This place is right down the street from my house and we finally decided to try it. It was very good. The people that worked there are very friendly and helpful and they have an extensive menu. I had the enchiladas with the mole sauce and it was delicious. My wife got the burrito with the Carnitas and she enjoyed it. The queso was also very good. I like that they had a bar. I could have a beer while I waited for my food. I will definitely be back because this was solid Mexican food. read more

Poblanos is located in a shopping center on the outer edges of Winchester, making it convenient to get to with easier parking compared to downtown spots. The setting is practical and accessible, especially if you're already on that side of town. Walking in, it felt more like a hometown bar than a traditional Mexican restaurant. There were locals gathered around the bar, giving it that neighborhood hangout vibe. That can definitely be appealing if you enjoy a laid back, regulars type atmosphere. It feels casual and familiar rather than upscale. The cleanliness fell somewhere in the middle. It wasn't dirty, but it didn't feel especially polished or refreshed either more worn in than crisp. One downside right away: no complimentary chips and salsa, which is always a bit of a bummer and something many people expect when sitting down at a Mexican restaurant. As for the food, it unfortunately wasn't anything standout. Being upfront, the burrito was probably my least favorite. It didn't have much flavor and didn't leave a strong impression compared to other local spots. We have eaten here 3 total times. The first time, the food was great and we ordered take out. We had the beef taco salad and burria tacos. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the following weekend. The crazy thing was that neither entree was the same as the fist time! The salad and different ingredients and the tacos were not tasty. We ordered queso and were turned off by the finding of a carrot end in the bowl. We decided to give it a third try.... we ordered take out and all 3 entrees were terrible (not bad - terrible). First time ordering, I was just craving a veggie quesadilla and wanted to see if their wings were any better than Anthony's which are so small. (Same size, no bigger). While the veggies are seasoned deliciously, I wasn't expecting carrots, broccoli and snap peas in it so will go for a different menu option next time (was hoping for maybe just onions, green pepper, mushroom etc in a quesadilla). The food here is amazing. The staff though leaves a lot to be desired. I've come here many times and whenever I've come to the counter to get a table or pickup an online order there have been occasions where the staff haven't acknowledged me for 10+ minutes before I'll be able to pick up my order. And if I go to a staff member to request help I am simply brushed off. Overall food is great and staff needs work. read more

Went here for dinner this past weekend, I had three flour taco with steak and my friend had the birria tacos. I love the tacos here so I had a good time, the service was good the waitress was really polite but it did seem like we were being rushed out the door. We did show up a half hour before they close, there were definitely rushing vibes and my friend wasn't happy with her meal even though mine was just fine. I've wanted to try this restaurant since they opened and since I just celebrated my 10 year wedding anniversary I decided why not. Service was excellent. The whole layout and the vibe was really nice and relaxing. Now to the food. Starting from beginning to finish the food and drinks were amazing. Those Birria tacos were AMAZING!!! They also have a Birria ramen and Birria pizza. I'm going back to try those. The chicken enchiladas was delicious and so was the rice and beans. New Mexican Bar and Grill east side of town. We were greeted by the manager/owner as we entered and were promptly seated. The have a few booths and the rest are tables. The decor is upscale with a mexican festive flair. The server arrived and took our drink orders. The have a full bar so beer, wine , tequila and Pablano speciality drinks. We order margaritas and a Giant 32 oz beer! Also ordered chips and salsa.(not complementary) , the chips were light and crispy and salsa delicious. The menu is quite large with lots of specialty dishes. Everything seems homemade. We had the enchiladas with red mole sauce and tacos. Super flavorful. Portion sizes are large, so be hungry!! Service was great and the staff friendly. They also offer mexican desserts, ice cream, flan and churros. Nice atmosphere and great food.Stop by and check them out !! We will be back. Poblano's has become a weeknight favorite. Their home made Mole sauce is amazing! I highly recommend the Chimichanga (and ask for the mole sauce). They also serve great margaritas! Furthermore, the owners are incredibly kind, as well. You can't leave here without feeling great about yourself and your community. As a little something unique, try the thai-mexican fusion dishes. For example, you can have El Pastor (an authentic Mexican pork flavored dish) Pad Thai. It's surreal. read more

The food here is exceptional. I've been here 3 or 4 times. It's consistently good. The tacos barria are the best! I wish the basket of chips and salsa were free as they are most other places. The only complaint is the service. We've always had to wait a long time for drinks, and ordering...tends to detract from the experience. This is a great local Mexican grill. The staff is amazing and the owner will great you at the door. The food is excellent with great flavor and large portions. The restaurant has there liquor license now, so the one review that gave them a 1 star wasn't patient enough until they got there license from the state. We both had the enmoladas, with chicken. 3 enchiladas with a mole sauce that was tasty and had just a hint of spice. They came along with generous helpings of rice and refried beans. Excellent. The service was great. The owner seated us and came back to check on us and we had a great conversation. He really cares about what you think, and any ideas you have to make it better. My wife, son, and I went here for dinner for the first time, and it definitely will not be the last! The salsa was full of flavor and the cold chill left a pleasing after taste. The chips were savory and delicious on their own. I got the steak fajitas and they are easily the best on this side of the mountain. The steak was seasoned beautifully and the tortillas were nice and warm. My wife got the three enchiladas and enjoyed each one of them. The rice on the plates was quite tasty as well.
