One word. Wow. This place is fantastic. 5/5 hands down. I am excited to dine in when I get the chance to stop in. I am mind blown by how quick I received my take out order and how fresh it stayed. We got the edamame, spicy California roll, and sweet potato tempura roll (they threw in a couple pieces of sushi on the house!) talk about customer service/satisfaction. Not to mention the sushi is huge & super filling! I will definitely be updating my review when I get to visit this establishment. Do not waste your time and try this place as soon as you can!

GREAT SERVICE WITH HIGH QUALITY FOOD!! Nice and quiet ambiance. Great family business with overall great dining experience. MUST TRY

First time getting take out and all I can say is WOW. Beautiful presentation and good size portions. We had the sunshine roll, red dragon roll, nature roll and an on the house sashimi roll. All fantastic. The nature roll was crisp and full of flavor. Definitely will have it again. We also had tuna, salmon and red snapper. The specials come with soup and salad. They also have hot entrees for all the sushi haters out there. It's a must try. - - they offer a 10% discount on entire bill for month of October so get there- - ENJOY e

This is a little hidden gem. All the rolls are made with fresh ingredients and everything was amazing. They substituted asparagus for me instead of avocado! They also have me another sample role as a gift. I will happily be back for more

Wonderful selections! I had 2 regular rolls and it came with miso soup for 14. It was tasty, good portion of fish. Miso soup was so very flavorful. The togo box also had a little salad inside which was a nice surprise. They also gave me something for free. Basically rice with a few slices of avocado and sauce. Id order from here again! Staff was also very nice and it was clean

This place is a hidden gem. Food is amazing and the service is great. The quality of food is the best I've had so far for sushi. After Covid hit, my place to go get fast and affordable sushi was kenko, but now it's this spot. Food tastes so clean and they give you large quantity. I have yet to be disappointed.

It was not anything to rave about. I didn't like that the chef had to choose your sushi selection on certain parts of menu.

I stopped…read moreby for lunch with my top-tier chum, a native of the Kingdom of Sussex who has been here before and has spoken highly of it. I don't know why I was surprised to discover this was in a strip mall, but that's on me. A nice one, at least. The place was relatively busy but we were able to secure a table easily with zero wait time. Pleasant vibes inside. I don't mean this as an insult at all but I was expecting more ethnic decor in line with the restaurant's menu - instead, it's pretty Americanized and feels like a classic suburban NJ establishment. I liked the painted brick on the lefthand side that has Blue Spice's logo/sign on it; spiffy. The bathroom was also a high point, which is...not something I say often. It was very clean and smelled nice, and I liked the dark cruise-ship lighting vibe. We decided to split the scallion pancake app, which was an excellent decision. I work in the city and regularly have this item from a place in Chinatown, and I honestly thought this was better, mostly because it was thicker/denser than what I'm used to. Super tasty and would get that again in a heartbeat. Giant portion as well - we split the pancake, which was roughly the size of a small pizza. My chum had leftovers there, I did not; so it goes with us. I've had a few mediocre chicken katsu experiences of late, so this seemed like a chance for redemption. I ordered the Akiko Curry entree, which was their spin on chicken katsu curry. Honestly wasn't my favorite. Again, a HUGE portion here and was only able to finish about 60% of it despite having a pretty legit appetite coming in. And the presentation value is excellent as well, as far as that goes. This could easily just be a personal palate preference, but I wasn't crazy about the curry itself (which had a weird tang to it) and didn't resemble the standard curry I'm used to with this dish. Also, as you can see from the attached, the curry is basically on the side of the dish, separated from the chicken and rice. Because of that, the chicken is on the dry side, which is my primary beef (pun?) with the item to begin with. So a miss for me, but I could see why other people would like this (and apparently do). The service was excellent, full stop. Our waitress was very nice and personable; she had strong command of the menu and you could see her consistently engaging with other patrons throughout our meal as well. She took several group photos so this is apparently a Kingdom of Sussex hot spot for that, which I wouldn't have guessed. She was so good both of us remarked on it multiple times during the meal, which is a rarity. But a great example of hospitality markedly improving an experience and making what was already an overall positive situation that much better. Huge marks there. Would definitely come back but would explore other parts of the menu once I feasted on the scallion pancake.

Not sure if they used a fusilli, gemelli, or cavatappi, but it tasted like microwaved overcooked pasta. I was expecting a spaghetti, linguini, or bucatini for the frutti di mare and penne, ziti or rigatoni for the a la vodka, so just the choice of pasta was a surpenned, the fact that we got the same for 2 very different dishes indicated that that was the only pasta they had in the kitchen. All said, it would've been totally fine if both dishes didn't taste like mush. And both sauces tasted nearly identical. Sad, because service was great and the other dishes were absolutely phenomenal. They ran out of the ramen that day so I suspect that's a popular dish as well. I would just stick with the fusion style dishes. If my rating was based on the two fusion plates I had, would definitely be 4 stars!

Asian Fusion Meets Pub Food: A Delightful Dilemma…read more The biggest challenge at this restaurant is deciding what to choose! With an array of intriguing options alongside classic pub fare, the menu is an adventure! It's small but comfortable and well decorated. The service was quick and friendly. I started with a lychee martini, perfectly paired with Korean Short Rib Tacos. The balance of flavors was impeccable--neither too sweet nor too stiff, with a texture that was just right. The tacos delivered a burst of flavor that did not disappoint. We also tried the Bahn Mi, which had great flavor, though it might not make our reorder list. A favorite from the pub menu was fried pickles. A must-have at every restaurant I visit, served as coins--the only proper way, in my opinion. The breading was thick, crispy, and well-seasoned, reminiscent of a chicken nugget. In the most delicious way. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu. This place is definitely on our list of regular haunts.

Once you sit down you scan a QR Code to order your food and drinks. I was pretty hungry that day so we ended up ordering a ton of food. The drinks were pretty good and they were served in Le Creuset mugs. Not the biggest deal, but I can appreciate some nice drinkware. The bowl of Kimchi Fried rice came out first. It was a generous portion and the rice was cooked well, but I feel like it could've used some more kimchi. The eggs on top were cooked perfectly and added good texture to the dish. The next dish to come out was the HK French toast. The bread was nice and fluffy which paired well with a nice generous drizzle of condensed milk. I enjoyed this a lot. We also ordered scallion pancake, pork barbecue, and bossam baos. These were ok, I would probably pass on a return visit. I felt like the meat in the baos was a little tough though they did have decent flavor. The last entree was the smoked salmon and avocado croissant; I really enjoyed this. It had a generous helping of smoked salmon and avocado as well. The saltiness of the salmon paired well with the creamy and fatty avocado. The croissant was also nice and flaky. It was also served with a house salad which had a nice drizzle of dressing on it too. For dessert we ordered a Black Sesame Souffle Pancake. This was SO good. A few months ago I visited a place in Princeton that specialized in these Japanese-style pancakes and Tasty Junction's version was so much more enjoyable. I loved that it was served with a healthy scoop of ice cream. The pancake was airy and had a bounce to it. Each bite was so good and made even better with the ice cream. I'd definitely come back just for the pancakes. All in all Tasty Junction is a great spot tucked away in Glen Rock

One thing I really liked is how customizable the menu is. You can choose different creams and ice cream flavors on top - they have a great variety, including strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, taro, ube, and more. The service was great. Everyone was very kind and welcoming, and they let us know that the Japanese soufflé pancakes take about 15 minutes to prepare, which I was completely fine with since they're made fresh. The ambiance is chill and quiet. The café is tucked away on the side of the street - I actually missed it the first time and had to circle back. We were lucky to find street parking right in front, though there aren't many spots available. As for the pancakes themselves, I thought they were just okay. They're made with four eggs, and you can definitely taste them. That said, my daughter absolutely loved them, so it may just come down to personal preference.

Being a local I was hoping for a more traditional Korean style meal due to their name and logo but was pleasantly surprised with their combinations. I can see how some people could be disappointed because their name and logo doesn't match their cooking. Here's my take on the 3 meals. Spicy Pork Kimbap: I would say, out of the 3 this was the best and one of the best, if not THE best kimbap we've had in NJ. The sizes were huge, my husband was very happy. Lol Absolutely recommend. Bulgogi (spicy) rice bowl/cup bap: The combination of the beef, veggies, and rice was very good and balanced. I would like to see more veggies next time because the beef alone was very salty. I would order again. Would be even happier if they made the sauce more traditional and less salty. Bulgogi (spicy) box: We had to make more rice at home lol. I would not order this again, rather get the rice bowl. Like I said above, the meat alone is salty and in the box the beef is about 90% with a small side a rice and salad. Fast service, clean space, would get again for a quick meal, would not order with Korean guests over.
