Buffalo chicken wrap w/ fries, fish n chips, shirleeeey temple :)

Year 5 of our annual tradition coming to Boardwalk Cafe served us right-- 5th year in a row! This is by far the tastiest restaurant at Hampton Beach, and there will never be a year where I visit Hampton without paying this fantastic establishment a visit. The service here is great every year, and you get a nice view of the ocean if you dine on the patio (highly recommend). The Buffalo chicken wrap I get every time is made consistently well, and is one of the best I've ever had. The fries are tasty as well. Pair both of these with some ketchup and mustard and you're rolling. The Shirley temple was a great complement to the meal. This place is so good I consider taking a road trip up North during the off season just to get my hands on it again. Year 6 is in the books!

We had a gorgeous view from the upper deck! The service was fast and so friendly, and the food was even better.

There are several places to eat along the stretch of Hampton Beach but you can't go wrong with Boardwalk Café & Pub. A friend and I met there on a September Saturday for lunch, having never been to Hampton Beach. Boardwalk Café & Pub was recommended by a co-worker and it did not disappoint. We got there near opening and there were plenty of tables available. We sat in the upstairs outdoor seating area at the railing, a prime spot for people-watching and enjoying the beautiful oceanfront. If I hadn't had to drive back to Waltham I would have sampled one of the delicious-looking cocktails. Next time maybe. I had the fish and chips, and my companion had a Cobb salad. The fish and chips came out piping hot, small bite-sized chunks of haddock perfect for dipping into tartar sauce. The fries were tasty and just the right amount to compliment and not overwhelm the fish. The cole slaw was just okay but folks who don't like a lot of dressing in their slaw would approve. I like mine a little creamier. My companion enjoyed her Cobb salad. The music (pop) was a little loud but as I was enjoying the songs I didn't ask if they'd turn it down and soon got used to it. The staff were pleasant to a person, and the waitstaff prompt and accommodating when we made requests regarding our meals. I would DEFINITELY return!

We sat upstairs our sever was sweet and as attentive as she could I just wished we got refills on our drinks. Nothing too special about this place, honestly looking at the other restaurant menus on Hampton beach this was one looked the best for this little beach town. The best thing we got was the mussels, they were surprisingly really fresh and great flavors. My husband had the shrimp and lobster scampi and I had the ahi tuna salad it wasn't bad but nothing to write home about. It was a decent meal, but I would eat here again for the views of the beach and fantastic for people watching. Seriously very entertaining watching all the tricked out cars drive by with their music blasting and the fun police action lol.

Being from NY, I prefer a hot butter lobster roll but this place has a delicious cold lobster roll. Great staff and service ever with a crowd they were very attentive. The Feeling Hot Hot hot Margarita was spicy but was more like spiked pineapple juice then a margarita.

Oh boy. The location of this place is its saving grace. I have a feeling if they were not right on the main strip of Hampton Beach with two floors of ocean views, they would not be in business long. My girlfriends and I came here for an early dinner on a Saturday night when all of the other places were impossible to get into (this should have been our first red flag). We ordered the sampler appetizer and crab cakes to start. The sampler portion size was shockingly small. It looked like a kid's meal to be honest and ate like one too - there was not enough to go around, not to mention the mediocre quality of the food. The crab cakes tasted like they had more filler than crab in them. They were also drizzled with honey mustard which I found to be a very odd and poor choice for seafood. For my entree, I ordered the fish & chips. I expected the fish to be a haddock filet, but instead it was served in chunks/bite size pieces. I've never had it like that before so it was kind of suspect and unappetizing. My friends had a chicken sandwich, burger, and the baked haddock. The sandwich & burger came dry as a bone with no sauce or condiments. They had to ask for them. The baked haddock looked so unappealing. The presentation of the dish was just horrible. Needless to say, my friends were not satisfied with their meals. I'd say suck up the wait for any other place on the boardwalk!

My friend asked How long have we been waiting for the chowder? and looked at the kitchen to see the chowder and dip dying under the heat lamp. At some point a server brought all four items at once, nothing was coursed. We had no share plates utensils napkins salt pepper no spoon in the crab dip. The crab dip obviously burnt on the edges and lumps of cream cheese. No crab no crab flavor. We had the dip removed from the bill. The chowder luke warm temperature. 2 drinks 2 chowder and 3 small breaded fish tacos 75$. Also over an hour for what should have been a quick lunch. Don't waste the effort to walk down to PB stay on the main boardwalk and get a proper lunch at SeaKetch!

We were seated quickly and our server was very friendly. We ordered drinks and appetizers while I sent my allergy card back to the kitchen to see if they could accommodate me. The appetizers were delicious and the frozen daiquiri I got was decent enough, though not terribly strong. But then our server came back and said that the kitchen couldn't make me *anything.* They claimed they were worried about cross contamination issues. Which I completely understand, but seriously? Nothing at all? I have been served bland chicken and water poached fish at other restaurants but this is only the second time in my life that I have been told that the kitchen couldn't make me anything at all. It's hard to imagine the state of their kitchen where they are concerned about cross contamination of literally all of their ingredients. The other alternative is that they were simply unwilling to accommodate my allergies, neither of which bodes well for other people with allergies or food restrictions. (My husband would like to apologize again to our waitress for his outburst. We recognize that she was merely the messenger.)
