Didn't even get to have an experience. Pods advertises three sizes of Pods (8', 12', 16') that can be rented by the month for on-site storage. If you only have space for the 8' you are out of luck. They will not rent the small one for local on-site storage, not even for one month. You can only rent the small one if you are leaving the state. I would not recommend anyone using this company until the owner or management fix their internal problems and make this right with their customers. I am a realtor here in Tucson and in helping my buyers that urgently needed additional storage during their move, I called PODS Tucson. They should have credited my account for not showing up on the delivery date (the driver told me he was told at 4pm about the delivery and had to go pick up a pod from someone's home to get it over to my clients property -they arrived just before 5pm and the unit was loaded backwards - so they had to leave and reload the unit with the door facing the correct direction to load/unload. Customer service was told by the Tucson POD that they had mechanical trouble (LIE) The truck the driver told me a very different story- which was the truth- We were just blown off - (THEY will not allow you to speak with anyone locally which should have been the first red flag) I had my infant grandson (1yr) with me at 11:45 as I was told the delivery would arrive at the beginning of our window when I called customer service and they spoke with the local scheduler - so I waited in 98* heat with a baby and 3 movers I was paying by the hour - only to wait for another hour on the phone (from 3-4pm) with customer service who was speaking with the Tucson location - This has been a complete mess - I will advise anyone I know not to use the Tucson POD services. I didn't even receive a call from your company following my complaint -I'm waiting on hold for 36 min as i type this yet again just to find out why I've been double billed - horrible service! and NOW I'm being double billed what a mess! read more

Just called for a quote - what a miserable experience. Website forces you to talk to a rep. Called the number they gave me with a quote ID number. I got a long wait message. So I opted for a call back. Which came much longer than the wait time. Rep that called was rude and condescending. I asked questions and all he did was counter with his questions - I simply wanted a price quote which he finally gave me. That could have been a two minute call vs. the time I wasted trying to get that bit of information. Not sure what happened to this company - but it's a mess! THE WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!! Paid for my PODS and had it delivered Aug 7, 2021 When I called to schedule a pickup and delivery to our new home PODS told me there was a hold on my account and the contents were scheduled to be auctioned. They had all the wrong account information and explained it was all their fault and not mine. I spent 45 minutes one day and 50 minutes two days later trying to get everything cleared up. AN HOUR AND A HALF ON THE PHONE ARE YOU SERIOUS? Then PODS tells me they can't pick up and deliver until Sept 9th when I've been trying to schedule a move on the first of Sept for days but was held up by the bogus account information. They tell me the local PODS facility will text or call me to get it done any sooner, like tomorrow The 2nd of Sept. read more

Use caution when using PODS to move your belongings. Our initial dropoff was flawless and from there things went downhill. We were emailed in the afternoon that PODS was changing our pickup time to the next morning and that the only other alternative was to wait an additional week (if you were buying a house would you want someone else's possessions in your driveway?) -- this meant that my wife and I had to pack until after midnight as they sent the email after closing time so there was no way to reach the local office. The promised phone call to announce their arrival was never received. When the time came for the final dropoff, despite repeated instructions to the driver, he placed the container on the edge of the driveway and broke two slabs of concrete (for which he apologized). When final pickup happened the driver was very careful to not drive on the edges of the concrete avoiding additional damage. Also, once again, the promised phone calls about arrival times were never received. I filed a claim and PODS denied it saying that the driver doesn't remember those instructions. So now we are out a few thousand dollars to repair the driveway on our new home as the concrete will continue to disintegrate over time. Overall, just poor and expensive service. read more

Pods doesn't connect the customers with local representatives. When you call pods, rather than connecting with the local pods facility it will connect you with the corporate number which is outsourced to India. Those at local pods facilities know what they are doing and are great to do business with. However all transactions are handled by calling the corporate number or using the website. I had so many issues and complications with my move some of which was not the pods fault but meant I spent a lot of time on the phone. It would take hours to get ahold of someone and when I did it was someone from India. The representatives in India did not treat me with the same respect as they did my husband. They royally messed up our transaction (wrongly charging us 500$ but we were able to get it reimbursed eventually) communication and respect was something the India team deeply lacked. I wouldn't do business in pods again just so I could avoid that hassle. read more

This is a huge struggle. We were sent a confirmation of arrival times the night prior. The Pods did not arrive as scheduled per the contract and we were not notified. We then had to move everything back into the house. We are recieving hours and hours of customwr service "run around" - I just want to talk to a supervisor, regional manager or the actual pod center. These avenues are blocked by customer service. I have rescheduled but need confirmation as this company is in violation of contract already -- costing me money, changes in work schedule, movers on both ends, and now affecting the other families move into our current house. The last customer service representative (Miracle) hung up on me when i reviewed her " run around tactics" and confusing statements. I only want a guarantee of arrival , work on getting the final delivery closer to initial contract date, and reasonable compensation for the additional cost the violation of contract is costing me. read more

Had a pretty negative initial experience with PODS. Driver arrived hours past 3-hour window. Despite due diligence, and enough planning and lot/entrance dimensions on my end, the unit didn't fit on my property. The size of the delivery truck and the hydraulic lifts competed with mandatory 14ft entry and overhead power lines. After evasive conversation with regional manager via driver about cancellation fees being waived, i sent driver back to warehouse with POD bc it just didn't fit. I spent hours on the phone trying to recoup the charges and was eventually refunded the monthly rental cost of the pod, minus the delivery fee - which i was OK to pay. The regional manager eventually did the right thing considering the circumstances. read more

Hard to communicate with because you have to go through the company's 1-800 number. We arrived at our schedule appointment to pick up our items in the pod. They had us wait 25 minutes while to went to do get it so it wasn't even ready. Defeated he purpose of an appointment. The hours of picking up your pod are also very difficult to schedule. I accidentally locked the POD unit incorrectly, so the driver called to tell me that he could not take the unit. I told him that I would be there in 15 minutes to correct my mistake, and instead he told me that he could not wait for me because he had a busy pick up schedule. I was told to reschedule my pick up date, and when I called I was told that because of this absolute lack of accommodation that I would be assessed a $100 rescheduling fee. Awful customer service aside, I rescheduled for a few days later (I'm contesting the fee which I consider a result of inflexibility and lack of concern for the paying customer), and I was then inexplicably charged $300.66. I am still awaiting resolution of my concern and a response about where an additional $200.66 charge came from. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND, and I haven't even arrived at my destination yet. UHaul will provide an identical service for the same price or even less. read more

RENTERS BEWARE!!! DO NOT BOTHER!!! I booked a pod on their "national website" and scheduled for next day delivery. Everything looked great except it had a TBD for the time it would be delivered and the customer service (in Florida) was already closed to get a more specific time of delivery. I called on the day the Pod was to be delivered and talked to someone back east and they told me that the "window" was between 7 and 10 a.m. At 10:30 a.m. I called back and asked for an updated and the operator (again back east) said she would call the Tucson office manager and get a better time line and have him/her call me back. ..."Crickets"!! is what I heard back !! At 2:00 p.m., again, called and they told me that they were running behind and that they could not tell me what time they would be there to drop off the pod. Finally being a little frustrated I was shocked that the East office was open at 4:00 pm only for them to tell me that they would not deliver until Monday morning!!! No Calls from anyone in Tucson!!!! They STRING you along until you are at their mercy. Not here!! I was lucky to have scheduled movers that were able to use their truck and move my furniture out and hold for 2 days. I called COOL BOX STORAGE and they scheduled me for delivery and pick up. If I could rate this company (PODS) a negative 5 star I certainly would. read more

So I ordered a POD about 2 months ago and it showed up at my house between the times when they said- delivered to a point I asked them to (my driveway) and then picked it up within the time they said. I'm not sure why I've seen so many poor reviews, my experience was about as smooth as it could possibly go. My POD is currently in storage now and I may post another time should I have a bad experience when I want it delivered to my new home. So far though- they rock! read more

My daughter ordered a PODS for her move. They delivered it to our house this morning as I was on my way to take my son to school. I met the driver and signed for the delivery and specifically asked him to place the POD about 1 to 2 feet from the edge of my driveway where my truck is parked, so as not to be in front of my neighbor's house. We live in a cul-de-sac so the angle of the houses is a little tighter. He said "sure no problem" so I left to take my son to school thinking that the delivery driver was capable enough to follow through. WRONG-O!! Their customer service is ridiculous and rude. They kept cutting me off. I asked to have the local manager call me so I could e-mail him/her a picture of the POD practically in front of my neighbor's house. Still waiting. Again, this isn't my rental, it's my daughter's and her boyfriend's but I will NEVER use them. read more

Delivery of unit as scheduled ok but pod is damaged noticed mustiness on a few items on delivery day two days later it rains in unit and collects near back and we have to scramble to get boxes out that we were planning on keeping on the pod and having picked up to be stored for at least two months-- customer service says they will call back they don't we call repeatedly. They are refusing to consider refunding us any charges related to the unit itself . The unit leaked prior to delivery to our address based on what we saw first then leaked more causing further damage . Mr. Mckellar of Pods refuses to consider on behalf of Pods ANY reimbursement for the faulty unit or for us having to relocate our things. No initiative from Pods on how to handle the situation.:( He said we can only file a claim - based on others this has gone nowhere- let's see what happens. We signed a contract with PODS 11 days prior to the delivery date of the the container. The customer service representative informed us that though he did not currently have any PODS in stock, he should have multiple by our dropoff date of 5/27/2016 and one would have our name on it. We signed the contract, were charged the $476 five days ago, and our account PODS made us sign up for said it was to be delivered on the 27th. Understandably, we thought we were set. We were told we would receive a phone call the night prior of delivery to give us an estimated time of day for delivery, it never came. On the day the pod was to be delivered we had not been contacted about a delivery time or any information was given at all. We had to call their office twice to find out that they in fact had no PODS available, and did not know when we would be able to get a pod. They told us they would look into when a POD would be available and that we should call back early next week for an update. After another two phone calls, we found out that they had never planned on trying to find us a POD early next week. Instead, they had submitted a request for a full refund and were going to cancel our order completely. Only because we did not trust the answers we were given did we find out that we would have been left in the lurch. It was then explained to us that their system is not working. It shows they have multiple PODS available for the Tucson area, but when they call the manager of the Tucson office he has zero available and had no way of knowing when he would be getting more. We were then told we weren't the only ones scheduled to receive PODS today; that 4 or 5 other customers would also not receive their containers, but they just hadn't found out yet. Though they could give us a full refund, they told us there was nothing they could do for us at the moment and we would have to completely cancel our order and could try again next week to see if they had any left. Disgusted, we asked what they recommended we do? Just cut our losses, contact another company and hope they still have containers at the last minute. Their response was "basically, yes, I think that is all you can do." The customer service representative was very nice and helpful, and she told me she had reported the issue to multiple managers because it was ridiculous. I am thoroughly disgusted that we signed a contract for an item, were already charged $500 for an item they never had available for us, and that they apparently found out his Monday (May 22nd) that they had no PODS in Tucson and no one contacted us to let us know. In fact, we had to call four times in one day, talk to many different people, just to get a straight answer out of someone. I feel cheated, mistreated and disrespected and I know there are 4-5 other people in my area who are about to feel the same way. read more
