Lobster Roll, salad with vinaigrette dressing & coleslaw
    Aba H.

It's been about five years since my last review. They expanded the indoor restaurant and while we were sitting at a table for four on the pier, a duo sang several familiar songs in harmony to an acoustic electric guitar (albeit their own versions). Our dish, the Greek Salad with grilled shrimp, was better than what we ordered last time. The other couple had the Lobster Roll with salad and coleslaw, which they thought was very good, but one remarked they've had better when the roll had more lobster without filler like red pepper. If you don't mind lousy parking, trying to catch a good table without reservations, standing in line to order your entrée, walking back to your table carrying the drinks, stopping near the bar to grab napkins and plastic cutlery, and finally dumping your garbage into a pail, this place is for you. That said, the food was very good and the outdoor table on a nice day with a view of a wetland bay and live music was very nice. There was also a small sandy beach for little children to play and a little marina.

We went here three years ago for an impromptu birthday celebration, they had outdoor seating great drinks, delicious fried clams and lobster rolls! Very relaxing atmosphere! The view was amazing at sunset! Jump ahead three years and this place is a destination for families, singles or date night! They have live music on some nights, I went on a Saturday and it was busy , they have two parking lots both were filled! ( short wait time) I couldn't believe how much they have grown over the years ! I usually go in the summer but they are open all year long ! Plenty of tables outside too. Find a table , Line up in the back to order your food, they will give u a device to put on your table for the waiter to bring your order! Order your alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks at the bar. It's pricey but worth it I think! 5 stars!!

A beautiful sunset view from the dock :)

We recently dined outside at the Point Lookout Clam Bar, and if you take anything away from this review, it's that I highly recommend a sunset dinner date! Once we figured out the chaotic ordering system (you do have to wait on a long line to order your food while someone saves a table), it was smooth sailing from there...pun intended, perhaps? (And thankfully, once the food was ordered, it did not take long before a runner came to our table with our goodies.) I think for a casual dockside restaurant like this one, it's best to go with the *tried and true* casual seafood faves! We had the New England clam chowder, fried clam strips, fries, and a fried shrimp and fish platter that came with coleslaw and tartar sauce! (This all 'hit the spot' and definitely tasted like summer.) And of course, the outdoor ambiance only enhanced this dining experience; we got a table right on the actual dock that overlooks the small inlet beach and boasts the most beautiful sunset views. (And yes, I did put my feet in the water as well, lolol.) This spot is what Long Island summers are all about and perfect for those who always look for any excuse to be by the water. (Like me!!!)

9/27/25 Pretty quiet for lunch on a sunny day, the last Saturday of September. Blackened halibut was delicious. Hope it stays on the menu. Just wish they had some fresh sides!

Beautiful place beautiful setting everyone is so nice. I have been here twice my first time was amazing. The food was so good I had to come back. My first time I had the cheeseburger w/ fries the baked clams and a crab cake. Delicious the second time I had just the cheeseburger because it was so good my first time. The crab cake was okay so I didn't get it this time. My friend had the chicken sandwich which is also very tasty. A bit expensive but it worth everything is freshly made to order. They also have different things here to do an ice cream shop and fresh sushi. And next door sell fresh seafood to make at home.

I had been here once before and really like it. If ypu go with a group of people, as I did, it is great since there is no table service. You place your order at the counter, pay for it there, [there are two prices, one for cash, the other, which is higher if paying with a credit card] the menu is solidly seafood but the do offer a hamburger/cheeseburger. It is a pretty extensive selection, soups, salads, a kids menu, tacos, fried favs, sides, fish from the grill and even pasta. They have a sushi bar and as you go further into the restaurant, they have and area where you can purchase bottled wines and pre-prepared sushi. It is right on the water and it is set up so when the whether is nice, the garage door type windows can be opened to let the cool breeze wash in. It is open year round 7 days until 11:30p. The night we went there was a live band playing hits from the 70's-80's which was great. I ordered the tuna tacos which were delicious and the coleslaw they make is very tasty. There are even indoor and outdoor bars and a gift shop. The Clam Bar does not disappoint. It is well worth a visit, especially with a group.

Fun place for families. You can sit by the water and eat and drink while the kids play. They have chairs to sit in and you can order food from the beach area. We ended up going inside to eat lunch. You go up to order food and they give you an electronic device to you when your food is ready. It was ready within 10 minutes. I was hoping for oysters but they didn't have any. There's a lot of fried food on the menu. I ordered grilled tuna tacos. They were generous portions for the price. They were ok. Kinda bland with little of some sort of sauce on it. Would have loved some more seasoning if any on the tuna. The French fries were good. The staff is friendly. The restaurant is huge and clean. There is a gift shop at the entrance of the restaurant. Parking can be tough in the area when it's crowded.

Great place for happy hour $1 shrimp, oysters and little necks every day between 4-7. Very informal place. You order yourself and it's brought over to your table. Music in the evening is frequent. All the dollar seafood was fantastic and fresh. Meaty clean shrimp. There's even a cute gift shop. Very varied menu. Great for kids.

Amazing location, decor was clean and on point with the theme. Food was fresh and delicious. The hubs ordered the steamers. He loved them "large plump and delicious". I had the lobster roll, it was sooo good! Toasted sweet bun with a generous portion of lobster. Beautiful view with a nice breeze. Service was friendly. They give a cash discount and you must tip in cash so take your $$$

Really cozy establishment! The food wasn't that memorable to me. The chicken tacos I had were very cold and hard I couldn't really eat it. The fried fish on the other hand was hot and edible. They let us sit where we want and they brought us our food out fairly quickly. I feel like I would've liked this place more in the daytime.

Our waitress made us feel completely comfortable we were laughing, having side conversations, and genuinely enjoying ourselves all night. By the end of the evening, she even said, "Goodnight, love you!" and quickly laughed saying she didn't mean to say it. That pretty much summed up the vibe of the night friendly, relaxed, and memorable. The food was excellent from start to finish. I had the Caesar salad appetizer, which was very good, and my sister had the calamari, which she said was excellent. For our entrées, we both ordered the chicken parmesan with alavaca sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. To finish the night, we shared the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was the perfect treat. The portion is definitely big enough for two people, so I wouldn't recommend ordering one per person. The location is beautiful and right by the water true to the restaurant's name. The only small thing to note is the parking. There are two parking lots, and the first one is definitely the better option. The second lot leads closer to the waterfront entrance and can feel a little tight and snug when parking. Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely go back. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service.

We were off to a good start. The wait staff was attentive and regularly checked on us to see if we needed anything. The manager came out a few times to check on us, and the owner even stopped by to check on us and chat for a while. We were a party of 7 so I do not recall what everyone ordered, but I know everyone was very happy with what they ordered. I ordered the mussels in wine sauce and shared it with the others and everyone thought it was very good. There was also raw oysters from the North Shore that I thought were very good, but I am not a connoisseur of fine oysters like my cousin and mother. They both told me how great they thought the oysters were. I also had the grilled whole porgy and thought it was very nicely done with some blackening seasoning. All in all, was a great night with family I don't get to see often, and the staff and owner of Artie's deserve all the credit for for making it a great night. They all seemed happy to have us there, even though we stayed until past closing. I would definitely go there again when I am down on Long Island. Thank you to the owner and all the staff for making it a wonderful night out for my mother's birthday!

We ordered the New England clam chowder . Lacked flavor and I'll compare this to Jordan's which is nothing even close to it . It has less class then but just not something I'd order ever again. The mussels in white wine sauce smelled really fishing themselves , the sauce at the bottom was not that bad and the fresh bread bailed it out for sure . It was a weirdly fishy smell but edible . Got the scallop tar tar . Very fresh , cold with some onions, tomatoes and cucumbers with a side of bread and blobs of sriracha sauces . We ate it , and it was fresh but they didn't season it at all and sriracha should not be what flavors it for sure . Would not order that again either We ordered the pasta special with scallops , shrimp , and lumps crab. Good fresh in tomato cream sauce . Lacked flavor once again the chef needs to kno his flavors and or have a better eye for seasoning tings!!!! We also got the seafood fra diavolo spicy . I got the wrong dish just shrimp in tomatoe sauce, wrong dish was delivered, they did take the charge if the bill which was nice . But I was looking forward to trying the scallops and the rest of the seafood and waitress did apologize and said it was her fault but such an easy thing to listen to your customers and submit on your iPad. Another mention is the owner and head sever lady seemed to be arguing behind us about the cooks in the kitchen about not being ready and prepared. Which is unprofessional o w talk in front of customers . Also one thing I forgot to put in is that when we asked for hot water at the end they brought us brown water that was most likely boiled in a coffee pot . How do you not see that the water is brown ??? Like really any pot can boil Water . I really wanted to like this place since Jordan's burned and was closed wanted to the this place but the minute Jordan's is back and open I'm heading back over there for my fresh lobsters and dining .
