Always love coming here. The food is always worth it. We are never worried about food positioning just excited about how delicious everything is. They just made their menu bigger which makes it even harder to decide what to eat.

We were visiting Spokane for the day and were on a hunt for sushi. We decided on this spot based on reviews and came on a Saturday around 6 pm. I HIGHLY recommend you make a reservation if wanting to come here at peak times. The dining area is pretty small so it fills up quickly on busy nights. We were told it would be about a 45 minute wait. There's a mall close by so we killed time there. The wait ended up being a little over an hour but the sushi was really good! Everyone was friendly. I will definitely be coming back if I'm in the area again.

A Decent Sushi Spot with Friendly Service and Stylish Touches Our experience at Umi Kitchen and Sushi Bar was overall pleasant. The pricing felt average for a sushi spot, and the food landed in that same category--solid, but not exceptional. We ordered the Himachi Supreme ($18 for 6 pieces) and the Yellowtail Collar. The Himachi sashimi itself was fresh and enjoyable, but what stood out most was the sauce--it was beautifully balanced and really elevated the flavor of the fish. In fact, we found it much more complementary than the sauce that came with the Yellowtail Collar, which leaned too sweet and strong for our taste. As for the Yellowtail Collar, the grilled fish was decent, though a bit drier and less flavorful than we hoped. Personally, I'd opt for Black Cod or Butterfish miso over this dish in the future, as those tend to be juicier and more delicate in texture. Despite that, the overall experience was still good. The restaurant was clean, and service was attentive and friendly. I don't think we'd go out of our way to return, as the food was relatively standard compared to other sushi and sashimi spots we've tried. However, for a small bite near downtown Spokane or Riverfront Park, it's a convenient and enjoyable stop. One thing that stood out in a great way was the interior design--I really liked the modern lighting fixtures hanging overhead. Their varying shapes and heights--some resembling ovals, spheres, UFOs, or vases--added a fun, stylish flair to the dining space. There's also outdoor seating, which is a nice option, though we noticed a lack of umbrellas, making it harder to find shade on sunny days. Final Thought If you're in the area and looking for a quick sushi stop with good ambiance and service, Umi Kitchen is a decent pick. Just don't expect standout flavors beyond the Himachi Supreme.

While shopping in Kendall Yards, Mary and I stopped in for the first time. There is a modern upscale feel. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated. We ordered the Godzilla roll and Alaska roll; both were fresh and delicious. Get in here and give them a try.

Best sushi spot in Spokane! Super fresh and quality sushi. The menu has a vast variety of rolls + fish options, as well as other options like stir fry entrees, bento boxes, appetizers and more- options for everyone. I recommend getting a reservation because they have two small rooms that fill up fast. The servers were super attentive and quick to get our food out + you can see the chefs making the sushi. Highly recommend!

Hands down.... Fantastic spot! Spokane role (modified to soy paper, add shrimp tempura) is my new FAVE!!!! The tuna nigiri was fall off the fish fresh. And all shashmi and my husbands rolls were excellent paired with an old fashioned. 11/10 recommend!

Umi Sushi bar is the place to go for good and big sushi rolls that will satisfy that belly. The service is fast and efficient and the dine in experience is very welcoming for any occasion.

Sensational experience right on the river with some of the best sushi and crab rangoons I've ever had. I've tried many Rangoon fillings in my life and this was in the top 3 easily. Wonderful service with Marlena. A cozy modern fusion restaurant in a nice area.

Located in a very cute downtown Spokane neighborhood. The restaurant is pretty small, but it had a lot of good choices. As a relatively big group, they were able to piece together some tables so we can all sit together. The food was good but very overpriced in my opinion. I got their dry pot which was delicious (though it could use a lot more spice) and a lot of food. My friends got sushi which all looked amazing.

First time in and I cannot say enough positive things. The servers and the host we interacted were both so friendly. The restaurant is very family friendly. The restaurant itself is a little smaller and the back patio is for 21 and over. For sushi we ordered: spokane roll, spicy tuna roll and the rod roll. We also ordered fried goyza & chicken chow mein, our daughter doesn't eat sushi yet. The portions for the chow mein are HUGE! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, highly recommend!

Searching for reasonably priced sushi revealed Umi on Yelp! I had to try it. There is an upper and lower level. I entered the upper level just before 5:00 P.M. on a Sunday, and it was fairly packed. No worries, they sent me downstairs, and I sat at the bar below. There were a number of tasty looking rolls on the with menu. I ordered the Godzilla and Spicy Scallop Rolls and a seaweed salad to start (they don't have a ginger salad). All three were fresh and delicious. I would definitely come back.

Excellent salmon roll and sashimi combo. Very good service and overall ambiance. Definitely a recommended restaurant in Spokane, WA!

Near downtown Spokane and plenty of free parking. Sat on the patio. Was greeted promptly and had our drink order taken. Server was pleasant and helpful. I do not eat Sushi so cannot comment on the taste of the food or even what the sushi they ordered was! The did enjoy it though. Said it was very good. I had a teriyaki chicken with rice and veggies. The veggies were sparse in this dish. The chicken did not have much flavor. It was just ok for me. Husband ordered a sake. It came in a glass? Never seen that before. Worth trying again.

The food here is fantastic. My sashimi was fresh and beautiful, with big portions. My two friends I…read morewas with each got rolls and loved the portions and flavor-- we've gone to several sushi places in Spokane and this is our favorite for the deliciousness of everything we tried. So, as far as the basics of quality ingredients and crafted sushi/sashimi, Sushi Blossom is tops. The reason for only four stars is the service. It was busy (we were there at 6 pm on a Tuesday, so also a great nod to how good it is here that the place was bustling on a weeknight). But our service was really pretty poor. I have no desire to put a young lady working as a server on blast, so I'll just say we waited an extra-long time, and felt as a table like we were irritating or inconveniencing our server, though we ordered right away, had no adjustments to what we ordered, and just sat waiting a long time patiently. We didn't complain, and thanked our server when she brought our food. But if I'd been with someone who didn't already love Sushi Blossom and was my guest, this would have felt pretty embarrassing, like we were doing something wrong by being customers. However, that was just one young lady on one night out of LOTS of dining experiences at Sushi Blossom, most of which have been excellent. So we'll happily be back, and put this one experience behind us. The food, once again, is so, so good. If you're looking for great sushi in Spokane, this is a fantastic place to try!

We came in and put our name down, got a table after about 40 minute wait. We were seated at the sushi bar which we didn't mind, got to see the sushi being made! I ordered a drink, the coconut mojito. It was so delicious. Perfectly sweet, tart, tropical, I can come here just for the drinks because they are perfect every single time. We knew what sushi rolls we wanted to we got our personal favorite, the Las Vegas roll. Then got the Godzilla roll and the Fresh roll. All were so so good, my favorite is still the Las Vegas roll but the fresh roll was delicious with the fresh lemon on top! I will return again and again for the sushi and drinks, it's top tier! I will say the service was lacking. I understand it was very busy but we didn't get checked up on once and we ran out of water at the beginning of the meal and never got a refill on water. I also wanted to try a drink from the specials menu but opted not to because our waitress never came around so I can order anything else. Maybe next time. Food was outstanding but on a busy day, the service was very disappointing.

The appetizers are awful. We got the combination, the fried tofu was bland and flavorless, the mini egg rolls tasted heavily of dirty fry oil, the gyoza were the best of bunch; crispy and good flavor. The sauces were bottle but again that doesn't matter much to me. The sesame balls were once served with salted coconut cream but now with a whipped cream and served on a bed of cabbage(?) I had the Washington sushi roll. It was beautiful and honestly I've yet to have sushi here that isn't beautiful. The fish was fresh and the masago was crisp and salty. The pickled ginger is spicy and tangy and pairs perfectly with the creamy imitation crab filling. The sweet and sour chicken was saucy and sticky but not very crunchy. It's good but not great. The tom kam gai is a sour soup with slight coconut undertones. It contained noodles, carrots, cilantro, a mushroom, and chicken. The noodles were okay but the chicken was very dry which a bit crazy cause it's in a soup(?) The Lion King roll was interesting. I found the cream cheese mixture to be too much and paired with that fishy taste of the cooked salmon was just okay. The egg flour soup was thick and tasted heavily of veg. I liked it but wouldn't order it again. The thai teas are so perfect! Balanced perfectly between herbal and cream! I will mention though the fish and veg are really fresh along. I will also mention the presentation of the meals were gorgeous!
