This was the worst meal EVER! we couldn't even finish it.... I have never had to throw away anything from there, until today.... Barely eatable..... The service by Brandon G was AMAZING. Super friendly and he went above and beyond. When I said the wedding soup was meh, he offered to replace it with something else, but I said it was fine. Not bad. Still edible. Later, when he asked about the manicotti & I said it was amazing, he asked if it was better than the soup. I said it was much much better and that I knew next time I visited I'd get the Caesar salad instead of the soup. He said he'd bring one to go, since their Caesar dressing is amazing. I said that wasn't necessary, but he brought one anyway. Wow. Portions are very large (without the extra salad, my manicotti would still be three meals for me) & the food is delicious. I like the look of the restaurant and was surprised to see that they had TV's & a bar. Much nicer than I expected given the location. read more

Had a real difficult time finding the location as I'm not a local. Followed Google and Apple Maps both and they both brought me to a Sherwin-Williams paint store with a little pizzeria on one side, a curry place on the other and an ice cream and Subway joint at the end but no signage whatsoever for this restaurant. I finally just called right before they opened and the one that answer the phone, quite frankly, was incredibly rude. I explained that I was not from the area and where I was sitting and she barked "we don't really have a sign! Just park and walk around you'll find it."... when I try to explain to her that I'm in a walking cast could she just let me know which business she was closest to? She snapped back." we're only doing takeout today anyway." At that point, I figured if she was gonna be about as friendly as a rattlesnake then I was not going to give them my business. I have no clue what their food taste like, but their service is beyond awful. read more

I am so excited Armstrongs is back for in person dining! We went on a Friday night and loved everything we had! We started with the complimentary bread, a zucchini appetizer and soups with our dinners. I had blackened chicken penne alla vodka...it was huge even though I ordered the smaller size. I wouldn't call it an Italian restaurant. American upscale diner with huge portions! I love that they offer the lunch portions all day. We sat at the bar (no alcohol but it's BYOB) and the service was great. Gotta get the Italian wedding soup. It's a must! read more

I was charged $25 for a bowl of soup and a club sandwich. Also, I hurt my back and can barely stand and I didn't appreciate the hostess snubbing me because I was wearing my pajamas. Ate here recently for dinner and our party of 4 disliked literally everything we ordered, from the apps to the entrees. A couple of us were really excited to try the chicken parm, but we were quickly disappointed by the lack of flavor (very, very bland) and how thick the pieces of chicken were. Our server was very attentive when we first arrived, but as our meal went on, she was no where to be found for drink refills, to check in, etc. In fact, we had to wait a good 20 minutes after we were finished eating for her to appear so we could ask for the check. Choosing to eat here ended up being a regret and waste of money. We spent over $100 for a meal that I honestly could have done a better job cooking at home...and I'm not even that great of a cook! We went to Armstrong's today at 11:45 am for lunch. I was with 6 people, 1 being my handicapped father. My aunt and children came in first. Upon entering the restaurant, my aunt was rudely informed that the 6 of us couldn't sit together; the only thing we could do was sit in two booths across from one another. When I got into the restaurant with my dad, who happened to be the former owner of the Primadonna Restaurant, a little while later, I asked if it would be possible to get a table instead, to which they said, "There are no tables in the dining room." I was expecting there to be a packed house of customers in the dining room- once again, wrong! There were people, but they were far from full. When we went into the dining room, not only were there two tables right next to one another that we passed, but they also seated us in the booths the farthest walk away from the entrance, which made things very challenging for my father with severe mobility issues. When we got to the booth, my dad wasn't able to get into the booth due to limitations. I went and got a chair and put it at the end of the table, and was chased and screamed at by a server who said, "What do you think you are doing? You are going to get us fined by the fire marshal? You can't do this." To which I replied, "I am sorry, I can't get my father into this booth. I see that there are two tables in the dining room together. Can we please sit there instead?" Matter of factly, she stated, "That is not possible. There is another 6 top next to those tables so the fire marshal wouldn't be too happy about this. You can't sit here. You need to go back to the booths." I said, "You have left us no choice but to leave." The workers didn't even bat an eye. They just kept saying it is the fire marshal. Being in the restaurant business all our lives, we have honestly NEVER seen or heard anything this absurd. Hence, my question is this, "Are you in the fire marshal business or are you in the restaurant business? Or, do you just not want to serve disabled people?" Asking for a friend. read more

Went to Armstrong's yesterday with my daughter for an early dinner. At first look, the ambiance was a little austere and unremarkable as some people have mentioned. Our server was very attentive and sweet and we enjoyed our food (I got a caprese salad which was fresh and the wedding soup, which was very salty). She ordered the kids fettuccine alfredo with chicken and it was delicious. We ordered off of the "smaller fares" menu and the portions were still pretty large but I thought a little overpriced. FOX News was playing at the bar- not loud or anything, but in my opinion it isn't a good look for a restaurant and I don't need to know about the owner's/staff's political affiliations. Leave the news off and play some nice music instead. read more

The worst wings ever. So small I would be ashamed to serve them let alone charge for a dozen. $18.00!!!! Our other food was good but the wings were a rip off. We've gone to Armstrongs in Caste Village for decades but went to this one on the way from the airport. It was delicious! It's hard to find fried zucchini that isnt batter dipped and greasy and theirs was the bomb! I had the chicken Marsala and leftovers for days. Our waitress was so attentive and good - even though she was hustling and busy the whole time. Just be aware they don't have a liquor license at this location. read more

It was a weird vibe. My husband and I saw the bar and asked if we could sit there to one of the servers and they said "yes". So we sat down and about 5 minutes in the host came up to us and asked us if we had checked in for a table. We apologized profusely and said that we didn't realize one waited for a seat at the bar since this is usually not the case at most restaurants. She told us that it was fine this time since "none of the people waiting wanted to sit at the bar". So we felt like complete jerks the entire time we were there, even though we did nothing wrong. Oh, did I mention they don't have a liquor license either, making the whole "sitting at the bar" even more awkward. When we left the same host glared at us, just reaffirming that we wouldn't be back. At any rate, the food was incredibly average. If you like to come out to eat to get a huge portion of food, I am sure this could be a good option for you. But honestly the food we took home ended up being thrown away because it just wasn't appealing to reheat. read more

We were trying a new Trinidad Resturant (tasty and different) and my wife needed some assurance meals as backup incase she didn't like my panapoly selections with some of her favorites... pizza boats, fried artichoke hammers and crab stuffed mushrooms. Needless to say we have!'t ordered from here except when the 80 yr old in-laws are back to Moon, but I was greatly disappointed: firstly the Pizza Boat: delicious,sort of what you can get at Walmart in the freezer section, with pretty decent sauce and cheese- hard to mess up but utterly forgettable. The next unmentionable saturated and skimpy portions that frankly have no seasoning and are bland and tasteless and they didn't even include a zesty garlic aioli which would have helpednstomach these grease bombs for 12.59!! 4 hearts cut into 12 and drenched in flavorless bread crumbs?! Not ordering that again.... Know the final travesty: crab stuffed mushrooms for $15!! The crab was dry, lacked seasoning and the bread held it together but it separated from the mushroom cap that had a puddle of wine in the base. Slathered with plain butter not even garlic butter! Needless to say, it was real or great imaitstion, but the alcohol of the wine in the base of the mushroom made the mushroom bitter and unpleasant to to eat because it separates so easily from the ball. Again, no tasty side sauce, and only an order of 6 medium sized caps.. which didn't even fill up the to-go container. So for $40.00 I have pizza bread from Walmart, unidentified pedals of greased artichoke, and crab balls with wine spiked mushroom caps. I won't willingly be back to try anything else though to be honest their BLT turkey club has been delicious but that's all I would order from this place because I can make almost every receipt at 2x the quality for the same price or less at home. Perhaps when they finish renovations they could look to renovate the menu or improve the take out quality. There isn't just anything I see that I cannot get somewhere else, so that's where my dollar is going when I want good Italian food. Thanks! read more

Was shocked at the new decor. Cold and sterile. As was the receptionist. Great waitress. My 5 shrimp in the Ceasar shrimp salad had no seasoning. No dark greens and an excess of croutons. Bland like decor. Others ordered baked ziti and meatballs with spaghetti and could not give higher than 3 stars. Didn't meet "Italian" flavors. 1 pm. on a Sunday. read more

Honestly it used to be a place we enjoyed. The quality of the food and taste has gone downhill. Four of us ate dinner and had the manicotti which was salty and the chicken Romano was just okay. The arancini were tasteless and seemed to be a frozen appetizer not homemade. We were very disappointed and said we would not return because we previously liked it there. read more

I am very hopeful for this location to reopen for dine in service, as I always felt as though their food tasted best and freshest in the restaurant. We have gotten take out multiple times since they have been take out only, and the portions are always plentiful. Tonight we got a house and caesar salad, I love their garlicky caesar dressing and they load up the salad with thick parm shavings! We also had the chicken parm, which is usually our go to! From what I remmeber, the food was very good. I do think the drink menu could expand a little more. But other than that it was great!

We used to eat here or get takeout at least twice a month. But after they finally reopened after the remodel we've had average food and subpar experiences. Mainly that they don't want to seat a party of more than 4 and now they won't let you get any kids meals via takeout. I think they were happier just doing takeout and now they are bothered by dine-in. As a business owner myself, I can say it must be nice to be making enough money to chase people away. Service is important, we won't be returning. read more

Loved Armstrong's before the pandemic. Eat in was great- loyal servers and large portions of high quality food in a clean dine in area. Got take out twice since then (they no longer offer dine in) - quality of food has gone down and prices have gone way up (much too high for having to take home and reheat). Also, take out food not always prepared and/or packed well- have had soggy sandwiches. No longer recommend this long time favorite restaurant. read more

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Moon Township. We have been going to Armstrong's many years now, and I can honestly say that I've never been disappointed! Tonight, I had the "meatball casserole," which was fettuccine noodles, meatballs, and mozzarella cheese baked deep dish style. As my side, I chose their homemade wedding soup. I had so much food I ended up taking half of it home! Their wedding soup is to die for!! It had homemade meatball and tender chicken in it! Their meatball casserole was delicious as well- you can tell they use fresh ingredients! My fiancé got the French dip sandwich with gravy and he devoured it, so needless to say he was more than pleased with his choice! We were stuffed at the end, but still ended up ordering a slice of banana chocolate pie to take home... and it was AMAZING! It was a banana cream pie with fresh chunks of banana and a fudge swirl! Usually, we order takeout, which isn't a bad option either! When we order takeout, we usually stick with the chicken sandwiches, which (unsurprisingly) are huge and delicious! Also, Armstrong's has a BYOB policy and does not charge any type of "corkage fee". I would recommend Armstrong's to anyone! read more
