Regular Poke bowl topped with plenty of inclusions.

I've walked by this place a handful of times in the past but I can't believe it's taken me this long to go inside. The inside is bright with a good amount of seating, with additional seating available outside. There are so many toppings and inclusions to choose from. On this night, my kiddo and I stopped in about 6 minutes before they were closing. This place is more of fast casual, so during regular hours, there is the option to sit or grab and go. We knew that we couldn't sit to eat, as they were already packing up the chairs, but they were so accommodating with allowing us to place our orders so close to closing time. On this visit, I chose the regular Bowl, which includes two proteins ( from which they offer shrimp, chicken, regular and spicy Ahi tuna cubes, and regular and spicy salmon cubes). I got the salad base, while my kiddo got the rice half and half. The best part is, they had a wide variety of add-ins, like seaweed, edamame, tofu, cucumbers, masago, crab salad, that you could load up on additional healthy proteins on just that. If you like your salad on the sweeter side, they do have fruits like peaches, pineapple and mandarins. I loaded my bowl so much, the gentleman helping us had a tough time securing the lid on! Great value, and very friendly service. I liked the bright lighting inside, given that the street at night is a little dim. Inside was very clean, and the staff were meticulous with wiping down everything, which I witnessed first hand while they were closing up. I will absolutely return, and I won't simply pass by again next time!

Ordered pick up and have no complaints! The salmon and tuna in my poke bowl was fresh. I liked that you could choose a mix of rice and salad. Your usual variety of toppings, mix-one and sauces. Felt light and healthy but very filling at the same time. First time trying Pokeplus and I would absolutely return again in the near future for another poke bowl.

Always love coming to this location. Whenever I am craving something filling or need something to fill me up for the day after a long day at work or even before work starts I would come here. Food never disappoints and the drinks as well, I especially love their green teas and refreshers. Service is always excellent. Nice seating area + a bar set up style by the window. Relatively new poke place in Forest Hills, so decided to stopped by for dinner today with a friend. You order in an assembly line style, so it was pretty easy. I got the regular size bowl for $14, which comes with 2 proteins. I chose ahi tuna and spicy salmon for mine. Some toppings are extra, but the majority are included in the price. Overall I found the fish quality to be good, it looked and tasted fresh as well. I really liked the variety in toppings, and the choice for sauces. I chose their classic sauce, which was not too salty or heavy. I also liked how there is a good amount of seating space inside, making it a better place than the other Poke place nearby, which is much tinier.

BLUF: A better Pokeworks. Pokeworks recently made their poke bowls blander when they replaced kale noodles with plain ramen noodles as a base option. Fortunately, Poke+ still offers kale noodles (which has a surcharge, as with Pokeworks), so we visited to try their version of a salmon poke bowl, topped with nearly every option. The salmon here is as fresh as that from Pokeworks, if not fresher, but Poke+ also seems to have a few more add-ons than Pokeworks -- specifically peach, furikake (non-spicy), and masago. Our first poke bowl from Poke+ was much tastier than our last one from Pokeworks.

I wanted to try this place since it opened. The store is nicely set up, very clean and bright. The nice lady behind the counter asked for my order. I ordered a build my own small bowl. I had white rice, salmon, tuna, pineapple, jalapeños, sweet onions, special poke sauce, avocado, and crispy garlic. The rice was hot, the fish was fresh, and the sauce is quite good. It's expensive but tasty.

Amazing fresh every time and great portion sizes. You will not be disappointed. I'm a spicy tuna spicy salmon type of girl and it never ever disappoints. It's so delicious. You must try this place. This is one of the best poke bowls I've ever had.

Poke+ adds to the competition of take out raw fish options - directly targeting nearby Kissfish's poke, and indirectly the half dozen sushi spots that are in walking distance in and around Austin St. One advantage Poke+ has over the take out spots is that there is nice amount of seating so it makes a good option for fast casual meal if you are in a rush and need a place to sit and eat. One thing to note, you will get the cheapest price by ordering in the store over ordering on their website which adds a couple of bucks to each item. If you are in a rush you might want to order ahead or you may have to wait as the counter people walk the customers down the line adding ingredients as they go along. Overall I thought it was a decent Poke' with plenty of options and additions. Poke' isn't my favorite way to consume raw fish and I usually think of it more of a salad bar. I ordered a regular custom bowl, which came with two proteins - I thought the small scoop portion was a bit skimpy, but they filled the bowl with the variety of toppings to make for a satisfying bowl. I usually find Poke (at least in NYC and the ones I tried) a bit one note in flavor, usually dependent on the sauce you add with the ingredients mainly providing texture. So for the uninitiated don't come expecting a sushi like experience.

Good poké place with plenty of seating. The staff really packs the bowl with topping. Along with the usual proteins, they also have tamago. My bowl turned out a little bit sweeter than I would have liked due to the oshinko (pickled daikon).

We stopped by this huge new poke spot during their opening week. They have a buy one poke bowl, get a free bubble tea or choice of 50% off. Great offers for opening week to try their items. You order at the end of the restaurant and make your way down selecting your items. We ordered two bowls: build-your-own salmon bowl and a sweet sesame chicken special bowl (great for kids). A regular size is $14 and large is $16. Got two drinks: strawberry and mango creme. The bowls are good. They mix the sweet sesame chicken bowl ingredients together which is unusual for most poke places we've been to as they layer ingredients around in a circle. But it made sense for this bowl because the flavor combination was good mixed. The kids enjoyed it. They gave smaller protein portions compared to KissFish, another Poke spot on Austin. The drinks were good but wish we asked for less ice. We took the ice out and saw the drink was down to half the cup. Because the flavor was so good, I wish we got more of the beverage instead of ice. The fresh fruit pieces in the drink really make it pop. It's a great location on this side of Austin street and adds another food choice in the neighborhood. There are two tables and a row of window seats. Staff is friendly and welcoming to patrons.

There's a new spot open up in the neighborhood Poke bowl and bubble tea. I tried their custom poke bowl 32oz with kale noodles add an dollar extra , scallions, seaweed salad, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, kani salad, cucumber slices, corn, cilantro, spicy cilantro aioli, pineapple, sweet onions. This place kinda reminds me of just salad how they mix the sauce with the portions before topping them onto the base. But overall the kale noodles are pretty good and I'm not a kale person. Sauce pretty tasty, portions are ok. It's a bit pricey and it bit disappointed that they didn't even have sushi rice for the base for the poke bowl. I'm only giving this place two stars because of the service. The man that helped me was super nice and answered my million questions. I got a build your own bowl which came to $17 for a small bowl with under 10 pieces of the fishiest tuna I have ever had. I asked for peach and pineapple and there was 1 piece of peach and MAYBE 3 pieces of pineapple. But really it was so fishy it was inedible. I had to throw it out and make my own lunch read more

Food: 4 stars... Got a build-your-own poke bowl as a gift for take out. I selected almost everything they offered because it said I could in the selection boxes. So I picked the combo brown rice and salad for the base. Then I ordered the spicy salmon, spicy tuna and tomago for my proteins. I have to say that I really liked the tomago. I have never seen it offered as a base and it comes in cubes like the fish did. The fish were good too - nice size cubes. For the add-ins, I picked every thing but cilantro, soft tofu and jalapeños. Then I went for poke+ special, honey umami and sesame ginger for sauces. Next were the toppings, I got everything but the kimchi and avocados (cost extra). Last were the crunch and I said all in except for spicy Furikake. Yeah I like it messy and all together...it all goes down to the same place. Surprisingly you can still taste the different items. The bowl was packed and I wanted to make sure I got my money's worth. Service: 2.5 stars... this was because the server was not into her job. You know, nice enough. Not rude. But no smiles or courtesy. As a business, I know it's tough having to perhaps find workers that want to work and be friendly. However it's very important part of the total equation for a successful business. read more

Service here was phenomenal! My server gave great recommendations while quickly putting together my food. I got a large bowl with spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and tamago. The fish was fresh and the toppings were plenty (I put so much I couldn't see the fish anymore). Even though it was busy, since it just opened, getting my food was incredibly easy and the line moved fast. It was spacious and bright inside with the large windows, so definitely more comfortable than usual. By the way, the drinks are made fresh, so it's definitely worth trying! read more

I went here for lunch about 2 Sundays ago around 2pm and the place was pretty empty. That was good for me because I was with my family of 4. =) They have poke bowls and bubbles teas. How the poke bowls work is you pick the rice, fish, mix-ins and sauce you want. There's a ton of toppings to choose from to fill your bowl (im not sure if there was a limit to the # of stuff you could get). If you cant decide what to put on your bowl, they have the specialty bowls where they go make it for you. We actually went that route coz i didnt know what a good combo was anyway. I had the Umami Salmon bowl and my wife had the Yuzu Ahi. I have to say the food was good. I dont eat poke bowls a lot, but i like this one and it filled me up good as well. The ratio of rice to fish and the toppings to me was just right. I'd go back for the food. The bubble tea is just okay, but not that memorable. We probably wont order bubble yea next time. As for the service, i can't comment 100% but my wife said the staff was a bit slow. Also, after ordering the food, they completely left us alone and not bothered to ask for drinks... which left us standing there for a while while they started serving the next customer. Again, id come back for the food if im in the mood for poke bowl especially in the warm to hot weather coming up. I like that they have a lot of seats to be able to dine in. Price range is average too. Cool spot in general. read more

I came here to fulfill my poke craving. The staff were quick to ask if I was ready to order. I ordered a large which is supposed to come with 3 proteins. The girl who was helping me gave me 3 generous scoops of rice, but then things just went downhill from there. She was so stingy and gave me the smallest scoops of fish. I asked for ahi tuna, and she scooped maybe 5 pieces of it. I asked for spicy salmon and I got only about 4 pieces of it. So I decided to double on the spicy salmon, but now only got another 3 pieces. Meanwhile, I saw another staff member fulfilling some take out orders and 1 serving of fish was already way more than my 3 fish portions. So I asked if I could have a some more ahi tuna, so she hesitantly gave me another 2-3 pieces. I confirmed that what I had was considered 3 portions of protein and she said yes. I asked for masago as one of the toppings and she gave me the tiniest scoop again that is barely enough to spread around. Ordering from her felt like pulling teeth. My bowl that consists of 85% rice and 15% fish cost $17 plus tax. At least the fish tasted fresh and the overall flavor was there. However, overall a sour experience. read more

Awful place. Good food but extremely rude and don't even do the bare minimum for you. I don't eat any toppings except fish so I asked for extra fish instead of all the extra add ones which adds up to the same thing. They barely even filled up the bowl as seen in the photo below. Really amazing addition to Forest Hills. I always customize a bowl and you get to pick 2 proteins. They have a variety of toppings and sauces. I like that you can mix and match different sauces for different flavor pairings. On Fridays after either 5 or 6 pm, you can buy a bowl and get a free bubble tea! Makes for a great end of the work week dinner! read more

Pokeplus is a great little spot in a great area. After shopping or watching a movie, it's a great place to relax and grab a bite or drink. The ingredients were fresh with great flavor. There are a lot of options for add-ons and toppings. Their custom sauces were the perfect combination of tanginess and zest. I liked the yuzu-based sauce the best, but the ponzu lime base sauce and their own special sauce were also very delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. If this is your first ordering poke, they walk you through the selection. I am sure you'll be hooked on poke afterwards. Their drinks were amazing as well. Wide selection of drinks like fresh tea, milk tea, or juice to fulfill any type of day. They used real fruits and were well-made. I would recommend coming here just for the drink alone. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great poke bowl experience. Five stars! I'll be back a lot for lunch, especially in the summer. read more

I ordered a build your own Poke bowl. 98% of the bowl is just filler. Rice, salad and all the toppings. There were so few fish pieces, and what I did get were tiny. The salmon and tuna were POOR quality and no flavor even though I got the spicy. There's no marinade which is the point of Poke. The meat was really just mushy. They give you alot of toppings but none of them were good. I asked for furikake - which should be seaweed, not spicy. The girl put a ton of red powder on it - which turned out to be chili. I didn't realize she did this as I was distracted. It honestly made the whole thing so hot. I don't know how this place got so many stars. Every time I walk by, it's empty. I resisted coming here for months and I'm so sorry I did. What they are serving is not Poke, it's rice, salad, toppings and bits of disgust raw fish. read more
