During the procedure, the border of my left upper lip was accidentally scraped. When I first asked about it, I was told it might be swelling or bruising, but later it was acknowledged that it may have happened accidentally during the procedure. I also requested lip mapping before the procedure, but was told it was not necessary. Because of these issues and the overall experience, I no longer feel comfortable returning for additional procedures or corrections. For this reason, I would like to request a refund for the service. I hope we can resolve this matter professionally. -------------------------------------------- I had a lip blush procedure done at this studio and it was a very disappointing experience. After the procedure, my upper lip shape turned out uneven. During the process, the artist accidentally scraped the border line of my left upper lip, which affected the outline. As a result, my lip now looks like lipstick has been drawn outside of my original lip border line. When I brought this up, the artist said it was caused by the ink and that it would go away after healing, and asked me to follow up after the healing process. However, lip blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure and requires a very high level of precision, especially along the lip border. Because of this experience and the current result, I no longer feel comfortable trusting this artist or returning for a touch-up. This has been very upsetting and I regret choosing this studio. I had to ask for multiple reapplications of the numbing cream, and to be honest, I wish I had found Salin sooner. I had been looking to get eyeliner done because as I age and can no longer see clear up close (don't get me started with trying to put on eyeliner with reading glasses), my eyeliner just looks horrible. After following Salin's page, I decided to go for it. I developed allergies to magnetic eyeliners since I was wearing magnetic lashes, and I needed to do something about my appearance. I made an appointment and drove an hour out to see her. My best advice is to arrive early because of traffic. Yes, you do have to pay before the procedure. The price is adjusted depending on the shape you want. I didn't mind that. I understood that this was a business, and who knows, maybe she got scammed before. Anyway, I was willing to pay extra because I have hooded eyes, and like I mentioned before, I have difficulty putting on eyeliner. Being Asian, my eyes are hooded and small, and I have no eyelid crease. So I have a different problem entirely. We spent a good 30 minutes getting the shape right. I wasn't picky about the shape because she is a professional, and after seeing photos of her work, I trusted her judgment and told her to do what she felt was best. We changed shapes twice, and honestly, I am glad she did. The first drawn in line was ok. However, when my eyes were open, you couldn't see them. She changed it to a different style I have never seen before and WOW! My eyes look way better! I don't look so tired! I will also add that I felt no pain! So much that I fell asleep, and she said I was snoring a little! :) Anyways, the procedure from the time I arrived to the time I left was around 3 hours long. Salin is truly worth it. I will return to her to fix my lip blush. Also, keep in mind. Not many permanent makeup artists work on the eyelid. She is truly a master. For those commenting on thick eyeliner, it is worth it for people with hooded eyes like me. If you had big eyes with an eyelid crease, you may not need it. But for someone with eyelids like mine... I washed my face but made sure not to wet my eyebrows as instructed. I understand that I was provided aftercare instructions by email and paper instructions would've been helpful as well and I wasn't aware that by the third day my eyebrows could be wet, I was under the impression that you have to wait for your eyebrows to be completely healed. Meaning wait for the scabs to fall off. That's why I was careful not to wet them. However, I don't feel that this explains or justifies the final outcome of my eyebrows. I did have an allergic reaction during the healing process, but now that my eyebrows are completely healed, there are still no visible hair-like strokes from the nano brows. My eyebrows honestly look as though nothing was done, which is very disappointing considering the price I paid. I also understand that one side of my face may have been more relaxed than the other, but I still feel that shouldn't have resulted in such a noticeably uneven arch. I did my research beforehand because I was told I would be in good hands, and I trusted that I would receive a natural, hair-like result. Looking back, I probably should have researched other artists more carefully, even if it meant paying more, because I may have had a different outcome.
