This place is adorable. A little noisy but very nice. The service is impeccable. They were on point filling our water glasses. (We drink like fish) This place takes allergies very seriously. I am allergic to pineapple and they were extremely attentive to my allergy. I had a tofu poke bowl while my fiance had the spicy chicken karagage. The food is great. It was my sister's birthday so we ordered a supreme party tray with the following pieces: onegin roll, chef's roll, dragon roll, white tiger roll, dancing tuna roll, rainbow roll, Mikihana roll, California Roll, salmon avocado roll, spicy tuna roll, yellowtail roll, tuna sashimi, kani sashimi, spicy salmon sashimi, tobiko sashimi, ikura sashimi, and masago sashimi. We asked for it to be ready by 5PM and it was ready right on time. I was never inside before. It's a nice space inside, very colorful but we were there for take out. Now for the important part, the taste: it was ok. The raw fish tasted pretty fresh. The cooked fish had a fishy taste to it. The rice was a little thick and hard in some places. First of all, I wasn't happy with the service here. I had to get up from my seat to grab the attention from the waiter. It wasn't even that busy. The restaurant looked new and the decor was nice. However, everything else was horrible. The bathroom was so messy and gross. The food was subpar and they charged city prices. We ordered different types of soup, but the soups looked and tasted the same. They charged an 18% service fee or gratuity for a party of 2. Also, the bill had charges for extra food that we didn't even order so we complained about that and they took it off. Last but not least, they were so racist at the end. When they asked where are you from? I was like I know where this is going. I said Sunnyside/ Woodside area. Then the manager or owner said mani pedi?? I'm like wth??? I order the 3 rolls set: ikura roll (+1 for offering it but also -1 for execution) didn't hold up in structure and kinda fell apart as I was picking it up. The ikura was lightly marinated and overpowered by the rice. The salmon avocado roll was the best of the three with a huge chunk of salmon and perfectly riped avocado. The tuna Avocado roll was also a bit messy. The size of the sliced fish was super inconsistent through out the roll. Overall the set was good and it came with a choice of soup or salad. The side salad was refreshing and yummy. Room for improvement: The rice was super vinegary, could be slightly less in that category. My only gripe is how wet and sticky the rice was. Ordered the supreme poke bowl and it tasted very bland. Selected Mikihana sauce but think they failed to add it, there were just a few packets of soy sauce in my bag. The chicken dumplings were by far the worst dumplings I've ever had. The texture felt more like an empanada and the chicken did not look like chicken, the taste was also very off. The crispy rice was good, although I wish they added more fish on top of the rice to have a better balance of both the crisp and the cold fish. While reading over the special rolls I found that they all sounded the same. I think they could benefit from changing up the rolls and making them more unique. The drinks were mediocre. I did not enjoy the ambiance, definitely looks like they're going for a hip and trendy sushi place kind of look. They should consider dimming the lights. Visited this place a couple of times. Their inside decoration is fancy, and the dining area is neat and cozy. The waitress is friendly and attentive. The service is also quick. Their rolls are average with too much rice, and the rice they used is not the high quality one. The size of their A la Carte sashimi is good, but I was unlucky that day as my fish was still kind of frozen. I had a better dine-in experience with their Fancy Tuna in my second visiting. Updating my review to let others know about their pricing scheme. My co-workers and I like to order from them on Wednesdays, since regular rolls are 50% off. (Disclaimer: This review isn't based off of their food... we have accepted it with a "you get what you pay for" approach, and if you're paying $3 for a tuna roll, it's decent for a $3 tuna roll. The fish is not the freshest, but it's not stale, slimy, or turned either--- and I speak as somebody who eats non-kosher authentic sushi. The rolls are a bit on the small side, but I'm not sure if that's just because it's 1/2-off-Wednesdays, or that's their general size.) Yes, the restaurant charges 50% off the regular rolls, however, the tax is based on the FULL price of the Roll. Also, I have done the calculation 5 different ways, and it looks like the sales tax they charge is a full 9%, not 8.8625% (Example: if its normally $10, you'd expect your total after tax to be around $5.44 vs $5.90. This may not seem like a lot for one roll, but imagine ordering for a department, and the receipt being over $100.) I'm not sure that that's entirely on the up-and-up, as that tax is technically supposed to be going to the state and not their pockets. However, given that it's the only sushi place in the neighborhood that's kosher (for my colleagues) , with reasonable pricing, it's the devil we know... So, yeah, we're still frequent customers there. Just thought everyone in Yelp land might want to know so they are not caught off guard when paying. read more

Purchased a too good to go bag hoping for sushi and was wildly disappointed. This was supposedly originally priced at $18 (and purchased at $6 via the app) but it's not worth more than $3 in my opinion. I don't even know what I'm eating. The rice is insanely hard as if it's been in the fridge for a few days (and not made from today as promised). There was only one small piece of chicken as pictured. A whole box of sour beet salad(???) I don't even know if it deserves to be called a salad? And another dish of fish drenched in sauce. In all, very disappointed and prob will not be visiting this establishment in the future.
