I'm in the Houston, TX area and was on our annual summer visit to Temecula to see my folks. I LOVE sushi, sashimi and now a big fan of poke. I wish there were places like this in Houston! This was my first time at a solely poke restaurant. First try, I went after our Target run in the afternoon. So not crowded at all. They have options of "small" (2 scoops of protein, aka fish), "medium" (3 scoops) and large (4 scoops). I opted for the small, with a salad base (you can also choose from various rice, chips or a combo of any), as this was going to be lunch. After that, you can add as many toppings as you want. I wasn't sure of the sauces so I asked to try each before they put it on. The servers were very accommodating, and in the end, I chose a combo of the ponzu and sesame sauces. When all was said and done, the entire bowl was full of YUM!!! and all for under $10! I couldn't wait to get home to try it - I was not disappointed! The fish was fresh and flavorful (I got spicy tuna and the salmon). It was SO GOOD!!! I couldn't help it... my time in Temecula was limited so I went back the next day and ordered a large this time, with the intention that I'd eat 1/2 for lunch and 1/2 for dinner. It was SO much food and SO good! and I couldn't believe that even after tax, it was only around $12. Good service. Great Food. Great Price! Not very happy with this place. I've been to many poki places. Toppings are very limited, crab tasted weird, topping seemed old and the place was so dirty. The tables were so dirty I didnt want to touch them. The dirt is embedded into the tables. I ended up getting sick within an hour. Wish I hadn't eaten the food. Will not return. read more

Big fan of poki so I love this place. Bought their grand opening, buy 2 get 1 free special. I opted for the regular size because the small size only had 2 scoops of protein. But their regular size is a pretty big portion, so I could have probably gone with the small. The only negative (if you can even say it's negative) is that they don't have a dressing for their salad portion. I guess you just use their sauce mix as dressing. other than that, it was delicious! read more

I went here for the first time on 12/21/18 and the young lady helping me was super rude. The place had 2 patrons sitting and eating and I felt like the lady was rushing me to hurry up and pick the scoops of meat, sauces, etc. There was no one behind me and I even stated "sorry it's my first time here". She didn't once smile at me which should've been the first sign of disappointment. Lucky there was another young man working who was much nicer when checking me out. He smiled, thanked me and had a much better attitude than the young lady that looked as though she'd rather get hit by a car than help me. I felt the prices were a little steep, but I love and was craving poki. I took my meal to go, and the second I headed toward the door the young lady started chatting it up with the young man, laughing and seemingly much better than she was moments before when serving me. (so rude!) nonetheless I figured maybe she had been working all day or had a rough day or something so I tried to chalk it up to nothing. But when I went home the poki bowl was just ok. The sauces weren't really adding to the dish and I've had much tastier poki elsewhere. I won't be back, sadly. I was let down and would much rather take my business to Poki N Salad. Their poki is delicious, fresh, their sauces are super flavorful, they have larger servings with a cheaper price, AND the employees smile and are nice to you when ordering. read more

Poki poki has a few different bowl options you can choose from that provide a different number of scoops for your seafood choice: small bowl $8.95 ( 2 scoops) Regular bowl $9.95 (3 scoops) Large bowl $11.50 (4 scoops) I came in and got a regular size bowl after you choose a bowl you then choose a base of either brown rice, white rice, spring salad, chips or half/half I chose brown rice they give you a good size portion. After your base is your scoops with the choice of: salmon, ahi tuna, spicy tuna, scallop, yellow tail, albacore, octopus, or shrimp I chose Ahi tuna, shrimp, and salmon had to get that good protein, you then tell them how spicy you'd like it after you add toppings: avocado which is extra ($1), crab meat, green onion, masago eggs, radish, fried garlic, pineapple, tempura crisp, corn, edamame, ginger, wasabi, jalapeño, seaweed salad, sesame seeds, or mandarin orange I chose crab meat more protein,avocado, corn, and tempura crisp again very healthy scoops of each my tostado was $11.50. Now everything was great it all tasted fresh nothing seemed to be freezer food , the rice was cooked perfect as well as the corn all and all there's no way I couldn't give this place 5 stars. I came in for lunch on July 5th and liked it so much I went again on the 9th. They have small (2 scoops of protein), medium (3 scoops) and large (4 scoops). I went with the medium, did half white rice and half spring salad. I chose ahi tuna, salmon, and spicy tuna as my protein and the portions seemed pretty generous. I was able to have a piece of fish in every bite! They have a good selection of toppings to choose from. I chose my poki sauce as "not spicy" and wish I had done mild instead. Maybe next time! I've been frequenting this establishment almost every week since they opened. Sometimes twice a week. The staff is friendly and even know my order. The quality is great. However the gentleman working Saturday on 7/25 around 1130 ruined it for me. I asked if they accepted samsung pay and he seemed extremely annoyed with me for asking. He claimed hes never heard of it, but I asked if I could try to pay for my meal before he made the bowl since it's just like any other electronic payment method. He refused at first telling me I needed to have a different form of payment because he didnt want to make my bowl and then my payment not work. I told him that's not what I asked, that I wanted to pay before he made it, so in the end we did try the Samsung pay. It didnt work which is fine. It's my fault for not having my wallet. But the way he acted was really upsetting. I've never been treated so rudely in this establishment and I'm considering never going back because of it. I walked out of there feeling like I was an annoyance and taking up his time. Mind you I was the only one in the restaurant at the time.
