I think the class happens every Tuesday/Thursday at 8:30AM and the fee was 20$ each. They provide some mats to share and recommend you cover them with a beach towel. The teaching included an opening meditation as well as a flow and some closing stretches. I would say the class was all-levels and appropriate for beginner yogis, and I think more advanced students could adjust as they see fit to do more challenging poses as well as enjoy the mindfulness opportunity of being near the ocean. I think everyone would enjoy this beautiful class with the delightful Anya. She also taught in combination with her fiance, which was very pleasant. I would recommend this class as a nice peaceful thing to do while visiting the beautiful garden isle of Kauai.

I went on yelp and found Barre Up Fitness, checked the website out and found a deal for $10 first class. Booked the first class, but got lost the first time since Im a tourist and dont know my way around. I called the number and spoke with Lisa. I was greeted by her kindness and compassion and let me tell you, she went above and beyond for me. She kindly clarified the location and set me up for a class the next morning. Even texting me and giving me in writing where to go, and wishing me well. The next morning, I got lost again, but i was closer to the destination. I called her and she quickly ran out to meet me and walk me inside making sure I wouldn't get lost. Upon meeting Lisa, you feel how kind and warm she is, eager to accommodate, and make sure I was comfortable. I was the only one in class that morning, and felt bad she came all that way just for me. She expressed every students is important to her, and she recognizes the time and effort I made to meet her so even, her personal rule of thumb is if it is just 1 person she will come. She is so sincere, and has a great recharging spirit. I told her I was used to Hot Pilates and she turned off the AC for me to taylor the experience for me. The class was "Barre", the Mat, weights, band was all set up and ready for me. Her instructions are clear, and her transitions are seamless. She made sure I had the right form so I wouldn't hurt myself, and would check if I was comfortable. I got a great workout and felt SOO good after. People really need to know about her!! If she was in instructor where I live in California, her classes would be Jam packed. I look forward to attending her class again when I visit Kauai. 100/10 If you're visiting, or a local contemplating on trying her class out, please don't hesitate. Do your mind and body a favor and go sign up.

I love the separate retail area with dangerously cute clothing and accessories. I noticed they also have a convenient changing area. The best part though was the light and bright studio with plenty of mirrors, barre space and props. The class I attended was a great workout and we did some different and challenging moves. I loved it! Definitely recommend checking it out. As with the original grip socks are required, so either bring your own or pick up a cute pair at the studio.

Me and my friend and his girlfriend came and worked out there at the beginning of our trip and it…read morewas awesome then we came to hit another workout today (the 24th of July) and the lady that was working there let us pay like usual then halfway through our workout she noticed my friend had slides on and said that they weren't allowed but at least he had a good workout. He then had to ask if that meant he was kicked out to which she replied yes but "at least you had a good workout" in the most demeaning tone you could imagine. we had been walking around before that IN FRONT OF HER and she hadn't said a thing and there were other people there that were wearing slides in plane view, but for some reason she targeted my friend and his girlfriend and kicked them out AFTER we had paid. Overall super disappointed because we are both powerlifters and have never had this issue before definitely won't come back.

Alannah has magic hands:) I like a very deep massage, but many practitioners don't (or can't) get that deep, and I had a slight concern that, because this was a prenatal massage, it might be too light. But it totally wasn't. Alannah has a very unique ability to massage very deeply but still feel gentle, and she uses ultra soothing strokes. I love that she only offers 90-minute sessions because it really gives you time to relax. (And her rate of $125 is still much better than at the resorts where the rate can be twice as much.) Also, if you happen to be booking her for prenatal, it's good to know that she and several of her practitioners have been midwives and doulas, so she had other tidbits of good info for me. My husband also loved his deep tissue massage with Rose--it was also deep yet soothing. I wish we lived closer to her! I would come all the time.
