I'm Super disappointed at the blatant lack of concern toward customers safety - employees not wearing face masks to serve customers. My cashier today in the service department didn't have one at all. Multiple employees not wearing them, leaving them around their neck, etc. With COVID present I expected better. We had just travel from California to visit family in Texas . So our car was acting up and had our check engine light . So we decided to take it down to the local Toyota dealer and found Poe . Worst mistake ever but was emergency really had no choice ! We took it on December 21 and couldn't figure out what was wrong . I had to keep calling to see what was happening or any updates because they will never call you . Only excuse was oh I'm sorry I'm waiting for my manager of service because we don't know what is wrong . From start to end of this worst unpleasant service from management to bottom was the worse . Customer service is the worst!!! Last thing we did not get our vehicle back till January31 . We drove our vehicle back to California and the supposed thing they fix which was a fuel injector end break down back home . We try to turn our vehicle on and the whole gasoline end up in the floor . Thankfully we towed our vehicle to our home local Toyota dealer we're able to fix it and was feeling safe because we where back home . The whole experience in Poe Toyota was bad since day one don't go there they have the worst customer service staring with management. All the gasoline that end up in the floor from that injector that did not do right . Great customer service from the service department and the service manager Albert at Dick Poe Toyota. I had a slight issue with wheel vibration at highway speeds and thought it was possible one of the wheel weights was knocked off during my last visit. We've been repeat customers of Dick Poe Toyota over the past 4 years, buying 2 cars and using the service center. Since the beginning of the remodel and changing of the guard with death of the previous owner, we have watched the service spiral down. Now they roll their eyes in the service center when we come in for an oil change. This is of course after they find out we have Toyota Care and will not be paying. There is no attention to detail either. I waited 3 hours for an oil change and state safety inspection only to find out they never did the safety inspection. Unfortunately we are going to have to buy our next Toyota from another seller. The new show room is nice but the service is cold and faceless. read more

I had a great experience with one employee (Paul) at the service center who was quick and cost effective. Because of his great service I decided to return for my oil change when I needed it, even though I live across town. But the oil change took 2 hours even with an early morning appointment. I arrived on time for a 7:30 appointment and did not leave until after 9:30, and it would have been later but I went up and made them check me out after my car had been finished and waiting for 10 min. Other people who got here after me seemed to be taken care of before me. And it was not cheap. I would not return for an oil change. read more

My wife and I are extremely disappointed with the service from the sales representatives here and the general manger. My wife was given the keys to a vehicle and able to take it home overnight. We come back the following day and negotiate the price and give the go-ahead to agree to purchase the vehicle. My wife is handed all the documents to begin the purchase and the sale representative goes to get the vehicle ready and detailed to purchase. As my wife completes all the necessary paperwork, the sales representative advises us the general manager gave the other set of keys to another person and that they took the vehicle off the lot. The sales representative goes on the explain that the general manager advised him that we no longer had any agreement on the vehicle as his "friend" had the other set of keys and he had priority on the vehicle. This all happened while we agreed with our sales representative to purchase the vehicle and had keys on hand. The behavior and integrity of the general manger and sales department of this establishment is completely unacceptable and disgraceful. Took the good ol school bus (Scion Xb haha) in for a tune up and the service here was awesome! Albert from the service department was great and very helpful throughout the whole process. Usually when you take your car in to get serviced you get a little worried about up selling. Well that wasn't the case here! Straight forward service, free courtisy shuttle back home, and professional work. To actually get the job done it took just about all day but I'm not so sure I can take that away from them since I was having a full tune up done. Overall, great service, hassle free, professional, and a free car wash at the end of it all. Awesome! read more

DISTURBING! That is the most straightforward word that I can use to describe my most recent visit to Poe Toyota. DISTURBING! During my April 23, 2020 visit to Poe Toyota for a Rav4 Safety Recall, I did not see one employee who was wearing a face mask during these times of the Covid-19 Pandemic. What in the heck was that all about? I would hope that the management at Poe Toyota does not believe that by 'looking normal', that would somehow allay the concerns and fears of customers. On the contrary, it sends a disturbing message that maybe the management does not care. Again, DISTURBING! When I see businesses act in such a nonchalant way, it brings the question to my mind of just how serious are they in all of their business actions? Is that recall service really being done? Was the oil change done with the synthetic oil I paid for? Etc. I use this type of 'dramatis' in my writing in an attempt to fully bring out the point of my concern for my personal safety, and the personal safety of others. I wore my mask and made my best efforts to avoid too many 'touch points' at Poe Toyota. Poe Toyota can do a much better job at taking this pandemic seriously also. I recommend the Poe management take a visit to El Super, in order to get an idea of what right looks like when it comes to being serious about customer safety. AVOID POE TOYOTA AT ALL COSTS!!! GO TO FOX TOYOTA INSTEAD. If you don't want to pay a ton of money to get your vehicle fixed, take it back several times, and still not have the problem fixed, I would avoid Poe Toyota's Service department at all costs. We took my husbands truck in because the power steering fluid was leaking. As mentioned above we took it back several times, but they never fixed the problem. What's astounding is the last time we took it in they tried to charge us $500 to fix the same thing. They tried to turn it around and say it was my husbands fault, instead of doing the right thing and actually fixing the vehicle once and for all. I had been bringing my Toyota here since I bought it, almost 2 years for oil changes and tire rotations. I thought that my car would be in good hands being that it's a Toyota and this being a Toyota dealership but it wasn't. Every time I went I would notice something wrong or them doing a crappy job on something. They offer to wash my car but I end up with wipe smears and scratches as if they wiped my car down with a dirty rag so I told them to stop with the car washes. They mentioned I needed an air filter several times so I went and bought myself. When I checked air filter the latch on my box was broken and I know they did it because I only took my car to them. I wash my car and always use windshield wipers afterwards then windex and rage. After Taken to them for this last service it happened to rain. I turn on my wipers and BOTH look like they had been split from the top and bottom. I'm trying to drive in the rain with both windshield wipers that look like spiders all of a sudden went bad but were perfectly fine days prior. Did they replace my blades with old blades then tell me I need new blades that are priced around $25 each to get money out of me?? I don't know but enough is enough. I'm willing to drive an additional 20-30 miles for better service, peace in mind and a new car that will last as it's supposed to. read more

I am appalled at the service that I received at a very reputable dealership here in El Paso. I have been going to Poe Toyota since it was Dick Poe Toyota, being that I always loved the service department. The service department has always done a phenomenal job. Now getting to the sales team at Poe Toyota, they are an absolute mess. They are definitely not about customer service. I encountered so many issues making a purchase through them. First of all, they did not due their due diligence on my paperwork. After they thought I missed something they realized they messed up but still expected me to pay up due to an error on their end. Aside from that I was threatened by a salesman saying that my plates would be withheld. It took around 5 days to get this all squared away, and it took me getting very aggravated for them to even do anything with everything on the paperwork was transparent. After they realized they made the mistake, they still didn't want to pay up, and were demanding the money. After pulling the paperwork with should have been done from the get-go, they finally realized that they made a mistake. Going on 6 weeks now and I still do not have license plates. After speaking with the GM Gerald Miller and the CSRM Kathy, they said that is how they do business. I am not sure what dealership has salesmen threaten to withhold the plates of customers. (I just found out that a dealership cannot withhold plates, as it is against the law. Yet they said it was standard protocol to threaten and demand a customer to pay even though it was the mistake of Poe Toyota.) read more

Had an appointment for an oil change. When we dropped off the car we were told since we had an appointment, it will take an hour to an hour and 15. Waited two hours to get our car back only to be told that we weren't due for an oil change even though our light warning for an oil change kept going off. You were only due for a tire rotation so that's what we did. What??? Nobody even communicated this to us. Had we known it will take 2 hours to do a tire rotation, we would've taken the car to Costco instead, do our shopping while the rotation is being worked on. When communicated this to our tech, he said they've done 50 cars today. I don't care how many cars they have done, we make appointments for a reason. I said you should've communicated to us that that's all you were going to do and it will take two hours and had given us the opportunity to make the decision wether we wanted to wait 2 hours for a tire rotation or not. He said he understands but there was no apology issued so he didn't really understand my point. It was a lip service. Don't waste people's time! Unfortunately I'll have to revise even lower my original rating for this dealership. Tried calling to get a quote for replacement of a lost key for my Prius. Not only were they confused as to whether they could even perform the programming, they wanted to charge over 500 dollars for the replacement key and attempt at programming. It was something like 300-400 just for the key and another 100-200 for the programming which had to be scheduled separately after you ordered the ridiculously overpriced key fob. I ended up purchasing a keb fob from amazon for 180 and programming it perfectly myself by doing some research on the internet. Essentially overpriced cars and service, I really suggest you look elsewhere if you want to buy or service a Toyota. read more

I took my car in for its 5000mile check up and a leaky tire. Service staff was friendly, I liked the waiting area and appreciated that it had wifi. My car was ready in 1 hour- not bad- and they said they fixed my leaky tire with a patch. Awesome. An hour later I'm about 100miles away and take a look at my tires- one's almost flat. I'm stressed b/c I assume the patch didn't hold and now I'm in the middle of nowhere. I put air in at a gas station. The next morning I check all my tires' pressures and they're all way off except the tire I filled the day before. I'm stressed. Some guys in Alpine, TX recommend I take my car to a tire place. I do, a guy there adjusts all my tires to the correct pressure. Luckily the patch on my tire did hold. Unfortunately the Dick Poe Toyota people remembered to write on my receipt that they checked my tire pressure but forgot to actually check my tire pressure. I'll never take my car back to Dick Poe but now I have a great tire place in Alpine. read more

I literally could've went to an auto parts store, bought the oil and filter, drove home, and changed the oil. No "hey its gonna be longer than expected"...nada. The guy who serviced us was great, and explained all the details about the oil change and waiting time. One of the worst service departments I've had the displeasure of working with! unfortunately I have to come here because I bought the "maintenance/ care package". I arrived here for a regular oil change at 10:50am and it's now 1:57pm.. One would think that after seeing an increase in business, you would expand/hire more employees, service techs, etc.. And their workmanship isn't all that great, I've have to come back because they forgot to tighten oil plug and lug nuts. It's gotten so bad this year that I purposely filled my tires to 45lbs just to see if they actually check the pressure or just check the block. Not to my surprise they wrote 35lbs on the paper, but I re-checked and they were filled to 45lbs the way I gave it to them. However their sales department isn't bad, just avoid the parts/service department. read more

Yep glad I did business by email and phone. 1st by email they would do all they could to get you to come in to probably waste your time. They would tell you everything you would want to hear bu phone or email but when you throw them a curveball they become silent or start to backstep. A friend of mine had the same experience and I just had to verify. You can bet I will not bring my business here. If that's the way you deal over the phone and email I'd hate to see how you would treat your customers up front. I'll start by giving a positive review on the dealer I originally had, Abraham he was great through the whole process of me leasing the 2019 Tacoma and didn't try to haggle me anymore the what you would expect. However, 6 months later me being military I needed to terminate my lease due to deployment. Almost two weeks later, after finding I'm no longer deploying, my termination paperwork still wasn't processed which isn't something the dealership handles but corporate. So I go in to see if the paperwork is still going to get processed in time due to the epidemic that's happening in our country. When I arrive I find out the truck I turned in a week ago is still there I ask "Can I get it back since I'm still on contract with them. They're like sure, but me being the "customer" needs to call corporate to make sure there authorized to give it back. So I call corporate they say it's fine and don't understand why the dealership needs authorization, but they oblige anyway then the dealership while they're on my phone talking to corporate that they don't know how to unground the truck and didn't want to call corporate back so they can walk them through the ungrounding process. Now I understand that someone may not know how to do that if it's not something they normally do, nor do I expect them to stop what they're doing to just help me out right on the spot But the fact that you would be on the customers phone telling corporate you don't want to call them back to get help for the customer is outright lazy and unprofessional. I'm literally making monthly payments on a truck and could still continue to make payments and it seemed like no one had a care in the world. Just really disappointed with this experience. read more
