What's up: It was dinner time and we had a craving for tacos. Doing another Yelp search, we found this place. Based on the photos, the food looked yummy and exactly what we were looking for. Parking: They have a small parking area right up front and on the side. It's a bit tight so Street parking might be a better option. Environment: This place looks like a converted food truck. They have tables out front and you'll place your order at the window. The menu is posted on the side and there are a ton of items to choose from. We had a bit of a wait before our food was ready to go. What was ordered: - Asada Burrito (it was ok) - Diablo Torta (very soft and favorite) - Quesabirria (cheesy and tasty) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Grabbed lunch here today, and was debating between 4 or 5 stars. I asked for no onion, but everything had onion on it. I usually don't get onion at Mexican places because it can be too overpowering. The birria was very fatty, and I hate that- I had entire mouthfuls of fat that I had to spit out. Even with those issues it was still delicious. Pricing isn't bad, and the portions are good. Everything tasted fresh. Even if the food wasn't good (and I'm happy to say that's not the case it was good!) I'd have been tempted to give them a good review simply because of the drinks. Easily the best horchata I've ever had. Not just in town, but ever. It was phenomenal. I also got a Jamaica. I love Jamaica- but I hate the powdered crap that I usually find in town. I asked if it was powdered or brewed, and they said it was brewed. I should've known better and just ordered Jamaica for lunch- it was amazing, and on par with what I've had in Guatemala- also brewed. It's tart, sweet, and refreshing and I am beyond happy to have a place in town that has it! Honestly, both were so good that they could've covered my entire meal in sour cream (which would make it inedible for me) and I'd still have contemplated a 5 star review. Diablo Torta - No real heat, very little ham and my husband proclaimed the sausage was hot dogs lol. He said it was delicious and the bun was very dense and filling. Pork Carnitas plate - Generous helping of meat, delicious black beans, rice and Tortillas. So delicious and filling! After seeing this place pop up when I am looking for new places all the time I finally had the opportunity to go here with my son. We ordered the nachos and the torta, both with chicken and a tea and a horchata for drinks. The guys behind the window were friendly and informative when we asked questions. The nachos were a bit hard to eat, especially if you are sharing it. It was more of a eat with utensil type food because the container it was in, but the flavors were good. The torta was also very good. The chicken in most places are bland and have no flavor, but it was not the case here. The chicken was flavored and seasoned very well. The bun on the torta was toasted perfectly and gave off a buttery taste that added to the overall taste. The drinks were also good. Well the tea was good, the horchata was phenomenal. This was my first time trying it ever and I must say that I am not experienced in the flavors of horchatas, but for having it the first time I was very impressed. If you're looking for some good Mexican food I would recommend Poco Loco. It's my girlfriend and I favorite Mexican food truck. The people are very nice and always have a smile on there face. It's a small food truck right on Royal Avenue. I would recommend the birra plate, it comes with beans and rice with some warm tortillas and I would also recommend the torta. read more

Dayum! We were looking for something new and we live out on the west side so this popped up when looking for tacos. I got the quesabirria tacos and these are hands down the best I've had in Eugene. The broth was incredibly flavorful and the tacos weren't soggy at all, even after being transported home. Lots of fresh chopped red onion and cilantro topped it. Super friendly people, and the green salsa is the best in Eugene. You might scoff at $3 for a taco, but the meat quality is excellent and the tortillas are homemade. Put this together with excellent customer service and neat ideas like Chorizo stuffed mushrooms as well as jalapeño poppers stuffed with Chorizo, this is the best tacos I've had in Eugene, and I've been to them all. Ok, I never review places. BUT, this place really blew me away. I have been trying to find MY Mexican spot in this town. There are places that are GOOD, don't get me wrong. But nothing that really scratches the itch. I normally need to go to Portland for that. These guys though, they hit all the marks for me. Fast, fresh, oh so friendly. Authentic, but also with things like romaine lettuce to appease my gringa-ness. This is the real deal friends, and the prices are affordable for the quality. Unlike, some other, bigger, whiter places in town. Did I mention they are so helpful and friendly? I'll start with I have loved this place since the moment I discovered them, but, on my last visit I saw some very concerning sanitation issues. Visited Aug 7 & 2 women and 1 older man was working, one woman took payment at the window and the older man was prepping jalapeño poppers. As I stood there, I watched the man sneeze 3x, all over the food, never attempting to cover his mouth, and of course no mask were being worn. Seriously yummy, homestyle tacos--$3 each. My dad and I both had the Carne Asada taco and Beef Barbacoa taco. 2 filled us up, and we are big fellas and known to chow down. Meat, radishes, cilantro, onions and good green salsa. Damn close to perfection. The guy serving is really friendly. There is one plastic folding table with 6 chairs, in the parking lot, and some colored lights under the awning. That's it for decor. This cute new food truck opened up just moments from my home! It's located across the street from dairy mart on Royal.The parking is very minimal and it's easy to miss when you are not paying attention. The food is great! I got the crispy chicken taquitos 3 for 7$ and a mango bubble tea. Yes, they have bubble tea!! The service was quick and they even have a table for quests to sit at.
