Got greeted right away, even though the one employee was helping someone else. Juggling multiple things at once, well done. It looks like this place was very nice looking when it first opened, but holy smokes is it cluttered now. Did they forget to design storage for cups and plates and stuff? Very strange, especially considering how cool the decor behind all the boxes looked. I didn't know what poke (pronounced poh kay) is, but sounded good so I gave it a whirl. Basically this is deconstructed sushi in a bowl, although you can get it as a salad instead of with rice. I guess this is what Elvis was talking about when he sang about Poke Salad? Anyway, there are lots of fresh options for protein. Really love the spicy ahi! Brown rice is my preferred way to go. Then you get a whole mess of veggie options as well as stuff like hard boiled eggs or grated cheese to add on. Then you get your choice of a bunch of cool sauces, Spicy Hawaiian being my fave. Great flavor and the heat sneaks up on you! All in all really solid, and a nice break from the same boring Americana spread all over the Spokane Area. read more

I have been wanting to try this place, ever since I saw the "coming soon" sign on the building. I was finally able to make it tonight. Delicious. I originally set out to get the small bowl, but the scoops of fish looked rather small, so opted for the large bowl. My bowl has a spinach base with regular and spicy tuna and salmon, topped with double masago, double scallions, scoop of endamame, and avacado. It has the house poke sauce, then topped with shredded nori. Ended up costing $14.13 (with tax), but it tastes fresh and will try a different bowl combination the next time. Everything was OK. I feel like I didn't get very much fish at this location and the scoops were extra small of everything that's considered a topping. Kind of weird to see my seaweed salad covered in sauce since it's usually on the side of a Poké bowl. Also, the employee was sitting in a table on his phone when I came in and asked me to wait a second while he finished doing whatever on his phone. I cannot resist Poke especially when the sun is out! If you come in to eat, you will have to order at the counter and pick a seat. I wouldn't recommend ordering delivery though. They have 2 options, 2 scoops or 4 for rice and then either Tuna or Salmon or half/half and onto the toppings. The fish is always fresh and amazingly flavorful and you do have the option of just diced fish, unflavored. Toppings are fresh veggies, peppers, jalapeños, onions, radish, edamame, greens, etc and some crunchy toppings like nori and crunchy onions or sesame seeds sprinkled on top. However you chose to top your rice, you won't be disappointed. They drizzle sauces on top of the fish for the fish to come together and the sauces range from house sauce to spicy Mayo and teriyaki. I only wish they had bigger spoonfuls for the fish addition and it would help if the person at the counter spoke English but we figured it out in the end. If you haven't tried Poke, I'd recommend making a stop here. read more

Terrible customer service, the owner or manager was extremely rude. Practically yelled at us while we were ordering our meal and to top it off when we ordered our poke bowl to go he didn't even follow the instructions and did what he wanted. Worst customer service ever and the gentleman that came in after us was also appalled at his manner. Notably when we entered the Poke Express he seemed upset that we came in, he then carried his conversation with whoever he was speaking with on his phone and did not even acknowledge us until we said can you help us. We ordered poke bowl and ice cream. He over charged us on the ice cream evidently it is no longer 6.99 but now it's a different price. After serving us the ice cream I told him that he was missing some ingredients and I pointed out on the paper menu that he did not give us the total amount of ingredients. Honestly not sure how he keeps this establishment open from the treatment he gives customers, I hope he can change his attitude and give at least the bare minimum of customer service because this was down right awful. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible customer service. We weren't even greeted when we walked in. Anything that we asked for was returned with a rude response or no response at all. The setting was depressing with boxes all over the place. My partner and I both asked for multiple different things that were listed on their menu and were told "we don't have that". What do you mean you don't have something that's on your menu? I could understand running out of something but he blatantly said they didn't have it. Once we finally got our ice cream there was no flavor in either of ours it tasted like frozen milk. After a few bites we both threw them away from getting an upset stomach. Another protein option was imitation crab while other poke restaurants have this as a topping. They do not have fountain drinks. They sell canned or bottles drinks to include bottled water. When you first arrive you can see a menu outside the building and they also have little menus that you can take with you. You walk through a buffet style line where they will ask you steps 1-5 for your bowl. We got a large bowl. Step 1 we picked white rice Step 2 we got all salmon but you can pick multiples of fish Step 3 we picked fish eggs (not on the menu) sweet corn, 2 orders of seaweed salad, avocado, and scallions. Step 4 we were able to try their different sauces so don't be afraid to ask. We decided on their Ponzu sauce (also not on the menu) Step 5 we got the shredded Nori aka dried seaweed. All of the ingredients tasted pretty fresh but the salmon wasn't very flavorful but looked really fresh. Might try different combinations of sauces next time to help with flavor. The ponzu sauce was pretty tasty except for the fact it's really thin sauce so it all sank to the bottom of the bowl. read more

Delicious! The Ahi and salmon were very fresh. I loved all the ingredient selections. The sauces were delicious. Great quality & big portions for a fair price. I love that you can substitute fresh greens instead of rice! The guy who served us however really needs to works on his customer service. His English is very poor and he couldn't really understand us, even though we were mostly just pointing at what we wanted, but he was hostile and very unfriendly. The fish never tastes fishy, and the portion sizes are pretty good for the price. I LOVE their spicy tofu there, which is saying a lot because I never like the tofu options at poke places. One tiny critique I would say is the customer service at times, sometimes feel rushed or like the guy is upset or bothered - I don't really care, but others might. Ok, I have recently become a fan of Poke. Love the food! However, I have to give only half of the stars and I'll list the reasons why. 1. Attitude. They have a lot of it. Not friendly. Don't even smile. 2. Attire... this is the 2nd time I've come in and the young lady didn't have any pants on. She was wearing a long shirt that covered her bum, and possibly swimsuit bottom, and what appeared to be a swimsuit top tied around her neck. She wears pigtails and is attractive but the lack of hospitality really makes me not want to go there... but it's so good. I suppose we'll just have to resort to going to another location. If a person comes in and they're spending money on family, or just themselves, it's nice to have, I guess, old-fashioned service. Where someone behind the counter is happy you chose their restaurant over hundreds of others, can smile, and have a friendly conversation that doesn't require a scantily dressed lady to bring in customers? The food sells itself! Lol. Maybe if the attitude went up so would the amount of customers. There was some music playing but I think that was the only other nice experience besides the good food. Boxes were piled on some tables in the back that were there a couple of months before when we came in the first time. *Mid-writing this, I decided to review the reviews. The food was very tasty and they have so many options. The staff was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I enjoyed my food here, thought the fish tasted reasonably fresh. I got the large and had no trouble finishing it though....so it is more expensive than what you would get in a big city...more akin to a small. Like that avocado and seaweed salad are free toppings as some places will charge you extra for those. The sushi rice was nice and warm and I actually really liked that. I'll likely be back. Oh they are open for for takeout at least as of last week during the covid stay at home order. They were wearing masks too. read more
