I've been meaning to visit since they opened!! Today was finally the day to try their unique sushi burritos. 'Tis allergy season so my congestion encouraged me to try the ramen so I did a build your own. Egg noodles, tonkatsu pork broth, pork belly, mushrooms, egg, scallions, sesame seeds, seaweed meant big bowl of deliciousness! Staff is hospitable and shared extra tidbits and highlights about the menu since it was my first time. My fiancé and split a sushi burrito I forgot the name but it was extra succulent and juicy with the sauces, perfectly cooked rice, and fish. I loved their variety of lemonades - I picked the matcha lemonade which was refreshing! Managed to find street parking just fine on a late Sunday afternoon. 10/10 time! read more

The date was December 28th and the time was 7:30. We ordered sushi and witnessed the "chef" handle garbage with gloves and then proceed to handle food with the same gloves. Then, the blue hair woman, with her stomach exposed and hanging out of her shirt, vaped and blew smoke at food that was being prepared. Yes, we saw her vaping in the kitchen. Sushi is my absolute favorite and Poke Burri did not disappoint! We walked in greeted by the fresh smells of rice and seaweed my mouth immediately started watering. I ordered the ginger miso salad ( dressing was the best ginger dressing I've had), the Kungfu-rrito adding eel sauce. We shared the crab meat donut that was very pleasing to our taste buds. My dad got the Dynamite bowl adding seaweed in replacing the jalapeños. Everything was hands down so delicious and fresh !! Disappointed. This is usually our go to poke place. Tonight we picked up our bowls and there was a drastic difference in the amount of ingredients. I had to pay extra for seaweed salad which is fine however I didn't see any in the order. The avocado was like 4 tiny pieces and usually I get 3 shrimp this time there was only 2. The bowl itself was barely full and usually they do a good job of making it worth the money. Tonight definitely not worth it. read more

One of my favorite poké places! I love that they have shrimp tempura as an option because I don't always want the raw fish. Staff has been great as well as the place itself is super cute and they have seating outside of the weather is nice enough. I usually create my own bowl. And love it every time. 10 out of 10. This place is small. Not gonna lie. We ate inside and there felt like they had a scoop yard of children up in here. Noise level was tolerable even in the space they are in. Staff was very friendly. Nice and clean throughout. We got the Classic Ramen and Spicy Kimchi. I had the Classic and it was delicious. I was worried about the extra items they were going to have in the soup but it was like arranged in an açaí bowl patter so I was able to keep track of everything that I was stirring around. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. After waiting for over an hour for my poke bowl, as several online orders were going out, I noticed the cook digging in the trash can and then continuing to make food without changing her gloves, so I asked for a refund. They couldn't get in touch with the manager to refund me so I am out $40 and without food. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Earlier this spring EW and I meet at Poke Burri in West Ashley for lunch. I scored a street spot right in front of the entrance. Winning!!! I knew I wanted to order off the secret menu, which is really not that secret as it's written on the chalk board next to the register! Still I like the concept of a secret menu and was excited to order the sushi corndog. I also got the Brussels for us to share at the table and a dragon fruit lemonade. Everything was great. The different sauces on the corndog were great and let's be real, pretty much anything deep fried is yummy! I would love to see a sushi roll inside the corndog breading that has more flavor. More spice. More umami. It was a pretty basic bland roll. I do love Brussels and they make a good version that does have that heat and sweet. The dragon fruit lemonade was refreshing too. Pretty solid for Ramen! Super cute establishment. I chose the Kani salad to start with. I am a Kani salad girl no matter where I am if it's in the menu. I will say it was not my favorite. I would of liked more crab and not so much leafy lettuce. Or cucumbers and crab would be fine with me. The Thai tea was on point. I ordered the basic Ramen since it was my first time here. It was a great portion and had great flavor. I would try the spicy one next time for sure. The staff was exceptional. I would definitely go back. I got the black tonkatsu ramen and tuna sushi doughnut -- both were really good! I did feel like the ramen was missing a little something.. that umami that makes such a difference. But I also added in some of the spicy chili paste my husband ordered and the spice made it even better! I need to try one of the sushi burritos next time. Found this place while googling poke restaurants in West Ashley. It's one of the better reviewed spots so we gave it a go. We started with the Tokyo fries and a spicy tuna sushi donut. The fries were good but definitely frozen - they were basically Arby's fries with spicy mayo on them. And the mayo was only on the fries on top, so the ones on the bottom were dry and without sauce. The sushi donut was good, easier to eat with a fork that was provided. I made my own poke bowl with spicy tuna, avocado, cucumber, red cabbage, kimchi, and spicy mayo. It was a little spicy but not overbearing. The two small scoops of spicy tuna felt small in comparison to the rest of the bowl. I also wasn't given a lot of rice. It felt like the rice wasn't the base and was instead just an addition to everything else. That may just be a personal preference though. The employees were nice and our food came out really fast. It's extremely small inside but we were able to find a table for two. Wasn't sure how to park so we parked at the Harris Teeter and just walked over. Overall I did enjoy the food and experience so I'll definitely be back. read more

What a pleasant experience I had coming to Poke Burri the other day. I was across the street getting some work done at the coffee shop when it caught my eye. I ordered via GrubHub and headed over. For some reason (probably not the restaurant's fault) my order was cancelled and not available when I walked in. The amazingly nice woman behind the counter said no worries, took my order, gave me a discount for the inconvenience, wrapped a sushi burrito tighter than Snoop Dogg in the 90s, gave me a warm smile, and I was on my way. The burrito was delicious. Perfect combo of flavors and textures and adequately filling. A healthy source of protein and some veggies thrown in there as well. Great spot! We went for the first time with friends last night. On the whole, will definitely be back. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is an order at the counter space - limited seating (one bar and tables for maybe 14). Noting they don't have alcohol. We split a bunch of apps and all got our own entrees. The Brussels were spot on as well as the spicy tuna nachos. The pork dumplings are solid but nothing mind blowing. The sushi donuts were fine but needs soy sauce. The panko chicken poke bowl was excellent, will ask for light sauce next time. My husband really enjoyed the ramen bowl he got and our friends thought the sushi burrito they shared was great. I love the food here! So refreshing and the perfect portion size in my opinion. I'm a big fan of the poke bowls - and the ability to customize accordingly. The ginger dressing is my favorite. I've only ever ordered takeout and had two different experiences. First time was admittedly a disaster the team was understaffed (I believe 2 people called out sick) so I waited in person for ~30-40 min, on top of the ~30-40 min I buffered before driving there. The second time I ordered via Yelp and my order was ready in the window It said on the order. TLDR if you're in a time pinch, just be cognizant! read more

We came for lunch one day and lucked out and got a high top table. The restaurant was pretty busy. Ordering was easy. Getting the food was another issue as I watched everyone behind us get their food (and not just small orders) before we did. The employees would set food that was ready up near the registers and it didn't seem like orders were all together so tickets would get grabbed and food would get picked out for the ticket in hand. Some of the people that were getting their food first had ordered the same things we had so it was a bit frustrating. Once our food was finally ready, it was very good. Not sure where to leave my review since I ordered off both menus! Same location as Lifting Noodles. I ordered the pork dumplings. Tuna sushi donut, and a secret menu item, the crab corndog. My son is 11 but still a picky eater. He tried all three of those and loved the crab corndog, liked the sushi donut except would have preferred less spicy mayo or wasabi mayo, and also liked the dumplings. I loved all but I would probably skip the dumplings next time and chose something else to try just because I feel like they are not a unique item like the other two. read more

Hands down best poke place in SC. Not only are their sushi burritos tasty but their secret menu is SO good. The staff was friendly and our food came out pretty quickly. The inside was clean and there's a little bit of outdoor seating and a good amount of indoor seating. I got the craburrito, poke nachos, spicy tuna donut, Tokyo fries (secret menu) and poke corn dog (secret menu). Everything was fantastic tasting and beautiful looking. An Asian flavor explosion! I was excited to try this fusion poke restaurant located in Avondale in West Ashley. I'm delighted I did! I ordered take out and tried the super poke bowl, spicy tuna nachos and a side of each of their homemade sauces. The spicy tuna nachos were loaded with flavor and color. The base was wanton nachos. Ingenious! The poke bowl was a vivid mix of fresh heading piles of seafood including tuna, salmon and crab, & colorful veggies over sticky rice. I didn't want to go to crazy so I got the Dragonfruit Lemonade it's really good, Spicy Tuna Donut definitely one to try and from the secret menu the Sushi Corndog so good definitely a must try! I gave them my name and actually informed me that they had some kinda Karen sauce so I definitely had to try it. And the sauce is a must try too I dipped my corndog in it elevated the flavors very nicely. Overall if you like sushi and enjoy fresh fish this place is a must try!
