This is the place that all poke places want to be when they grow up! There are many specialty bowls in addition to customizable bowls. I appreciate the variety of sizes and flavors, both bowl and combo sizes. The flavor combinations are so good - I often want to do my own thing at poke shops, but I've always gone with the pre-created bowls here. Plus, the avocado bomb is one of the best things I've ever gotten in any poke shop. If you don't like raw things, there are plenty of cooked options as well. The staff are really friendly and happy to offer suggestions, though they do have a fancy ordering screen so you can customize in peace. I'm so sad that I live an hour away; otherwise I'd go weekly (though even with the drive, I have been back twice since I first went a few weeks ago - it's that good). read more

Went here with my wife today. She liked her ramen which she was halfway done eating before I got my food. I ordered the oven baked salmon don bowl. They said they didn't have any full salmon filets left but could use poke salmon. I figured no big deal since they would still oven bake it. When I finally got my food I could barely eat it. My wife is a chef and even she agreed the salmon didn't taste right. She was like oh that has gone bad. I know this sounds weird but it had this really bad "fishy" taste. I've had all kinds of fish plates. My wife makes a killer salmon sinigang that even has the fish head in the soup and that didn't taste as fishy as this plate. The taste was so overwhelming. Well about an hour later I had really bad stomach cramps and a severe nauseous feeling. I am convinced the fish was bad! Never going back. One and done. read more

What a hidden gem! We were visiting town and found this in a Yelp search and decided to give it a try. Wanting to peruse the menu we used the self serve kiosk, and we ended up just placing our order that way. The helpful staff called us over because I'd missed some options on the order screen. Although the food was good I wouldn't go there for bubble tea cause the tapioca balls where pretty overcooked and it's powder tea but I do like how much you can add on to the bubble tea and customize it! This place is awesome. Customer service was friendly and helpful. We had the Vegan Udon soup and a Vegan Poke Bowl and both were awesome with great flavor and fresh ingredients. Also, we tried the vegan Spam Musubi. I was hesitant to try it but totally didn't regret it. This place is definitely my favorite place in Burlington now. Poke Oasis is simply incredible. The owner is very welcoming and friendly, explaining poke and other dishes to anyone walking in from the newest poke customers to the seasoned consumer. The predefined combinations are creative, fun, and try to celebrate popular sushi roll flavors. They have such a breadth of veggies and proteins. The combo is well worth it as the appetizers are delicious (we enjoyed the gyoza and the chicken). The miso soup is also amazing (and fun to sip out of a mug). I'm going to give it a three. I think the food was of a good quality, but I would rather have sushi in a roll. I probably won't go back. The others in my party were also first timers. They live locally so I think they would be more likely to drop in while out shopping, but I don't think it will be high on their go to places. Give it a fair try, it may be perfect for you. First off- the owner was so awesome and immediately walked us through their menu. We did build our own poke bowls. They had options that our usual poke places don't have including seared tuna and seared salmon. So many different toppings and sauces. So delicious! Every component in our bowl was so fresh and tasty and was crave worthy. I can see ourselves seeking out this specific restaurant when in the mood for poke- it was that good! Also have boba tea. I recommend using the kiosk in the corner for ordering so you can see every possible option. But if that's overwhelming they have preset bowls that are designed around the concept of a deconstructed sushi roll!! read more

This place is so good it really needs to be franchised. Do NOT think for one minute... because the word POKE is in the name of the place its another one of those unimaginative raw sushi, sashimi kind of places. This is run by a Korean family (mother, her sister, & June the star chef are fixing extraordinary food here. June (male) is the king-pin zipping around in his exhibition kitchen whipping up creative, custom mega-bowls of everything from salmon, scallops, yes there is tuna(poke) but so much more....everything is available...its almost overkill from fish to chicken to veggies all with a unique tenderness that melts in your mouth. Its all laid out creatively on top of what you choose...brown or white rice with sweet & crunchy flavor bomb toppings that go pop in your mouth. Sprinkle some furikaki seasoning (tasty Japanese condiment consisting of seaweed, sesame seeds etc) ON TOP of everything. You can create a custom bowl or pick from a plethora of 'good-2-go' featured BOWLS on the menu. I had a lovely bowl of chicken UDON noodles one night, or there are Ramen dishes, or even the famous sluce of SPAM over a Nori-covered rice bar with the egg flan. . Bottom line: You want it? June will make it. And it will be so fine that your eyes will be rolling into the back of your head, as you exclaim...'OMG THATS SO GOOOOOD.' Or...'I can't stop eating this!' Been there THRICE (get...no pun intended): got a huge portion of tasty salmon tempura (there must have been 8 pieces of crispy tempura salmon (!) laid out on yummy brown (purplish) rice.
