    Clinkerdagger Bar

After trying to decide on a great place for a steak, this was the one in Spokane, Wa for us. Celebrating our 50th Anniversary , we wanted great food and atmosphere. Our hotel was along the river, with many trails to enjoy and travel on. We walked along the Centennial Trail to dinner. Our reservation was for 7:45, but went in a little early. We figured we would sit at their bar and wait. Great idea!! And yes you need a reservation. Clinkerdagger is in an old Flour Mill Building. It's beautiful, hats off to the interior designer. Beautiful wood, brick, soft lighting. The bar was great to sit in and order a drink and appetizer before dinner. I had an Impresso Martini and my husband ordered a Guinness, with that we shared an Artichoke and Crab Dip. Omg everything was so yummy. As we were seated, we were greeted with "Happy Anniversary!" Our waitress slipped a card on our table with Happy Anniversary and announced we would be receiving dessert, complement of Clinkerdagger. For dinner we ordered, a salad to begin with, a Caesar Salad for the husband and I the Broadway Pea Salad. Our waitress also brought to our table Garlic Buttered Bread. Wow, so tempted to devour it all!! Our entrees arrived, A prime rib for my husband and a Surf and Turf for me. Both entrees were Fabulous, and met our expectations for a steak dinner. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so impressive. Not to mention the odd bathroom stall. Surprises everywhere lol. Take a trip to Spokane, you won't be disappointed.

Why didn't I know about this place 20 years ago?!!! I'm an airline pilot and finally found this place after I told Grok to find me a place that locals go and has awesome food and is a local institution! We sat at the bar for Happy hour and the bartender was lovely! She indicated she's been there for 38 years! I got a cup of clam chowder and the prime rib sliders O-M-G! Best chowder ever, and the sliders melted in my mouth I practically didn't have to chew! Then I was informed about the Key lime ‍ pie!!! Not to tart! Perfect! It's in an old flour mill and hangs over the river! Do not STOP! Must Go!!!

Everything was great! The food was flavorful and delicious. Our server was kind and attentive. Definitely recommend a reservation. Would've been 5/5 if we had sat anywhere in the front room/ patio but sat all the way at the back table. Understandable. But made the ambiance a 4/5 versus 5/5. Awesome decor and really cool old building.

Really fun, upscale steakhouse. Great views of the waterfront - located in an older flour mill with more of an older, wooden style interior. The server was super friendly and knowledgeable. The Dijon chicken and mashed potato dish was AMAZING. The seafood trio was good (smaller portions of fish, but you are getting all three), fresh Caesar salad, nice garlic starter bread, and the Hugo spritz + Sauvignon blanc were amazing. Great experience.

This place was really good and the ambiance was great. Service was good and friendly. We sat on the patio and the weather was perfect. Food tasted great and portions were comparable to the pricing.

We chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner and were really looking forward to a relaxed, enjoyable evening. Unfortunately, the entire experience felt rushed and disorganized from the start, and it quickly went downhill. We were pressured to place our entrée orders before our appetizers even arrived. We explained multiple times that we wanted to wait until the appetizers were served our son was deciding whether he wanted to order the same dish again. Despite this, the server kept returning to ask for entrée orders. Two of us received our appetizers, while the other two waited over 30 minutes. Even during that wait, we were repeatedly rushed to order entrées, which made the evening feel stressful instead of celebratory. For appetizers, one of us ordered the Seared Teriyaki Beef Tidbits, which were enjoyed. Another ordered the coconut shrimp, which was described as very bland. When we finally placed our entrée orders, three of us ordered prime rib (medium), and one ordered the teriyaki beef again. From there, everything fell apart. The teriyaki beef entrée was overwhelmingly salty so much so that it was completely inedible, as if an entire bottle of salt had been poured on it. My prime rib was sent back twice because it was not cooked to medium; it arrived well-done both times. When I pointed this out, the server blamed the lighting rather than acknowledging the issue. My husband's meal was overcooked the first time and raw the second. The lack of consistency was incredibly disappointing, especially for an anniversary dinner. The potatoes were stiff and so firm they could practically stand upright on a fork. The drinks were extremely watered down. Even our kids commented that their food was overly salty. We never complain or write negative reviews, which makes this especially hard to share. This experience was genuinely heartbreaking, and we left feeling disappointed rather than celebrated. We didn't even stay for what we assume may have been an anniversary dessert we were simply done. I'm sharing this not to be harsh, but because the restaurant needs to know. We hope this feedback helps prevent other guests from having the same experience.

4.5 Stars I don't understand why this spot is sub 4 stars. It's a spot right on the Spokane river with magnificent views, and such unique vibes - it's half old time pub (no river views, but TVs), half rustic cabin (the half with the river views). They serve up yummy gourmet seafood and steak dishes. I tried - French Onion Soup ($12) - I was surprised at how good this was! Flavorful broth and caramelized onions with LOTS AND LOTS of gooey cheese and a bit of bread. Blackened Rockfish ($27) - The Fish was fresh and seasoned wonderfully, and the herb couscous was the perfect complement. And OMG that Beurre Blanc sauce I could drink it. I'm glad I only had a little tureen of it. Yo girl is getting chonky. I'll leave room for dessert next time ;) Seems like a great place for celebrating a birthday (free dessert!) since I noticed few tables celebrating their birthday. The hostess is lovely and Danielle is the coolest!

Our server Nathan, was best in class. He was so friendly and had the best energy. We loved him. This was so fresh and delicious. We had the seafood Sample. I highly recommend. The Dijon chicken was wonderful as well. Our dessert was the chocolate multon cake. Highly recommend we will be back.

I can see why people like this place. It's cozy, has beautiful views, variety of menu offerings, friendly service. The lighting was terrible so the photos look bad . This reminds me of the old Black Angus restaurants, which were popular in Seattle. They offer seafood and a really good prime rib. I wasn't blown away by the food as everything tasted basic, but it was good.

    Favorite booth.

Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. The cocktails are fun. Celebrated my wedding night there with my sweetie.

A deeper dive showed a good possibility of gluten free options, so I made the reservation. I was in town on a Monday, just after Hoopfest, but they were the kind of busy where a reservation should always be made I think. My table was ready and I sat in the bar at a high top table. I think I would choose "in the dining room" next time. My server was friendly and quick, as well as knowledgeable about gluten free options. There is even a separate menu that lays out the dishes that are already gf or could be made to be. Love this, always. I ordered the summer salad to start. It was amazing. Flavorful. Fresh. The mint wasn't overpowering, the watermelon was the perfect ripeness. It was so good. I would try to recreate it but it was done so well, and I know I couldn't hit that dressing in the same way. Get it while you can. For my main, I had ordered the scallops in my brain before I even arrived. The risotto was a little soupy, but the flavor was SO good. The corn came through and it went so well with the scallops. The tomatoes were quite over salted, but as long as I didn't eat them alone, it was alright. The scallops were perfectly cooked and I felt like the portion was appropriately sized for the dish, even though there were only 4. My server really made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was busy but the booths looked like they could be cozy. The prices were on the higher end. But for a special occasion, it was worth it. I really wished I'd had room for dessert. I will surely go back the next time I am in town.

First off, I was looking for an authentic Napoli style pizza. Like a fresh red sauce from crushed tomatoes and a beautiful chewy, pillowy, yet charred crust. The verdict: Wooden City is the winner! The crust is really really good! The sauce is a bright beautiful tomato sauce that looks like crushed tomatoes however, the sauce was lacking flavor:( I would give this pizza a 3 out of 5. The crust is a 4 1/2 star but the sauce lacking in flavor..brought it down to a 3. Cute place, very pleasant friendly staff..way friendlier vibe than Barrelhouse. The boys are easy on the eyes for younger girls on the hunt! Lmao Don't bother with the Margherita pizza at Barrelhouse. Thank God I only paid $12 for the Margherita Monday deal of half off! The crust was horrible! Dominos has better crust! Costco pizza's had a better crust! The sauce has flavor, very garlicky like fresh garlicky but more of a paste with a load of oregano in it. The cheese didn't have that fresh taste I was hoping for. However, they are known for their Detroit pizza's which I haven't tried but if it's the same sauce, I would pass. Not saying it's bad but it's just not MY cup of tea whether it's for a Detroit style or any pizza. Now you don't have to guess which place has a better Margherita pizza. I wouldn't even pay $12 at Barrelhouse for a marg. Would I come back, yes, if I were in my 20's.. lol but since I'm older and the food is more important to me...no...:/ But hey, maybe their other pizza's are better! I can see a salty pepperoni being good!

While this Downtown location is the flagship diner, Frank's Diner also opened a second location in North Spokane. [Parking]: The diner has a designated parking lot and I had no issue finding an available spot at 6 PM on a weekday. [Atmosphere]: Upon entering, there is a sign stating that the diner serves "15 thousand eggs and 3 tons of hash browns per month." The railcar has a great retro vibe and visitors can choose between bar seating and table seating. [Menu]: Yelp's top recommended items include Eggs Benedict and Chicken-Fried Steak. Breakfast favorites are served with hashbrowns or fruit and a choice of toast. There is also no extra charge for adding gravy or grilled onions to your hashbrowns. Do yourself a favor and choose the hashbrowns and also ask to add gravy on hashbrowns. *** Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs (Half-pound crispy chicken fried steak with cream gravy and two eggs - sunny side, gravy on hashed brown, biscuit - $22.00): My waitress, Jenn, recommended the biscuit so I went with it. The hashbrowns were absolutely heavenly - crispy on the edges and moist on the inside. It was hands down one of the best hashbrowns I have ever had. The gravy was silky smooth. And holy crap the biscuit was a home run - ultra fluffy + amazing tasting jam (not overly sweet). The portion was so large that I had enough leftovers for the next day. *** It was an unexpected find in Spokane and absolutely S-tier for both food quality and service. In fact, I think the food here is better than many classic and upscale breakfast spots in Los Angeles. Absolutely a must-visit in Spokane.

I felt as if our server should have told us immediately that this was a shared option, but even then to make every person pay $57 is nuts for the portion of food that you receive. We are content creator, so we happen to record every dish that we received. ( the leisurely) First thing they brought out was roasted nuts and marinated olives. (6/10). Some of the olives were hard, but the roasted nuts were pretty good. 2. My wife is allergic to shrimp so they were gonna bring out the grilled ponds but instead the chef decided to bring out brussels sprouts. (2/10). It was awful. I almost gagged legitimately, and my wife felt the same, the brussels sprouts also had a foul smell to them as if they were spoiled. - it was paired with the winter salad. In my opinion, that was the second best thing that they brought out. It was very rich in flavor, colorful as well. 3. They then brought out some pasta. Tagliatelle Pasta. This is the best thing that they brought out. The noodles were fresh and the meat choice ( roast) paired very well and it was mildly flavorful, enough to swing both ways but we'd say it swung in the right direction. I'd give it 8.5/10. 4. They then brought out steelhead trout with couscous and cauliflower with roasted carrots. - I think the audacity to give two full grown adults. A 1/3 portion of fish is quite literally disrespectful. It was so disrespectful until it just made me want to leave even more than I did whenever they brought out the brussels sprouts. The piece of fish itself was not seasoned, but it happened to pair slightly with the couscous and whatever sauce. It was quinoa actually.. (6.5/10) flavor wise. I hate really complaining about food, but this was so underwhelming.. that I may have contested the bill if my baby didn't poop out of his clothes during the visit. I will likely update this review with all of the photos once we upload the video just so everyone get an idea. ---- Overall, we would've been much happier, ordering individual dishes off the menu. I don't want to shit all over this place because I do believe it has potential, but I would not advise anyone to do the leisurely. The couple behind us actually didn't eat any of their food either and they apparently chose the same option and she was very upset so I'm glad that we weren't the only ones. I don't think we will return back to this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.
