We had such a great experience at New Wave Seafood that I felt compelled to write this review…read more We went as a family of five and decided to step outside our comfort zones--every one of us tried a type of seafood we hadn't had before. Not a single regret. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared perfectly. What really stood out was the staff. They were incredibly patient and kind with our sons, taking the time to explain different fish, what they taste like, and what they might enjoy most. That level of care turned dinner into an experience, not just a meal. The restaurant was immaculate, the servers were courteous and genuinely friendly, and the overall atmosphere made us feel welcome from start to finish. It's rare to find a place that nails food, service, and family friendliness all at once, but this place does. We'll absolutely be back.

Overpriced for what you get…read more Ordered the fish and chips and it looked like it came out of a frozen box I could get at the supermarket. There were 4 thin strips of fish with an oily coating. Nothing like you find in a real fish and chips shop in the UK, not even close. The $10 lobster bisque soup we were told has "chunks" of lobster in it. What we got was a pinky nail size piece of claw meat. What a sorry item. Our waiter vanished and was never seen again, we were left for dead. Overall a disappointing expensive meal. This was our first and last visit.

The lobster Mac & cheese is terrific. The lobster nachos to die for. The pesto pasta is a great addition. If you're fortunate to catch an early bird you are in luck!! The service is excellent and don't be afraid to get some to bring home. We come from north jersey and look forward to our day at Pt. Pleasant by starting at Point Lobster.

There is a to go area, bathroom, and then indoor seating area. They have merchandise behind the register. Started with the tuna nachos and crab rangoon mozzarella sticks. Tuna was good quality and had a good coating of sesame seeds. My perfect bite was tuna, orange sauce, seaweed, tomato, & onion. The chips were perfectly crispy. The crab rangoon was surprisingly good. This appetizer is what made me pick this place. Such a good combination. Didn't need the marinera sauce. Next up soups. Lobster bisque was ok. I guess I was expecting it to be a little more rich. But it was good, it tasted exactly like lobster and I got good chunks in the soup too. Now the shrimp and corn chowder was super flavorful. Favorite dish of the meal. For mains, cold lobster roll and two tails w butter and side salad. Side salad was well dressed and I appreciate the ribbons of Parmesan. The lobster was mostly cooked right. There was one that was a bit chewy. Added salt and butter but felt like something was missing still. I couldn't find a good combo of toppings to go with the lobster. The cold lobster roll was alright. The potato bread added a good sweet flavor that complimented the lobster. Overall a decent meal.
