4.5 and rounded up! Realized I ordered from here for takeout a while ago and never posted a review! Have been here a few times and always enjoyed the build-you-own bowl. They also offer 5-6 preset specialty bowls, the couple I can recommend are the Ahi Yuzu and Wasabi Shrimp. Poke bowls come in two sizes here, regular $14.90 with two proteins and large $15.90 with three proteins. You can select your choice of rice (white, brown or half-half), salad or kale noodles +$1. It's great that they give you the option to build your own bowl with a selection of various toppings included too. The drinks menu consists of bubble milk teas, fruit teas, fruit slushees, and cool refreshers. I haven't tried these though open to grabbing one next time I'm in the area! Staff is friendly and service is quick, food is usually ready for takeout about 10-15 minutes after the order is placed. One time I came as they happened to be closing and they threw in a small container of miso soup which was nice of them. The space is not huge, a third of it is the service counter with various proteins and toppings, though there are a handful of tables available if you want to eat in the store. Most people were getting food to go though!

On this night, my kiddo and I stopped in about 6 minutes before they were closing. This place is more of fast casual, so during regular hours, there is the option to sit or grab and go. We knew that we couldn't sit to eat, as they were already packing up the chairs, but they were so accommodating with allowing us to place our orders so close to closing time. On this visit, I chose the regular Bowl, which includes two proteins ( from which they offer shrimp, chicken, regular and spicy Ahi tuna cubes, and regular and spicy salmon cubes). I got the salad base, while my kiddo got the rice half and half. The best part is, they had a wide variety of add-ins, like seaweed, edamame, tofu, cucumbers, masago, crab salad, that you could load up on additional healthy proteins on just that. If you like your salad on the sweeter side, they do have fruits like peaches, pineapple and mandarins. I loaded my bowl so much, the gentleman helping us had a tough time securing the lid on! Great value, and very friendly service. I liked the bright lighting inside, given that the street at night is a little dim. Inside was very clean, and the staff were meticulous with wiping down everything, which I witnessed first hand while they were closing up. I will absolutely return, and I won't simply pass by again next time!

I chose their classic sauce, which was not too salty or heavy. Fortunately, Poke+ still offers kale noodles (which has a surcharge, as with Pokeworks), so we visited to try their version of a salmon poke bowl, topped with nearly every option. The salmon here is as fresh as that from Pokeworks, if not fresher, but Poke+ also seems to have a few more add-ons than Pokeworks -- specifically peach, furikake (non-spicy), and masago. Our first poke bowl from Poke+ was much tastier than our last one from Pokeworks.

I had white rice, salmon, tuna, pineapple, jalapeños, sweet onions, special poke sauce, avocado, and crispy garlic. The rice was hot, the fish was fresh, and the sauce is quite good. It's expensive but tasty.
Poke+ adds to the competition of take out raw fish options - directly targeting nearby Kissfish's poke, and indirectly the half dozen sushi spots that are in walking distance in and around Austin St. One advantage Poke+ has over the take out spots is that there is nice amount of seating so it makes a good option for fast casual meal if you are in a rush and need a place to sit and eat. One thing to note, you will get the cheapest price by ordering in the store over ordering on their website which adds a couple of bucks to each item. If you are in a rush you might want to order ahead or you may have to wait as the counter people walk the customers down the line adding ingredients as they go along. Overall I thought it was a decent Poke' with plenty of options and additions. Poke' isn't my favorite way to consume raw fish and I usually think of it more of a salad bar. I ordered a regular custom bowl, which came with two proteins - I thought the small scoop portion was a bit skimpy, but they filled the bowl with the variety of toppings to make for a satisfying bowl. I usually find Poke (at least in NYC and the ones I tried) a bit one note in flavor, usually dependent on the sauce you add with the ingredients mainly providing texture. So for the uninitiated don't come expecting a sushi like experience.

You order at the end of the restaurant and make your way down selecting your items. We ordered two bowls: build-your-own salmon bowl and a sweet sesame chicken special bowl (great for kids). A regular size is $14 and large is $16. Got two drinks: strawberry and mango creme. The bowls are good. They mix the sweet sesame chicken bowl ingredients together which is unusual for most poke places we've been to as they layer ingredients around in a circle. But it made sense for this bowl because the flavor combination was good mixed. The kids enjoyed it. They gave smaller protein portions compared to KissFish, another Poke spot on Austin. The drinks were good but wish we asked for less ice. We took the ice out and saw the drink was down to half the cup. Because the flavor was so good, I wish we got more of the beverage instead of ice. The fresh fruit pieces in the drink really make it pop. It's a great location on this side of Austin street and adds another food choice in the neighborhood. There are two tables and a row of window seats. Staff is friendly and welcoming to patrons.

Amazing fresh every time and great portion sizes. You will not be disappointed. I'm a spicy tuna spicy salmon type of girl and it never ever disappoints. It's so delicious. You must try this place. This is one of the best poke bowls I've ever had. read more

Good poké place with plenty of seating. The staff really packs the bowl with topping. Along with the usual proteins, they also have tamago. My bowl turned out a little bit sweeter than I would have liked due to the oshinko (pickled daikon). read more

There's a new spot open up in the neighborhood Poke bowl and bubble tea. I tried their custom poke bowl 32oz with kale noodles add an dollar extra , scallions, seaweed salad, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, kani salad, cucumber slices, corn, cilantro, spicy cilantro aioli, pineapple, sweet onions. This place kinda reminds me of just salad how they mix the sauce with the portions before topping them onto the base. But overall the kale noodles are pretty good and I'm not a kale person. Sauce pretty tasty, portions are ok. It's a bit pricey and it bit disappointed that they didn't even have sushi rice for the base for the poke bowl. I love this spot! The ladies who work here are so nice! I had a poke bowl with salmon and also tried the kale noodles (which was a new experience, but not a bad one!) I found this restaurant cute, clean, and welcoming! I enjoyed my few visits! I even took my husband here for a date, and the food was amazing. My tea was so sweet! I mean really like too sweet even for my taste, but they tried to remake it, so that was a personal and unexpected kind gesture which I'll remember forever. I would totally go back and try some more poke bowls and absolutely recommend it to friends! read more

I had a bowl, mango slush, and bubble tea. The bowl is very fresh. I like that they had a lot of options for protein, mixins, and sauce. I devoured the food in 15 minutes. The workers were amiable and patient, too. The establishment was spotless. The mango slush was very refreshing. I would come here again when I'm in town. read more

I have now been ordering from here regularly (both in person and via DoorDash) and have been thankful it's been consistently good. I order 1x at least every other week and sometimes even weekly. Food is good and fresh, portion is filling, and it's nice that Masago is included in the free toppings! Affordable enough to allow me to get it on the regular! This is exactly what I've been wanting in FH and so glad it's here! read more

Tried the build-your-own bowl today, with brown rice. Got a large bowl with a 3rd protein scoop- $2 more than regular. Spicy fish options are also cubed (bec at some places, theirs are minced). Can add as many of the mix-ins, toppings and crunchy toppings as preferred, which is great! Some of my picks: mandarin oranges (surprisingly was a good addition to my bowl), surimi salad (like a kani salad), masago (very tiny scoop only), seaweed salad, and topped with nori and garlic crisps. I wonder if they will add/change their topping options so can change up combinations. Few sauce options but I asked to have the sauces on the side, instead of mixed-in. Tried 5 - preferred Sriracha aoli but was very spicy; added little by little, mixed with the poke-special sauce. The place is bright and clean, with the glass windows. 3 tables for 4, and a long counter/tall stools seating. Very nice and helpful staff members, esp the young lady who helped us. read more
Staff was friendly and helpful in picking options for my first time being there. I did the large byo bowl with tofu which was very tasty and filled all the way. Also got the matcha taro with oatmilk (this was my second time coming back for the matcha which was delicious!) felt like it was a bit small but I enjoyed it nonetheless. There was a few people in there eating but tables and seats against the wall were available to eat at. The inside is a pretty decent space compared to other indoor dining spaces. I had placed an order online and picked it up in stores. As they were making our bowls, they made a mistake and put the sauce in the bowl, instead of on the side. They offered to remake it, but I didn't want to waste food, so I said it was fine. The bowls definitely had way too much sauce that it overpowered half the bowl. Despite this hiccup, I would have to say it was a jam-packed, yummy poke bowl. I chose the kale noodles as a base and thought it was a nice carb substitute. They definitely do not skimp out on the toppings and fish. read more

Stopped in for their grand opening. I love Poke spots so this is a wonderful addition to Forest Hills. They are doing a grand opening special Feb 25 & 26 -- poke bowls are half off! They also featured a separate deal - purchase a poke bowl & get a free bubble tea! I ordered a custom poke bowl with half rice / half kale noodle ( my FAV ). I added 2 proteins, mix ins & toppings. The variety is pretty decent. They have various fruit too like pineapple, mandarin orange & peach - I never saw peaches before anywhere! I believe the fruit is canned btw. I really wish they had mango though! Hopefully they'll include that in the future. Sauces were interesting- I was able to try 3 types ( Poke+ special, Sriracha aioli & Ponzu lime). I was hoping they would have the regular typical "spicy mayo". The sriracha was a bit too spicy for me but it had a great kick. If you love super spicy sauce -- you'd enjoy this! Service was great -- everyone was very attentive & super friendly to all the customers. The space is really spacious for a Poke place. There's a few tables and a long tabletop with bar stools facing the windows. The place was continuously busy & the workers did an awesome job They also offer a rewards program if you sign up! A welcome addition to the neighborhood! We need fresher/healthier options in Forest Hills so I'm glad this place opened. Fish - surprisingly, I thought the spicy tuna tasted better than the salmon (good but it didn't taste as fresh). Toppings - I loved the fresh veggies like edamame and cucumber. Most of the fruits were canned (oranges, pineapple); I know it's winter but it would be nice to have some fresh options. Overall - solid 3.5. I will go back based on proximity to my apartment. read more
What an amazing spot! A poke with seats. The bowls were fresh, filling, and delicious. They really fill the bowl to the top, and if I had a complaint the bowls need to be bigger. The 3 protein for 16 is a great deal and on Tuesdays it's BOGO bubble tea from 4-9pm. read more

My poke bowl had raw chicken on it AND also a large sharp plastic shrapnel. Including the photos here. What horrified me more was the manager's absolute lack of care and nonchalance. He was completely unapologetic. All he said through his blank stare was "Oh sometimes our chicken can be undercooked." As if that is an acceptable reason. He also said that the black shrapnel must've been charcoal from the grill when clearly it's not. I am terrified that I might have gotten food poisoning now. I'm absolutely disappointed and am livid. Please stay away from this place. read more

A rice bowl can be filled to the brim with the amount of toppings they offer. One regular bowl is 2 protein options and one large bowl offers 3. A regular bowl with my favorite toppings makes it slightly difficult for the lid to close which proves their generosity with the toppings and eating half of it makes me full. Any of the soy sauce based sauces tastes great along with the Sriracha aioli. The protein gets tossed in the sauce and you can always ask for sauce on the side if you're unsure about whether you'd like it. The ingredients taste fresh and I love the contrasting textures in the bowl. They have a decent bubble tea menu - so far I've tried the taro, strawberry yogurt, milk black tea, and strawberry grapefruit which all tasted good. The tapioca was a little hard and not the brown sugar boba I'm typically used to, but it was still a nice chewy texture. The workers there are nice and they were happy to give me sauces that I requested to have on the side. They were also kind enough to modify my drink a bit to make a different flavor combination that isn't on the menu. The restaurant itself has seating and is very clean. I love coming here on Fridays 6-8pm to get a free boba with my bowl upon checking in on yelp. read more
