I had an incredibly frustrating experience with PODS due to a complete lack of transparency regarding their pricing and delivery process. After initially paying $689, I was hit with an unexpected $50 charge to have the container delivered to my new house. At no point during the setup or booking process did anyone explain these additional fees. The worst part of this experience was their communication--or lack thereof. PODS canceled my delivery entirely, citing "nonpayment" for this surprise fee, but they never notified me that there was an outstanding balance in the first place. Once I realized what had happened and immediately paid the fee, they refused to honor my original delivery date. Moving is already stressful enough without a company failing to communicate and then penalizing the customer for their own lack of transparency. I cannot recommend their services. read more

PODS aka "Predatorial Outright Delivery Scam". I was asked to email socialmedia@pods for "help" after my previous bad review, I had already done that. Melissa Martinez from the PODs HQ a senior "advocacy specialist" did not contact me at all after calling into them 7x instead, she simply "reviewed" the obviously completely biased pods salesforce information and emailed me essentially saying to go kick rocks. STAY AWAY FROM PODS AT ALL COSTS!!!! (unless you want awful service and when you have a problem, you enjoy talking to walls both on here in customer reviews, over the phone with their customer care team, and with their "advocacy specialists" ) OH and don't believe the responses to the negative reviews here get handled, completely fake and disingenuous responses from a predatorial moving company. read more

This company does not even deserve a "not good" rating. It deserves a negative milliion. I would not recommend this company to anyone!! The customer service is despicable and RUDE. I will never ever use them again. First they screwed up my order because their pod leaked and I requested a new pod and then had the audacity to draw almost a $1000 dollars out of my bank account then after I argued with them for a week they finally refunded me. Now that we are ready to move, they are telling me that suddenly they don't service my area which was not communicated to me at all. I now have to empty the pod and go with another company. I pushed the first star hesitantly. I think you have to to in order to leave a review. I don't want to leave even one star. The PODS MOVING AND STORAGE company is a rip off. They will bring a container even if you have not paid them the initial fee. I know this because it happened to me. One day I came home to see two PODs in my driveway although I knew they did not receive my initial payment yet. Well my son and his friends had started moving things into one of them not knowing the situation. Now the reason I had not paid them is because I had contacted another container moving company ( MODS ) who had given me a better rate and I had decided that I would go with them instead. I had not called or went online to cancel with PODS yet but it did say they would not deliver without paymentwas received. Well since my son and his friends had the PODs container half full I went ahead and paid for the service ( bad choice) to allow them to finish packing it so we could complete our move. About a couple of days later I arrived at home to see the PODS container was no longer were it was before I left for work. I wondered where could it be because I knew I had schedule for a pick up when we had completed packing them for the weekend. I knew no one called in my family because I'm the person in the family who was handling the matter. Long story short PODS had come to remove the two containers without letting me know they would. I had a scheduled pick up for the containers for following weekend so why they had come to pick them up earlier confused me. Once I contacted the PODs company they told me they were not sure why the containers were picked up and that they were unsure about where they were. I was told the department I was to talk to was closed because it was after 5pm so I had to call back the next day. I did call the following Monday to be told that the PODS were picked up because I had scheduled it. I told them I had not scheduled a pickup until the weekend. We had not even finished completely packing one of the PODS. When I told them this they seem to be unconcerned and just told me the amount to have them placed back at our home. Well I finally had to make arrangements with another company (MODS) to finish our move. Everything went very smooth with the new company (MODS) and I really regretted not using them in the first place. DO NOT USE PODS MOVING AND STORAGE they are CON ARTIST. I will never be able to explain the hell of events it took to even get our propery delivered to our new home. After everything was settled and over I looked back and saw I had been scammed because I hadwound up paying PODS moving and storage $1024.33 for one months of storage and one container 1/4 ways full. I was going to sue PODs but later decided I would just put my time forth helping to ensure this doesn't happen to any others and that's why your getting this information. read more

I moved from Florida to the Ft Worth area. The Florida PODS were amazing. FT Worth PODS was one of the worst experiences I have ever had, and that is saying something. They set up delivery times and on the day of, were at a minimum of 2-3 hours late. They were belittling and rude in person and the customer service was worse. Same on pickup. I called ahead and warned them the storage location closed at 5 pm and they didn't show up until after 3 pm and they had 3 containers to pick up with an hour drive between each pod. When I contacted their customer service, they said the delivery times were "suggestions only" and they only promised to deliver/pickup on "that day". To make a bad situation worse, they emptied out the containers of debris at the storage facility all over the ground and left. I was left dealing with the storage facility to try to fix the mess they left and to deal with the hard feelings from them showing up late and expecting the storage location to stay open late because they ignored what they were told. If you are in Ft Worth, avoid PODS. read more

PODs has a ton of potential to be a quality moving service however their systems are not functional. They are not communicative and when I called to have my pods picked up in a specific order they messed it up and then I had to continually call and be placed on hold for up to 20 minutes at a time while they transferred me around to different people to insure my last pod was picked up. They couldn't update the order on the system but rather just in physical notes on my order. The fact that they are a pretty expensive service I expected much more from them in terms of customer support and ability to manage my pod orders/pickups and moves. I would definitely explore other options of moving and storage containers before approaching pods again. read more

if I could give this company negative stars I would. I have spent the last hour on hold attempting to get my pod delivered to me. when booking the pod several months back they had no issues taking my money and dropping and picking up the pod. however when it's time to redeliver my pod. They claim that my zip code has been closed. Funny they had no issue booking the pod with the zip code information 4 months back, but now it's "closed". they suggested that I come pick the pod up myself as an option. That is not what I paid for and not what I agreed to. pick any other option beside pods, they might be the most well known but they suck. save yourself the time and headache. read more

This company can not dispatch themselves out of a paper bag. We were supposed to receive our POD 8/11/22 between the hours of 9:30am-12:30pm to our families new residence. We arrived in the afternoon with movers only to find out our POD was not delivered. We contacted POD's to get an update on the delivery because we had movers onsite to assist seeing our pickup was already scheduled for 8/13/22. The customer service rep was no help and was unable to contact a manager or the driver yet insisted the unit was dispatched for delivery. After several hours waiting we called again and were told they had until 10pm to deliver which also did not happen. 8/12/22 @ 9:00am we reached back out to check the status of our delivery and they still were unable to let us know a time frame but it will be there today. 2:30pm still no delivery so another call was made. They apologized and informed us that our POD was not dispatched on 8/11/22 at all and they are still unable to contact the driver. The customer service rep told me we would hear from a manager then asked if we would still like to get our POD picked up 8/13/22 REALLY!!!!!. What bizarro world are they living in? It is like you are dealing with a bunch of script reading morons that are unable to tell you where your POD is or when you will receive it. This is also over a half a billion dollar corporation that apparently has zero visibility of their trucks zero communication skills and zero common sense. Never again will I deal with POD's or there incompetence. Update 8/12/22 5:05pm emailed the link shared below and called POD's again. This time the CSA kept us on the phone for an hour and told us the manager says he is sorry but unable to make it to the phone because he is assisting other issues. Still no POD and they offered for us to go and pick it up the POD ourselves lol. They also suggested that we should have called earlier which we did multiple times and they have record of. I have dealt with some shitty customer service but this one takes the cake. read more

They were supposed to deliver my pod on Saturday, May 28. I received no communication from them all day only to find out that they weren't going to be delivering the pod at all. Now I've had to wait all weekend plus Monday because it's Memorial Day. Now they've told me that they won't be delivering it until the afternoon tomorrow (Tuesday) when I was told on the phone that they would be making my delivery a priority because they missed the original delivery date. This is causing me all sorts of trouble as you can imagine. PODS offered the best price but it's really not worth it considering the fact that they won't even deliver the pod on the day you need it. read more

I used PODs to move from Tennessee to Texas. We did not have a house purchased yet and planned on finding one in the Cleburne area. The house we bought was in Meridian. When I tried to schedule the delivery of my Pods I was told they would not deliver to Meridian. I attempted to discuss what it would take to deliver my pod with several levels of management with no satisfaction. I was forced to rent a trailer and shuttle my goods myself. I was reminded to empty my pods before the next billing cycle, which I did. I now find that pods has continued to charge my credit card. I called their customer service number, but have not been able to secure a refund yet. I have since seen adds for U-boxes through U-haul. They advertise that they will deliver to any location. I regret not contracting through them. read more
