Love Bluewater Poke, fresh food, good portions, good service. My Favorite poke spot! :)

I've gone here once around 2018 and my experience at the time was pretty bad. During that experience, I'm assuming the temperature of the rice was too hot and combining that with the steam of the container, by the time I got home my poke was semi-cooked LOL. So because of that reason, I chose not to go here for next couple years. A couple months ago I had a sudden craving for poke and figured I'd give this place another chance. Upon entry, I was greeting by a kind gentleman. The server was attentive to detail, double checked with my toppings of choice, quick, and kind. The sauce choices are pretty straight forward, and I opted to go for shoyu w/lots of onion for my poke. Taste-wise, the poke was solid. It WASNT cooked (just the way I like it), and overall the experience was pretty solid. I will say portion sizes do vary on who's serving you. I believe the person who served me gave me a generous helping on each of my choices. Although I have other poke shops near by that I enjoy, I will be coming back to Bluewater Poke sometime soon! read more

Decent poke spot with surprisingly strong teas. The employee preparing my bowl was new, so the process was a little slow, but I appreciated how carefully he handled my food. My milk tea, strangely enough, took the longest to make. The proteins included several types of tuna, salmon, octopus, crab, and shrimp. I chose the Hawaiian tuna, which was fresh and tender, though I wished the marinade had a more pronounced flavor. The fresh toppings were not as plentiful as those at other spots, but they did offer some interesting crunchy additions. I wished the pineapple had not been chopped so finely, since most of the juice had been lost, but I appreciated the inclusion of crushed chips. The sauces leaned toward a spicier profile, so proceed with caution. My honey jasmine milk tea had a surprisingly strong, fragrant taste. The honey was straightforward and settled at the bottom. The drink had the perfect balance of creaminess and milkiness. Overall, the fish was of decent quality, though I hope the selection of toppings expands. I actually found the tea to be the highlight, and I would recommend grabbing a paired beverage. read more

Always affordable or cheaper than other places and you get a lot! This was only two scoops of protein & it filled me up. The tuna & salmon were really fresh. One thing I would say is I do not like how they use guacamole instead of avocado slices & big cucumber slices. read more

I'm so sad--shrinkflation seems to have hit my favorite poke bowl place. Ever since the renovation, both the bowls and drinks appear to have shrunk in size. The two ladies who helped me with my order were lovely, but I found it a bit confusing when the one making my bowl asked if the portions looked good. I didn't have the heart to tell her it looked like half of what I used to get. My large bowl now holds the same amount as a medium, with the filling not even reaching the lid. The sauce is no longer mixed in unless requested, which I didn't realize until it was too late. I didn't want to be a hassle and ask for a remake. The wintermelon tea was missing about an inch of liquid and was so sweet that I could see the syrup floating around. It's disappointing to see my favorite poke spot looking nicer after renovations but falling short when it comes to the food. read more

Split parking lot with parking on both sides. Overall fairly easy access. Limited outside seating, this is basically a take out affair. That being said this is probably the best poke in the area. The fish is always fresh. They have classic Hawaiian options that many places lack. They don't over charge for toppings and you pretty much can get anything you want toppingwise without an uncharge. Overall if you are into poke it is a can't miss. read more

I used to go here a lot before I moved away over a year ago. I recently returned for a few months and have been there twice. The first time wasn't great but edible. I thought it was maybe a bad day so I visited again and it was worse. Way overpriced, and the food is just not as good as it was a few yrs ago when they'd mix it for you. The worker who I think is the owner wasn't very friendly, and skimped on the portions. Too bad the quality went down and the price has gone up. I don't see us ever coming back. read more

First time at this poke spot. The portions were amazing and the girl working even got me a fresh batch of rice. I got 3 proteins and basically all the toppings. Sauces tasted delicious. I will definitely be coming back! The shop was also small and cute with a good vibe. read more

Line was nearly out the door upon arrival! 2 employees working quickly with a busy lunch rush. While waiting for my turn, I browsed the menu and was especially interested by the fish and sauce options they had. Different from other places I'd been to before. Once they got to me, service was fast and friendly. Prices are very fair for poke and among one of the cheaper compared to other options in the area. They had a great tea bar selection as well! Definitely will return to try other flavor combinations for both food and drink! read more

New Owner, Not what it used to be.... Confirmed they are under new ownership, sad to say I could tell immediately, the girls that use to work at bluewater were always very welcoming, polite and generous, they are now very stingy with portions not only with the protein but with all toppings, had to request more cucumber multiple times and only got a couple slices each time lol, I was also told by owner I had to have sauces either all on top or on the side I couldn't request a single sauce on the side, they also no longer have a cash drawer, you need to have exact change or card, listened to owner criticize the previous costumer for not having correct change or a card to use and then he exchanged words with the customer after me because she asked for more salmon, she only got a half portion because tray ran out and instead of refilling tray and giving her a full portion he just gave half scoops, service and atmosphere is definitely not the same as the old bluewater. read more

Food was pretty good. Our server, Cassandra, was awesome and did the best she could. Should have been 5 stars. The problem is the management. One employee on a Sunday afternoon?! I counted over a dozen in line and 3 food delivery servers waiting for to go orders. We ordered our boba teas, 3 of them, before the rush of people. We finished our meal and the line was still growing. Our drinks will have to be dessert at this point. Also, could use more tables for customers to sit. read more

Stopped by Bluewater Poke in Redlands and had a really good experience. The fish tasted fresh and there were plenty of toppings and sauces to build a bowl exactly how you like it. Everything was made quickly and the portions were generous. The place was clean and the staff were friendly which made it a nice, easy stop for a meal. I usually really like the poke here but maybe it was an off day. I asked for two scoops of salmon, and it looked like there wasnt enough for the two scoops of salmon. He scooped the rest, but the second scoop barely the full scoop. I get that this place is more affordable than others, but I feel like if im paying for the scoops they should at least be full.. my third scoop was tuna and some of the pieces were really fishy and warm today (usually its not like this). I wasnt able to eat most of my tuna for this reason. also spring mix would come out of the tin and the worker would just use the tongs to put the lettuce back in. I personally feel that thats unsanitary.. and in regards to the sauce, if its going to be placed on top of the bowl I feel like it should at least cover the fish. Unfortunately the worker only put enough sauce to to cover a small portion of my bowl. After I tried to mix the sauce to cover all the toppings and fish, it was bland because there was not enough sauce :( i was just very sad about my experience today bc I usually enjoy coming here. read more

The owner Jeremy responded to my review. Instead of making it right he decided to attack me. And no he did not offer free food, he told me he wouldn't sell me anything and instead would give me my money back which I agreed to because I refused to give my money to someone with such horrible customer service, by the way my money is still not back in my account. I've never had such horrible experience ever. The way THEY OWNER was handling the food is disgusting. I spoke to my friends and coworkers about my experience at this place. The fact that I would get better customer service from his employees than the owner himself is mind blowing. Give me my money back!!! read more

Management has them weighing everything from rice to sauce Extra Small portions on rice and protein You get multiple sides. But you only allowed to have one per each so you can't have two of pineapple. Restaurant is super small inside prices are outrageous. read more

Overall it's not a bad place to grab a quick poke bowl. I have had better quality bowls for less at other locations. Also, there is not a whole lot of protein options compared to almost every other place I've been. Other places offer a lot more options, but if you like the basics of tuna & salmon, this place will do. The service was nice, the two who helped me out were nice. The ambiance is clean, but you definitely don't want to sit around there. There is no outside or inside tables & even if it was the door is on a very busy street with nothing special... the highlight of your possible view will be seeing a police chase that started at the Walmart across the street haha. The Bluewater Poke spot is more of a grab and go spot. It has two 2-seater tables inside. I do wish there were a few more tables but I'm not against the concept at all. There's no phone to call in an order here too. I think they have a system to do an online order, which I may try in the future. 6 step order process when you walk in. It's fairly simple and easy to understand. The workers are also extremely kind and walk you through the process. The quality of the food was so delicious. The ginger was flavorful, everything was great. The worker recommended adding a sauce to pair with their house ponzu and I'm very glad I trusted him! It went well together. Great portions and flavor! This is the first time trying poké in Redlands, and I have to say I was impressed. For $12.50, the portions for the regular size are pretty generous with their unlimited toppings. The fish itself is good and tastes fresh, especially within the price point. Not sure what happened, but both mine and my partner's order didn't get any sauce at all on our orders. This resulted in a bland taste and I had to add soy sauce to help with it. I don't know if the recipe was changed, but the Hawaiian tuna/salmon also tasted off, as if there was Cajun seasoning added. Some of my salmon pieces were sliced super thin and were gray. I did order online, so I wasn't there to correct the order as it was being prepared, but I feel that with all the customizations printed out, they shouldn't have missed adding our sauces. I've ordered from here before, so maybe it was just an off night for the employees. Still, I'd like to receive what I actually ordered the next time I come by here. read more

It's so hard to find good poke in this area, but I can't complain about this one. They have suggested marinades up on the wall, and they also have Hawaiian poke ready to scoop! Excessive rice on the bowls unless you let them know. Not vegetarian friendly - only option is tofu. Friend has IBS and can typically get avocado as their protein but they said they would have to charge the extra fee. Extra fee was fine except both of our avocados had big pieces of skin. My salmon serving had one very suspicious piece. Ordered a tea drink that was so bitter we had to throw it away. Good location near freeway entrances and it has one table with 2 seats, about 6 high chairs and some outdoor seating. Overall - disappointed and will not return. read more

Seaweed tasted chewy. It took 1 hour to get the food. 1 hour!! There was only 1 person who make the food, refill the sauce, make the drink. The staff is very slow. When it was almost my time to get the food, the person told me that he ran out of rice and there's only brown rice left. This is at the peak of lunch. I'm quite surprised that this place didn't plan ahead for the rice nor for the sauce. The fish tasted bland. I had bad bloating and gassiness after eating here. I don't think it is fresh. The staff seemed friendly. I ordered a large but the portion size and the servings of fish were pretty small. Staff didn't even knock all the fish out and did the cup. I try to have poke about once a week and this was as small or smaller than most medium size bowls I get. Not cheap either, you are paying for a large portion.
