    Salmon Osasi Bowl

Somewhat pricey but yummy! Had the salmon/spicy tuna poke bowl which was delicious! And it was super filling. Would def come back to try their other options of ramen , hibachi, and sushi and their bubble tea as I didn't get to try it this time. Service was quick and food came out fairly quick. Good ambiance to stop by for a bite. It was a bit cold as people came in and out ,

Came in to grab a bubble tea on my way home from a spartan race. Inside looks amazing and staff is very kind. There was a bit of a rush and my order was delayed but still tasty with soft boba.

I had a sushi hankering after a hike in West Milford on Saturday, but realized once I got to the trailhead that there literally weren't any sushi places for miles (and really not much of anything up there). I decided to return to civilization for sustenance and realized there WAS a new sushi establishment on my way home here. I'm always a little nervous about trying a business that literally still has "Grand Opening" signs on the premises (I like to let them go through their learning curve without me), but I rolled the dice and it paid off. Pokestop is located in that chaotic strip mall that houses a Playa Bowls, Marshall's and a supermarket, so when you make the conscious decision to drive over there on a Saturday afternoon, be prepared for a lot of congestion and a bit of searching for a parking spot. I was able to find one a few rows over fairly easily but this is probably the worst aspect of the experience, and an unavoidable one. You don't even sense the chaos though once you walk through the doors. It's nice enough where you can have a sit-down meal in front of the sushi bar/prep area, but it's casual enough where someone a bit dusty from hiking a mountain ridge can get primo service too. The girl at the counter was exceptionally nice; Pokestop helpfully had a giant menu outside for me to peruse at my leisure (and many potentially customers took advantage of it as well while I was there) so when I came in to order, she enthusiastically cheered my choices. I went with a "normal" salmon avocado roll and an edgy special roll, the Firecracker, featuring salmon, tuna, yellowtail, avocado and spicy mayo. Both were delicious and super fresh. In my experience, sushi places tend to skimp a little on the number of pieces for their higher-end rolls, but not here - it was almost twice as much as the salmon/avocado, with great flavors that complemented each other well. There weren't a ton of customers in there when I showed up, but it was still a pleasant surprise to get my food literally within five minutes or so. The service was as good as it gets; they may have some work to do behind the scenes as a new establishment that I'm unaware of, but it certainly has nothing to do with their hospitality skillset. The woman I interacted with was great, and when I asked if I could sit outside, spent an extra two minutes cleaning the tables once she saw that they'd accumulated a bit of dust, etc. from their morning cleanup (apologizing profusely and unnecessarily for not cleaning them more recently). The price point was decent for the area as well - the total came to about $26, which is to be expected when you decide to dance with the hardcore rolls. I'm pleasantly surprised and frankly thrilled to find a quick, very decent sushi place on a stretch of 23 that could use it. One of my all-time favorite sushi establishments is Kenko Sushi in nearby Lincoln Park, but it's out of the way and it's much more difficult to order from them now that they require you to use their problematic app instead of calling. This is a fantastic, convenient alternative.

Have walked right past this place a number of times, looked like a nice strip mall place to eat lunch but never stopped in. We came here on a Monday night for dinner (so many other places are closed on Mondays)and were very pleasantly surprised! The food was great! Service excellent! Very reasonable prices! So many vegetarian options, which made me happy! They offer appetizers like Agedashi tofu, vegetable Gyoza, edamame & more. A number of vegetarian rolls that were more interesting than the usual cucumber roll, avocado roll, etc. Veggie poke bowls and even a vegetarian ramen! My husband had hibachi noodles for appetizer which he woofed down & "Combination B" sushi platter, which was very generous and beautifully presented. I had Agadashi tofu appetizer and two rolls (tofu skin/avocado and asparagus tempora roll) Our only complaint was the music/audio with loud commercials. Definitely not the beautiful chill vibe of Double Ai but a great option (especially on a Monday night!)

One of our favorite spots in town! We've tried everything from ramen and wings to rolls, tea, and soup--always delicious. The prices are great, and Theresa and her team are so friendly and hardworking. Highly recommend stopping by and trying it for yourself!

First time coming in, service was excellent as was the food. I loved the fact that the sushi was not loaded with rice, but instead loaded with fish! Spicy edamame was a nice change from normal salted edamame. My so loved his vegetable ramen, and husband said the Tempura was one of the beat he has had! We will be back!

I was very exited to see that's a Poke place would be coming into this shopping center. However, the meal simply did not meet my expectations. I ordered a salmon rice bowl and was disappointed. To begin, you must order your food on a tablet, something which I usually am on board with. However there was no option to remove ingredients, or to leave a note for each item. This made it difficult to modify your order. The bowl, to my disappointment, was about 85% rice and 5% salmon. The servings were skimpy at best. The food tasted pretty good but once again there was not enough salmon to be able to enjoy it. And for the price it can definitely be found cheaper. I also ordered a brown sugar boba tea which was way too sugary. They did not give an option to adjust ice or sugar levels so you were left with what was almost the obvious result of adding powder to water. The restaurant itself felt pretty upscale and modern. I thought it was cool that they had One Piece curtains. Other than that it sort of didn't stand out much. Perhaps I will give it a second chance in the future, as when I arrived it was only the second day open.

I absolutely loved the idea and the overall vibe of the cafe. That said, we came specifically for coffee and mochi donuts, and unfortunately those fell a bit short. The coffee was just okay, and the mochi donuts weren't great - ours tasted on the staler side, which was disappointing. Overall, I really think this place has a lot of potential. The service is great and the concept is very unique for this area, and with some improvements to the quality and freshness of the food and drinks, it could easily become a go-to spot. Worth checking out for the aesthetic, but I'm hoping the menu catches up to how cool the space is.

The interior is well-decorated, with a decent amount of seating and tables, offering a comfortable space for both small groups and individuals to relax and enjoy their drinks. The menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of flavors, which made choosing a bit of a fun challenge. I decided to try a few different drinks: the Matcha Bubble Tea, Taro Bubble Tea, and Strawberry Mango Bubble Tea. I also ordered the Strawberry Banana Crepes with Nutella. The Taro Bubble Tea was a standout, packed with flavor and loaded with fresh boba. It had the perfect balance of creaminess and sweetness without being overly sugary, which I appreciated. The Matcha Bubble Tea was also delicious, with a pronounced matcha flavor that felt authentic rather than artificial. However, it was a bit grainy. If it had been smoother, it would have been an exceptional drink, but the real matcha taste still made it worthwhile. The Strawberry Mango Bubble Tea was another enjoyable choice. Although the flavor was more obviously artificial compared to the other two, it was still light and refreshing, without being overly sweet like many bubble teas from larger chains such as Kung Fu Tea. The sweetness levels across all the drinks were perfect, allowing the flavors to shine without being masked by too much sugar. To accompany the bubble teas, I ordered the Strawberry Banana Crepes with Nutella, which was a great choice. The crepe was generously filled with Nutella, whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and bananas. It was a hit, especially with my girlfriend, who really enjoyed the dessert. Service was good, and the prices were reasonable, making it a solid option for a casual treat. The only minor issue I encountered was with the straws. They weren't quite big enough to easily suck up the larger boba pearls, especially in the matcha bubble tea. This could pose a slight choking hazard, as I had to really work to get the boba through the straw. Thankfully, this wasn't an issue with the taro or strawberry mango bubble teas, but it's something they should address. Overall, Boba Bliss is a great spot for anyone craving delicious bubble tea, crepes, or waffles. I highly recommend it for its tasty drinks, satisfying desserts, and pleasant atmosphere.

I actually came across this place on an Instagram post and decided to check it out. It seems that normally a tea ceremony is something we'd have to book ahead of time (and pay for, apparently) but we didn't know. So, we wandered in and the shopkeep started telling us about teas and she let me smell a green one. I asked if I could try it, she generously said yes, and that kicked off an unplanned tea ceremony. It started off with just my husband and I, but as other people came into the shop, the shopkeep invited them to join us at the table so by the end there was another couple, a woman, the shopkeep's husband and the shop's assistant hanging out together and drinking tea. We learned all about the villages where the teas came from, the differences between some of them, how old the teas are, how the shop came to be, even about the tea table we sat at. Super cool vibe, loved the coming together of strangers bonding for hours over a shared love of tea, but one that I'm not sure can be replicated because again, these tea tastings are meant to be booked ahead of time with your party, and are meant to be a paid service (though in Taiwan, tea tastings are free). We got lucky because the shop wasn't busy and people had cancelled their tea bookings due to an upcoming snow storm. I will most likely come back for more tea at some point. Even if a spontaneous tea ceremony never happens again, I count my blessings that such an experience even happened once, and would still recommend this shop to any Chinese tea lover.

However, we do love Korean food and search it out from Connecticut to Delaware. In fact, I love Korean food so much that, while I'm a vegetarian, I will always try the Korean BBQ when we find a new place (sorry cows). Follow up visits, I go back to tofu options. Anyway, Seoul Express is more like the newer casual type of KFood that's become very common in the NY metro. Geared towards takeout with just a couple of tables, the menu is paired down to bowl style meals with mainly Korean flavors, with a few other options thrown in--such as poke bowls. My husband and I got the Japchae (sweet translucent noodles with vegetables and bulgogi beef and the Dolsot (hot stone) Bibimbap which is an option if you eat in. Both were excellent. The Japchae was very much more of a commercial American taste than a traditional sit down old school K restaurant--if you've ever had it at a BonChon Chicken you know what I mean. But the hot stone bibimbap was amazing. Exactly like my favorite version of the dish ever at a small family Korean restaurant in a Parsippany strip mall that unfortunately didn't survive Covid. The accompanying goojujang (spicy red mixing sauce) comes in a small takeaway container but they're happy to give you more if you're the type who likes to squirt half the ketchup bottle of the stuff into your bibimbap (like me). Bergen county has amazing KFood options and we drive there all the time from Hunterdon County just to get some. Seoul Express just put Passaic County on the KFood map. And being casual, the prices are reasonable. You have no excuse not to try it.
