They have a huge selection of fresh proteins to choose from. I highly recommend the spicy tuna; it had a really nice kick to it that I absolutely loved! ​My favorite thing overall, though, was the massive variation of sauces. It was such a pleasant surprise to see so many creative flavor profiles available, which isn't always the case at build-your-own bowl restaurants. I found Tropicali on a complete whim on the way up to Big Bear, and we were so happy we did -- we ended up coming back every single day we were in town. The staff are absolutely bursting with energy. Walking in felt like talking to one of my own brothers or cousins. They made me, my girlfriend, and even my dog feel instantly welcome, and walked us through the menu and drink options like we were old friends. Honestly, I'd live in this restaurant if I could -- the decor is off the charts, and the creativity and homey feel are unmatched. I heard it started out as a tiny shack, and seeing what it's grown into makes total sense once you experience the place for yourself.
