much. I really liked the raisin bread toast and though I normally don't like hash-browns, theirs are clearly fresh and were good with ketchup. My bf got their Steak Benny, which was good. I liked his meal more than I did mine and he ate every last bite. He rated his meal 8/10, it would've been a 10/10 if the hollandaise was on the side and if he had the option to trade the english muffins for toast. Our waitress was super nice and friendly, she clearly enjoys working there which is always nice to see. We were also offered Raspberry tea to-go which was a nice touch to our overall experience! I will say, we paid around $45 for our two meals, a coffee, and my tea so in retrospect, we'll stick to Waffle House for almost the same experience (albeit not as good customer service) for cheaper. The turkey sausage with just okay and 4.25 for just those 2 pieces, had unknown the price I probably would've gotten something different. The French toast was pretty good and I was full off 2 pieces. This was just around the corner from my location, and Yelp seemed to have a good amount of stars, so off I went. I walked in and was seated. Not crowded but it was a Monday morning...they had a lot of specialty coffees but I just wanted plain coffee with sugar. That coffee should win some type of award. No bitterness, not watered down. Not a tiny cup either. I was very good coffee! I made sure I told them that as well. Along with all the specialty coffees they had a board of nothing but pancakes with great names, like lemon blueberry pancakes, peanut butter and banana pancakes, etc but I can't eat all of that. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoy Huntley's and stop by often for breakfast since it's less than 10 minutes from my house. The staff is welcoming and even though the restaurant isn't very big, we very rarely have to wait to be seated. The restaurant has paper menus but also has some menu items on written on chalkboards on the wall, which is really cool. I absolutely love their omelets because they are always full of fresh ingredients and the egg is very thin! The pancakes also taste great and are very huge, definitely enough for two people. I haven't tried any other items other than breakfast items but Huntley's never disappoints so I'm sure the other items are just as great. read more

5 mins outside Damn Neck gate! Stopped in on Friday after work with a few friends. Was a little after 10 and it was packed. Luckily someone was leaving and there were also seats at the bar. Service and environment were very welcoming. A lot of specials in addition to the menu. Ordered the steak and eggs which came with hash browns. Also got the french toast.... Both were AMAZING! My friends opted for the Huntley's breakfast which came with egg's bacon sausage hash browns and pancakes. They were very pleased also. Of note: they had a whole list of different flavor pancakes, will be back for those! Coffee was god also. This place is a gem and the food is amazing. They have a full bar so perfect for brunch.
