It's a cute little restaurant. I ca around 5:30pm and it wasn't that busy, but seemed like people liked it. I got to choose where I sat. And there were menus on the table. I the waiter came stopping and took my order quite quickly. I ordered the egg rolls and a largbrisket phõ. The egg rolls were crunchy and very flavorful. The sauce with the egg rolls was sweet. The pho broth was really savory, but a little too oily. I added all of the sides and hoisin and siracha to it, which helped a little. read more

Asian Grill has become one of my fave takeout spots in MV. Their pho is fantastic, and I love that they have it in a large or small size. Although, who are we kidding, it's only $1 more for the large and who doesn't like a little leftover pho in their life?! I also love to get one of their vermicelli bowls, heaped high with grilled pork and, of course, a crispy eggroll. Their signature Vietnamese-style sauce is made in-house and adds the perfect sweet-spicy-saltiness to the dish. Service is always quick and friendly here. I've never eaten inside (it's pretty basic in there), but the takeout is always hot, fresh, and ready to pick up as soon as I get there. read more

The people there are super friendly. I had a couple of banh mi sandwiches to go and a noodle plate with grilled pork. I also had the pork skewers and fried tofu. The peanut sauce with the tofu was thick and a little heavy on the peanut flavor, it could use a little dilution with the amazing sweet fish sauce. Some condiments other than Sriracha would be appreciated on the table, but that's a minor complaint. The pork skewers were delicious! A little char would make them top tier, but the flavor was so good it didn't really matter. The banh mi sandwiches were delicious as well, but needed more jalapeños to balance them out. I'm nitpicking at this point. I highly recommend giving them a try or three. read more

There are about 8 tables inside, so a small family type spot. It was clean, and only two other parties were there when we arrived. The employee pointed at the tables and told us to sit wherever we'd like. She brought us menus, and waters. It seemed like she was working alone as we had to wait a bit to order and etc. The food was flavorful, but the egg roll was a bit dry. There aren't many Vietnamese options in the area, so I'd say this is definitely one of the top ones, if not the top one, in the area. The spring rolls were a bit small and had little ingredients. Ordered the grill pork coi cuon (spring rolls) and was a little disappointed. Don't let the tacky façade and decor dissuade you from ordering food here. My dad and I had Thai iced teas, fresh spring rolls, and a mango salad. All were fantastic. The ingredients were fresh and crunchy and delicious. The mango salad was 80% mangoes with carrots, sliced almonds and sweet chili sauce topped with three skewers of four shrimp each with diced onion between -- fantastic! The fresh rolls were filled with chicken vegetables, lettuce, and a little bit of noodles and rice. It was a very nice balance. Service was friendly and quick. I hope they have the chance to improve the look of the restaurant from the outside, as well as the inside in the future. The food alone is worth coming back for! read more

The pho was good. Broth was decent. It's missing that umami fish sauce for a more aunthentic taste. Lots of meat! I like how they did individual plates of bean sprouts/thai basil and lime. Ask for the garlic chili oil. Puts a little spice to the pho. The fresh spring rolls were just alright in my book. Not something I'd order again. Well it's been a while since we tried this place again and let me tell you. Things have changed for the better! We got steak pho, shrimp fresh rolls, chicken mango salad and a Vietnamese iced coffee and wow! The mango salad might be my new favorite dish in mount Vernon. It was fresh, bright, healthy, full of flavor like ginger and simply amazing. It has a ton of mango (quite unripe which I understand is a thing) but a pleasant surprise. Everything else was top notch. Coffee was strong and super good too. The lady at the front counter was full of smiles and very kind. I recommend this place hands down. We don't eat out very often so it's a BiG treat when we do and this really made it worth it! Thanks for a wonderful dinner! read more

The last time we came here the woman working at the counter told my husband I was too skinny and needed to eat more. I laughed thinking it was a one off. I came here again because the food was good last time. I searched to make sure they had vegetarian pho, they have it with beef broth. I ordered something else, then asked for a mango salad and to leave the meat off, she said I had to have meat, I asked if it was mixed in and she said it was on top and it was the same price without meat, I said that was totally fine then she said I didn't want it. Very odd customer service and as someone who worked in service for many years I can't imagine treating people this way that are there to eat food and pay for it. read more

It's kind of out of the way and the day we went looking for Pho this is where we landed. From the outside it looks like it's closed but walk in and find a decent size dining area. We've both been sick and on Monday decided the get some Pho. It was very good. The broth was flavorful and we used all the trimmings with the soup. We got it to go and it was packaged up nicely. Consistently good. Reasonable prices, good portions. Our whole family gets a variety of things and over the years the quality has stayed high unlike some other places that have come and gone. The Pho broth is really good, on par with big city places that have a long line - like San Francisco and Seattle. Food was soooo good!!! There is no ambiance but I took the food to go. I had the grilled pork and shrimp vermicelli. It was delicious. I even went back the following week because I wanted more. As I waited I watched other people come in and pick up their orders. I could tell they were regulars. Most were getting the Pho. I'll do that next. The service is quick and friendly. Best Báhn Mi I've had in a WHILE. Incredible sensations danced on my tongue with each bite, inviting me to come back for another taste. Noodle salad was great as well. The chicken was succulent, juicy, and bursting with amazing flavor. The vegetables were fresh as can be while the noodles brought everything together perfectly. Stopped by on our way through Mount Vernon and was very happy we did! We thought we were hungrier than we actually were and ordered egg rolls, summer rolls and two banh mi. We ended up only eating a little, but took the rest home and snacked on it. Everything was yummy! The banh mi bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with lots of fresh veggies. We preferred the pork over the chicken. Both the egg rolls and summer rolls were delicious and fresh, we just didn't love the dipping sauces. We toured the menu with the crispy tofu and crab puff starts, had their banh mis for lunch and took their vermicelli bowls for dinner later. Their tofu was fried just right with the right mix of sweet and salt for their sauce. Bahn Mi baguettes were super soft and fresh. Both Bahn Mi and Vermicelli had fresh veggies and LARGE PORTION.
