I met friend here after week last week. I had no clue this place even existed until my friend…read moresuggested it. I like that they menu is labeled for peanuts and gluten. They also have a big menu for drinks at a pretty reasonable price. I was surprised about how many people were there for an early dinner on a Thursday, must be a popular local spot! We had the smashed fingerling potatoes, it was pretty delicious and I liked the ranch that came with it. There was a lot of toppings on top too! For my main, I got the seafood risotto. It had shrimps and bay scallops. It had a generous amount of seafood in it. By then I was full but they had good sounding desert, including a GF Bundt cake! I wish I had saved some space for it. For my drinks, I had one of their speciality mules: Maggie's mule. It was kind of too sweet for me.

And served piping hot and stayed hot (how do they do that?). Drinks: good but nothing special. Great selection of local tap beers, local spirits left a lot to be desired. Two vodka options and neither are worth drinking. I didn't bother looking at whiskey as PA doesn't have any worth anything. Service: absolutely terrible. Sat for 15 minutes with no attention. Finally had to flag down the host and it still took another 5 minutes. Complete amateur servers. Never checked back after meals served and server spent all her time socializing with other employees at the entrance. No management on site it appears - it shows!

My food came out perfect and Melissa kept me entertained with some conversation and even recommended some items for me to try next time that I wasn't aware chick fil a had. The service has consistently been with a smile despite my arriving usually right before breakfast cut off which is a busier time switching menu items. On one visit we ordered 2 Egg White Grill Sandwiches and and neither sandwich had eggs on them, other times there has been only food items in the bag and no sauces as ordered, no straw for drinks, no napkins, etc. We completed the form online to make the location aware to hopefully make improvements and have not been contacted. I'll continue to utilize this location as the food has been consistent, the location is ideal, and while it's not the most efficient it has been speedy enough and I go with knowing I may have to wait a few moments for my order regardless if using the mobile order line. - I have also gotten in the routine of checking my order before leaving the drive thru line to be sure we got everything I ordered, so apologies to anyone behind me! :)

Maybe a little pricey compared to the surrounding area but quality comes at a cost. My experience was far from good but my husband was quite happy with his meal. This is truly cafeteria-style eating - stand in line and in your way forward to get a tray and move down the line of food options. I seriously didn't see anyone my age (56) or younger. The hubby who is 62 is familiar with this place as he grew up in Steubenville. We tried to come here for lunch previously after a funeral nearby - but it was closed that day = maybe Monday. Yes, I'm a somewhat finicky eater - only healthy foods. My current focus is protein and fiber. I was looking for a protein and veg - that's all. They had a stuffed chicken but I assumed it was stuffed with carbs so I passed on it. I inquired further and they finally suggested a broiled white fish. Fine. For a veg, they had green beans. BIG MISTAKE selecting those. That was all I got. Nothing else looked appetizing (nor did the green beans when I saw them). Hubby got a roll, pie, cabbage roll, mashed potatoes and deviled eggs. He was quite pleased with his food. Honestly, it didn't look that bad and I give them the assumption that they may excel at baked goods/pie. The meringue did look very well done. He went on to eat every bite. I did not. The fish was OK - a very mild white fish which was not too greasy and did flake with the touch of a fork. I ate it. The green beans were definitely from a can - and possibly very old. They had no vegetable taste and just tasted yucky - not a flavor I can describe. I did not eat them after that one and only bite. I would have appreciated a better selection of entrees and sides. Perhaps they are aiming at comfort food, but I'm just not sure. Having been to an MCL Cafeteria in Columbus decades ago, I recall it being a level above this place. They were maybe a little better than average but below a regular sit down restaurant. On the same level of the old Hometown Buffets. This place did not meet that standard. I'm hopeful not to return - but if we do, I think I'll ask to see what I'm being served being agreed to get it. Having done so this time would have saved me from the green beans and allowed me to forego a side altogether or probe further for other healthy options.
