Cute little place w rice bowls here in Spokane. The best way to describe its layout is Chipotle-style. The inside is small and doesn't seat a lot of people, but it seemed like most people came to grab and go as there was no one there when we were there. The service was super fast. There were lots of protein, topping, and sauce options. I got the unagi and wish there was more flavor/sauce and substance (?) to the eel. The toppings all tasted fresh. The quantity of bowl is also definitely enough for a meal. The food is a bit on the pricer side for the casualness of the restaurant (about $16 per bowl), but the boba is the cheapest I've see in the Spokane area. No major complaints read more

I've gone here 3 different times, each time it's given me food poisoning. I realized this place was the cause the second time I tried this specific location, the 3rd time I just had boba and still same results- food poisoning. My wife and I took our daughters and their friends to Poke Express on South Hill. The restaurant was nearly empty, with just one customer ahead of us. Two employees were working--one making drinks and another preparing Poke Bowls. After ordering our drinks, we waited patiently while the children played in the lobby. When my wife approached the Poke Bowl counter to place her order, the employee finished serving the customer ahead of her, then left without acknowledging her presence. After waiting about a minute, my wife asked the drink-making employee if his colleague was returning. That employee called for the Poke Bowl maker to come back. When he returned, my wife asked, "You didn't see me here?" He responded, "I thought you were with the other group," gesturing toward the children waiting for their boba drinks. While waiting, the children stood on chairs near the counter to watch the drinks being made. The second employee reasonably asked them to get down for safety reasons, which they did. When our drinks finally arrived, one was incorrect and my daughter didn't want it. We requested it be remade, and my wife apologized. I told her quietly, "It wasn't our mistake. You don't need to apologize." At this point, the employee (who we later learned was the manager) became extremely agitated. He began yelling at us about our "attitudes" in front of the children, escalating the situation to the point where the children felt frightened. That's when I started recording the incident on my phone. Later, the manager claimed that other customers had complained about us being rude to his staff. We questioned this statement since we had observed only one other customer during our time there, and after serving that person, the manager had remained in the back until called out. read more

I was surprised to see that there were no customers at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. I had to wait at least 10 minutes for somebody to come out to help me. I was horrified when the young man started to assemble the poke bowl without gloves! I could only imagine where he was before touching my food. I told him I wouldn't eat there and walked out. I hope the owners pay attention and educate their workers about sanitation. it is unacceptable! read more

It is decent poke. They short you on the protein portions sometimes and are more expensive that other poke places, but not quite as good. Definitely does the trick, but not my favorite place in town read more

It's decent to Poke and just what we needed on the South Hill...my daughter alone is trying to keep this place in business by getting boba tea's as often as possible! Not sure what other yelpers are experiencing with the customer service, we have never had any problems and love supporting this growing local chain. read more

Poke Express is one of the businesses in this strip mall whose attitude seems to be suited for a derelict block in San Francisco. The sidewalk in front of all but the west four (B-R, Scotts, Joanns, and PetCo) is filthy, including Poke, with emptied ashtrays, spilled drinks, vomit and who knows what else. How can you keep your facade in such a state? Of them all, Poke is the worst. Disgusting and unhealthy. Your walk and outside seating is so disgusting that I have seen two people turn away from your business because of the filth. Why can't you see that the walk in front of your business is swept and cleaned every day? It obviously CAN be done, for it's rare to see such filth in any other strip mall in town. read more

Put off going to this location due to the poor reviews. Just visited for the second time to get boba and it was a great experience! Smoothie and milk tea were totally yummy. The guy did accidentally make us the wrong flavor of smoothie but as soon as my husband pointed it out he whipped up a new one no problemo and was completely kind about it. This isn't a one star because of their quality of food. This is a one star because of its staff. The owner is very rude to his workers. I ordered a shrimp bowl and the owner got mad at the young boy who was adding shrimp into my bowl because he added 10 shrimp instead of 6. Always delicious! Lot's of parking and indoor seating. I've had their smoothies - YUM, several teas - always BOMB, and of course, the poke bowl! The hubs and I have tried probably everything they have to offer in the poke bowl arena of flavor and it all hits just right. I definitely have a go to bowl now and it's nice knowing I'm eating something WAY healthier than the other options close by. Worst experience I've ever had in customer service. My family walked in all excited cuz we haven't had this before so we wanted to ask a few question and the 5 year old (not literally but she couldn't be more than 15) running the front moseyed on over and twiddled her thumbs while we were looking and my mom said, "we've never been here what's a good flavor to get or what do you recommend" and she barely even answered gave us no info at all we kinda just guessed and got something. We got our drinks and my brother and I absolutely hated it (not their fault at all we have never had it before) so we went to the front and told them "hey were so sorry but we've never been here before and we did not like these so we were wondering if it possible to get a smoothie instead or a refund" and the guy looked at me so confused like he never heard of someone not liking something before.
