Originally the service at my house was not done well at all. I wont get into that but I did want to point it out. As a business owner I understand that some employees will either A. Make mistake or B. become complacent and lazy with their jobs. It is the follow up that i truly care about. That goes to show what the company is willing to do so that they can rectify the problem. Before I begin I will give the three (3) people I am thanking a little shoutout; - Scott Rosenboom - John Pittman - Megan White (Replacement for last person) Yesterday (11/14/2018) Pointe showed up ON TIME with not only a replacement for the person I was not please with but also 2 MORE PEOPLE! Immediately after arriving they greeted me and began asking what the problem was. After this they got right to work and began placing traps (I had them out for rats). Right away John went into the attic to observe what it looked like. At the same time Megan went into the crawlspace (Something the last guy wouldn't/couldn't do). Scott began walking my property looking for entry/exit locations for the rats. Extreme attention to detail, he noticed a few small holes around the house. Nothing that looked like they were going in the house at those locations. But lo, we rounded the last part of my house and sure enough. On one of my attic "vents" (custom slatting) which has a mesh behind it there was a HUGE hole in the mesh that the rats were getting though! We've been using Pointe Pest Control for six years and love them. After our first year I took a break but started seeing spiders at the change of seasons again, about two a day!. I was always after my kids to close the door and patio immediately, so we went back to their service. Their representatives are always polite and ask if we want anything on the indoors looked at. They always call ahead to let us know the day they are coming with the option to reschedule. Once my son spilled Cheetos out of his backpack by the front door, we had a zillion ants coming through the crack even after I cleaned it up. They treated the crack quickly and ants were completely gone and haven't come back. When we put in large vegetable and berry gardens they put out a few mouse catchers, which has been great, because I was starting to see them darting around whenever I went out to water. I've been solicitated by other companies, but I wouldn't change, because Pointe is doing such a great job, they're "green" and their prices seem comparable with other companies. read more

Let me start off by saying I used their service for almost a year before I'm finally throwing in the towel. They say service promise and they will come back out to retreat, which is great if you want to spend a significant time on the phone trying to reach them. Not every service should leave you wondering if anything was even done. Most recently my service tech was to treat my home on Aug 13th and notify me when they arrived so inside could be treated as well (I specifically called and made the request) Just to recieve an email saying they treated outside and knocked down any webs or nests. I went outside within 20 minutes to see no actual evidence of anyone having been there. Actual webs were across my porch. So I actually thought perhaps the email was sent in error. To my dismay not the case. Not only did they increase the service charge with no warning but want compensation for not having performed anything. $105 is the price I have to pay to be completely done with this company. This is a review of the initial visit of John Piel done on 26 June 2018. John called before his arrival estimating his arrival time. He was pleasant and dressed appropriately for his anticipated task. He questioned me about the problem (red ants) and he noted where the problem was occurring. He covered his shoes with coverings for his entire inside inspection and application of insecticide. He missed nothing. He then proceeded outside and sprayed appropriately around our home plugging foundation holes with a metal mesh. He removed multiple spider webs under eves. I have had a previous company over one year ago do an initial inspection and application of insecticide and I was impressed with his thoroughness, far more thorough than the last company. He explained the contract and the frequency of application including repeating his applications in 2 weeks if I thought necessary. This young man was very thorough and if he was my employee I would be proud to have had him represent me. I was very pleased. read more

We have been using Pointe Pest Control for three years, at two different residences, and have been very pleased. We are on the quarterly maintenance plan, where they spray the exterior and, upon request, will spray the interior. They call the day before the scheduled appointment to confirm as well as to find out whether we need any interior treatments. They will come to our house between quarterly visits to address any issues. They were able to solve a mouse problem a couple years back, have addressed wasp and hornets nests (even on a swingset in the yard!), birds nests, and ants. Tom, our service technician, is always friendly and helpful, and Sharon in the office has always been friendly and able to handle any request. read more

These guys are absolute scammers. They do a job for one house in the neighborhood and take the opportunity to knock on every door within a 2-block radius telling everyone that "Alex over here hired us, and so if you also do a job with us today it's half off," while pointing to whichever house was next door. Are you kidding me?? These guys really think that unsuspecting people would part with their hard-earned money because a random person in the neighborhood happened to need past control in their house? Also, there wasn't any "Alex" in our neighborhood. Pretty pathetic. I hope no one falls for this type of sales tactic. There should be a law against solicitation like this. Please be careful when having this company spray , they have sprayed into another persons yard and screened in porch without permission or contacting them. They have animals and the products they use are highly toxic. They have also scammed the people that live on the property they sprayed, we have a city mosquito spray that is done at night. This company sprayed at 9:00 a.m. on a windy day. Also read all the other complaints about billing and scamming...if the service doesn't work, why use them. Or find a responsible company!!! that doesn't spray when people are in there own property that are highly affected by these pesticides. read more

I began service with Pointe this year after using 3 other companies! I have to say what a difference. Not only have the controlled my ant and wasp issues but the service was definitely a step up from the last companies I've used. I don't feel like just a number here. The service from the salesman to the tech feels more one on one and they really took the time to help me resolve the problems I had. And I wasn't easy to deal with! Being super frustrated after multiple tries with other companies I was at my end but Pointe really came through and I am relieved to have found them. read more

Pointe Pest Control is dedicated to the customers satisfaction. Not sure why there are these negative reviews.. unfortunately, Yelp, is just where the complainers go! It takes both the customers cooperation and the company's to solve issues. We learned this from the technician who told us to always call when we noticied anything so they could come back out for FREE! Not to mention, we pay on a quarterly basis.. I have been using Pointe Pest Control services on a quarterly basis for almost a year now and I couldn't be happier. The technician is friendly and professional and the treatments are quick. If you have any problems after they have treated your home, they will come back as many times as you like, at no extra charge. We were having a significant ant problem that took two trips to resolve, but we have had no problems since. They are great and they even brush away the cobwebs on the outside of your home! read more

We have always had an ant problem at our home in the spring and fall. Nothing we used over the counter could stop the problem. Pointe Pest Control just happened to stop by our home at the time this was happening so we signed up. Within 3 days of treatment (outside of the home only) the ant problem was gone and never came back. Then we had some problems with spiders outside the home. We called them and once again the spiders disappeared. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone for their home. read more

At the moment of signing the sales man promise you the moon and the sun but when issues come up they don't act on their promises. You would thing pest control includes the most common pest but if I was you I will read the contract because many pests are not cover under the contract and they are an extra charge. Of course they say you can cancel anytime if you are not happy but when you try to cancel the respond is..... you are under contract so just deal with it. read more

I've used Pointe for a number of years now and still not sure if their services work or not. In all these years I've had one case where ants piled up in my kitchen; that was a one time situation. For years I've had a chipmunk problem right outside my patio in which they acknowledge they cannot prevent. Other than what I've mentioned here I have no pest control problems since I've used them. I've been a client for at least 5 years and have been very impressed with their service. They come to my house 4 times a year for maintenance which for the most part keeps the critters out but periodically I'll see some ants or spiders. When this happens, Pointe Pest Control quickly sends out a technician to supplement their quarterly application.This extra work has always been effective and I have never been charged extra for it. read more

Jacob was very responsive and helpful when he visited out home on June 14th, 2018. We had an ant problem, so he spread the gel that he assured me would eliminate them within 2 days. And he was correct! He also cautioned me about the plant that I had moved from the ant-filled window sill to the floor -- they might be in there. I'm really surprised to see the negative reviews. Maybe we've been lucky, but Pointe has been very professional, responsive and courteous. They have done as they promised and come out for free between scheduled appointments if we see any ants, which has happened a couple times, since we just started treatments this spring and it can take a few treatments to get rid of ants. After 3 weeks of repetitive treatments carpenter ants are now gone for good. Pointe lived up to its commitment and willingly re-applied products to affected areas. Similarly, we engaged Pointe to treat our property for Mosquitos. Service is prompt, focused and professional using top technicians respectful of the property and us.... the owners. Our service tech Jeff is awesome! We've been using Pointe for over a year now including the mosquito service. They have really truly helped us identify what and where our problem areas were and was set on fixing it. I've already recommended them to our new neighbors to help them with their wasp issue.
